Blacklock is a modern take of the Great British chophouse nestled in the corner of a Grade II listed textiles warehouse. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails from the trolley and wine on tap in our subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Roast almost as good as Mum's. Bookings and Walk-Ins available.

We specialise in phở, the Vietnamese noodle soup and also serve delicious curries, rice dishes, wok-fried noodles, and fresh salads too. Our starters such as summer rolls and spring rolls are perfect for sharing with friends and family. We also offer an entirely gluten free dessert menu with dishes like Pandan waffles, condensed milk ice cream and a Vietnamese affogato. Over a third of our menu is vegan, and nearly all of it is gluten-free, so we are a great destination for people who follow those particular dietary restrictions. Owned by Jonathan & Joanne Tindall since 2002, this cosy inn is also a hotel, serving as a brilliant base for exploring the Peak District, whether it be a visit to Chatsworth House or a walk along Froggatt Edge. Boasting an AA Rosette, the food at The Chequers ranges from the classic fish and chips and burgers to the seasonally-changing dishes such as lamb rump, seabass and vegetable pithivier.
