    This pub has a variety of seating and rooms to suit all. We ate here twice in late September 2026. A Sunday roast (one of each - Pork and Beef) which were both outstanding, and 2 meals off a midweek menu (Ham Hock and Pork chop) which were both superb. Not cheap but worth every penny!

    We brought my mother here for her 83rd birthday having been earlier this summer. Food was again excellent and the service was also first class. The service could be viewed as a little formal but that is a positive comment, not meant as a negative in any way. We shared the chicken pie (which was superb!) and my father and I both had their version of ham egg and chips which was excellent. Will come back again

    First visit. Relaxed informal atmosphere. Immediately shown to our table and asked if we would like water. Amiable service, not pushy but enquiring. No long waits in-between service but it was moderately busy. Food was exceptional and I wish it was my local
