A Fantastic Evening at Birmingham College of Food – 10/10 The four of us visited the Restaurant at Birmingham College of Food and decided to sample every dish on the Autumn Dinner Menu between us. Having tried everything available, we can honestly say that every course was exceptional. From start to finish, the evening delivered restaurant-quality food, impeccable presentation, and a genuinely memorable dining experience. A well-deserved 10/10. Before even discussing the food, it's worth mentioning the restaurant itself. The recent refurbishment is absolutely exquisite. The space feels modern, elegant, and welcoming, creating the perfect setting for a fine dining experience. The stylish décor, comfortable atmosphere, and attention to detail immediately set high expectations, which were more than matched by the food and service. The starters were all outstanding. The pan-seared scallops were perfectly cooked and paired beautifully with the rich chorizo and butter bean fondue. The soft-centred Scotch egg was a masterclass in flavour and texture, while the John Dory Galliera was delicate, refined, and enhanced by the truffle and parsley cream. The goat's cheese fondant was equally impressive, with the butternut squash and pickled shallot providing wonderful balance. The main courses continued the high standards throughout. The grilled Scottish salmon was expertly cooked, complemented by the smoked haddock croquette and silky Cullen Skink cream. The roasted rump of lamb was tender and full of flavour, with the balti jus adding a unique and successful twist. The venison loin was cooked perfectly and paired brilliantly with sweet and sour parsnips, compressed pear, and a rich Grand Veneur sauce. I recently visited The Ivy Temple Row and had a lovely experience. The food was really nice, with every dish well presented and full of flavour. The atmosphere was relaxed but stylish, which made it a great place to celebrate. It was my birthday, and the team were kind enough to surprise me with a complimentary birthday dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the occasion feel extra special. Service was friendly and attentive throughout, without ever feeling rushed. I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal or a special occasion venue, and I’ll definitely be returning. Super food and great service in lovely atmosphere

Decorated beautifully, perfect location and lovely staff. We went around 9:30 on a Wednesday morning and it was nice and quiet, staff were really lovely.
