Mimi’s Bakehouse is a second-generation family business established in Edinburgh in 2010, when Michelle Phillips sold her family home to open a bakery café in Leith. We have gone on to build a local success story brand that gives people a ‘hug when they walk in the door’ as the original café has since doubled in size and the business has gained five more shops, a successful website selling cakes online and a concession at Archerfield Walled Garden. We also opened an industrial bakery in March 2020, out of which most online trade is produced for fulfilment. Mimi’s Bakehouse has become one of Edinburgh’s best-loved bakeries and an award-winning brand which is a well-known “feel good” place to visit, while remaining small enough to go the extra mile and try new things.

    We came over for the weekend from Dublin and booked on recommendation. Absolutely beautiful surroundings, atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff couldn't do enough. We had 2 birthdays and they had left a card on the table..a nice touch. Food and drinks were delicious and so reasonably priced. We went to the Ivy the next night and it was overpriced and a huge let down. Would choose Tigerlily every time and we will definitely be back.

    We booked Mimi’s afternoon tea to celebrate my Grandma 90th The staff were so attentive, went above and beyond to ensure she had a brilliant time The afternoon tea was delicious, perfect selection of sandwiches, cakes & scones They brought out a birthday brownie and sung happy birthday which was a lovely surprise

    Lovely open and modern dining room with good spacious cocktail bar attached. This is the second time I’ve dined here and have to say that the waiting staff are excellent. Very pleasant, friendly and very professional. If you ever decide to come here please try the Ox cheek it’s LUSH!

    We didn’t seem to be offered all menu’s- we saw others served food not on the menu we had? Our meal was however very good.
