The Gallipot Inn lies a stones throw from Ashdown Forest and has an excellent reputation for food & drink throughout the area. Famous for our dishes including lambs' kidneys with red wine sauce, probably the best 'Smokie' (Poached haddock gratin) in Sussex or seared King scallops with crispy prosciutto & pesto.During the summer months fresh fish is our speciality and moving into autumn local game will be showing on the special board. Our wild terraced garden in summer is one of the best you'll find in Sussex and in the colder months we have roaring log fires to keep you warm and cosy. Our menu is 95% gluten free and is adaptable to any food allergens or intolerances. The Folland family warmly welcome you to our establishment.

Beautifully arranged over three floors, Bohemia delivers a full lunch and dinner menu that includes both large main dishes as well as small tapas-style plates and sharing boards. We are proud to say that all of our dishes, sauces and recipes are freshly produced in-house by our team. There are many seated areas within Bohemia’s quirky interior, including The Library and The Snug. For the warmer months, guests may be seated at the front of the venue, where they can take in Brighton in the heart of The Lanes where tables and chairs sit on the historic cobbled streets. Heaters and blankets are provided in cooler times.Families are always welcome at Bohemia…in fact, children are our VIP’s. We have a ground-floor baby change room & toilet, and children’s menu…and they may enjoy playing on our Pac Man machine (or the adults might!)We serve our A La Carte menu, which includes a roast menu only available on Sundays. All food is prepared fresh and in house, with quality ingredients.

The Gallipot is such a wonderful gastro pub. The food is always outstanding; a very select menu rather than a long list of choices. The staff are always friendly and attentive. It’s a distance from us but always a favourite, especially for special occasions. Cannot recommend it enough!
