The pub is lovely and full of character and the staff are delightful. The food was delicious although for me there was too much going on e.g. the fresh broccoli had some sort of sauce on it that was unnecessary in my opinion. The service was very good and we will definitely return

We visited The Green man for Sunday lunch and had a wonderful experience. The staff were absolutely lovely and incredibly accommodating, even though some members of our party arrived much later than planned. Nothing seemed too much trouble, and we were made to feel very welcome throughout. To start, we shared some bread for the table, which was delicious, and the starters were excellent too. For the main course, I chose the sticky shoulder of lamb roast, and it was outstanding, tender, full of flavour, and cooked beautifully. The vegetables were perfectly cooked, and the cauliflower cheese was particularly good. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Our grandson had the fish and chips, which looked delicious and disappeared very quickly! Overall, the food was excellent, the service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We had a fantastic family meal and would happily return. Highly recommended.

The food was wonderful but we had to wait quite a long time because one of our party had ordered the pie and it was cooked from scratch (that doesn’t happen in many restaurants and meant it was superb quality) . The waiter (who was mostly excellent) was new and had forgotten to warn us about this… if we’d have known, she would have chosen something else as we were all pretty hungry! On a plus point, the Fox was really accommodating, I kept having to change the size of the party and this wasn’t a problem! I would definitely recommend going to The Fox Inn to anyone wanting excellent quality food and a lovely atmosphere.

Amazing food and service, not to many Gluten free options which was a shame. Overall a lovely experience.
