Great meal - every course was excellent. Impressive selection of amuse bouche and pre desert appetizer ! Outstanding value for money. Friendly relaxed venue. This was our 2nd visit. We will definitely go again.

Went out to celebrate my partner’s birthday and had such a great experience. The service was amazing—so attentive without being over the top—and the food was absolutely delicious. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We loved our experience at Stark, despite some trepidation about not being able to order preferred dishes and to avoid disliked foods. We enjoy excellent food without the fuss and stuffy ambiance that some Michelin starred restaurants can have, so this was perfect for us. There was only one course I couldn’t eat (a fantastic looking duck liver parfait with onion chug and crispy shallots), owing to my dislike of livers. But my partner ate it for me. We both dislike goats curd, but the pre-dessert involving this could luckily be served without this element, so we didn’t feel we lost out. The beef course was absolutely delicious - perfectly cooked. A very tasty fish course and a slightly sinewy but nevertheless very flavoursome duck course. Wonderful starters and nibbles. A final dessert that tasted light (I’m sure it wasn’t) to round everything off. My partner had the wine pairings and three of them were exceptional. I had a sip of each to taste (I was driving). Thank you to the team for a lovely night. All the better because my partner was cross that I’d booked it, was ready to hate it, but then had a wonderful evening!

I really like this restaurant. 2nd time of visiting but a while apart. We went on a Monday lunchtime and it was very quiet but the food and service is really good here. Made me question why we hadn't been back more often!

The service was excellent and done in a good spirit. The food was very good. With the Sunday roast beef, I was expecting not slices but a 'chunk' from a larger cut. I was a bit worried it was like a pack of sliced beef from Sainsbury's! Everythink else was excellent.
