Excellent food served by excellent staff, in particular, Emily Jacques.

I had liver and bacon which I love. Liver has to be cooked just right or it’s tough. This was perfect and delicious. Staff were attentive and friendly.

Great food and drink in a fantastic pub. Brilliant service catering for gluten free diners!

Went for Sunday lunch, which was excellent and good value, especially when compared to other pubs in the area. Only two little niggles: 1. They were out of Bakewell tart by 2pm, even though it wasn’t particularly busy at that point 2. Drinks were added to our bill that we hadn’t had - although these were promptly removed without quibble when I pointed it out

We both had delicious salads and didn’t realise it was music night so were serenaded as well. It was a little loud downstairs in the restaurant but this did not detract from a great evening.
