Belden House, in the heart of Litchfield, Conn., offers sophisticated seasonal dishes, sourced locally, and with seafood often as the star ingredient by Executive Chef Tyler Heckman.     First time going. Overall very good experience. Waiter Jeffery was great. Drinks were great and service was great. Overall feel was great too. Great vib but not loud so converse was good. Farm to table appetizer with crispy Brussels sprouts was delicious. Great we could make a reservation too. Stuff I would work on. Crispy chicken was dry. Table lights shin directly in your face. That’s it. We will definitely go back again.

    25th birthday dinner (even though the waiter messed up the desert and thought it was our anniversary). Yum yum yum yum yum. They read my reservation notes ahead of time. All flour is European so I was able to eat my heart out! Good service. Tony was super chatty in all the good ways. Bread was meh but everything else was amazing. The duck was genuinely one of the best things I’ve ever put in my mouth. The meat was so tender and the skin was sooooooo crispy. I liked the pasta a lot too. It was so flavorful and chewy. Desert was also memorable. The sorbet was a perfect sweet yet tart. Mousse was so buttery yum. Vibes were also super charming. I would totally come back.

    We went to The Laurel for a breakfast pop-up. The food was phenomenal, the decor and ambiance very nice and the servers were wonderful and very accommodating for our party. The chef is great and we can't wait to go back and experience more.
