About

Situated on the terrace of Pop Brixton, Zoe"s Ghana Kitchen offers a cosy space where you can access something a little bit different. The menu is simple twists on classic Ghanaian food with traditional Ghanaian beers and a small, carefully selected wine menu. The kitchen is open, so you can watch the chefs at work.

Our laid-back restaurant combines the authenticity of the Ghanaian chop bar experience with contemporary dining, and Zoe will always persuade you to indulge in a little more adventurousness in the Ghanaian culinary and drinking department!

Coming for a pre-gig drink or dinner? Try our range of Ghanaian beers or specially matched wine menu with your meal.

Great food and unique menu. Giant drinks and a quirky setting. Not for people who cant handle spicy food!

The food we had was good, but they had run out of the things we wanted the most and we weren't even there that late, so that was quite disappointing. The service was also poor

Food was good, but staff (one waitress and one chef) were overstretched, hence service was slow and hurried, once it arrived. Venue was too small to accommodate the 6 people in our party. Seating at the benches is very cramped. There were 2 dustbins near our tables. Can't really recommend this when there are other Ghanaian restaurants in town.

Do not buy drinks, it is quite pricey .

Booked a table via Opentable but we still had to wait ,other option was to sit on the bench. So not sure booking a table works.

Food was ok, I have had better Jalof rice.

Great place to sit though if you get a table outside

It was phenomenally good. The food was wonderful and the price was very good. The staff were friendly and despite being rushed off their feet were so attentive. Would definitely go again, the location was also awesome.

The food was very good and the staff very friendly . However we had specifically gone for the brunch and the Boody Mary's and maybe the unlimited drinks package , all which is advertised on the website menu for the weekend . None of this was available and the staff seemed unaware that some of this was ever on the menu , so I felt a little let down please don't advertise what you don't have .

My parents were visiting for the week so I took them to Zoe's kitchen and they loved it! They thought the food was excellent. The service was quite slow that day but they compensated us with some complimentary food.
If you are looking for a quite place this might not be for you, it's within Pop Brixton and on a normal weekday they had a DJ playing electronic music quite loudly. It didn't bother us but it might bother some people.
All in all, definitely can't recommend this cute casual place enough. If you go don't forget to order the chicken and the lamb, they are great!

It was ok, not spectacular or terrible. Loved the plantain chips and okra fries; tilapia was a little anaemic. Food took quite a while to arrive. Do want to come back and check out their brunch menu though.
