Woodlands Marylebone calificaciones y reseñas
Went with friends for a post-Diwali Dinner. Lovely setting and atmosphere.
Staff were friendly and inviting, felt like a valued customer. Didn't rush our party of six,
Very tasy food, menu had lots if choices and they cater for Vegans too....WIN WIN Situation.
Very casual Veggie Indian. Lovely to have a menu with dishes you don’t see in typical British/Indian Restaurants. Food was great! Bit slow to come and speak to us after we sat down but after that service was ok. We’ll definitely go back but will be careful not to over order - the dishes were bigger than we expected
Not bad at all, but not great. A legacy restaurant that perhaps rests on its laurels a bit. Superb vegetarian selection but not that much for vegans. Saag a bit bland, and the dosas were good but not unusually special. I wouldn't go back, but it's not a bad choice
Wonderful, wonderful food. I love the menu here - the only problem is deciding what to eat. I have been to India on many occasions, love Indian food and cook it myself and I swear that Woodlands in Marylebone served up the best paratha I have ever eaten! It was just perfect. Very calm relaxed atmosphere. Service is genuine and efficient. Woodlands is my favourite vegetarian Indian restaurant in London. I also frequent the branch near Picadilly which is equally wonderful.
We were hoping that the service would be a great deal better than it was. We were greeted by a very pleasant woman and the ambiance was OK. However, out waiter was surly and unhelpful.
We were also overlooked inspite of it being a near empty restaurant. When we left the waiter was smoking a cigarette outside the door and we ciuld barely pass. I might add he did not say goodbye and thank you for coming!
Myself and my friend had lunch at Woodlands recently. We were very disappointed to say the least. The food was very bland and my main dish was terrible and tasted like it had come out of a tin
The menu looked amazing which was why we booked Woodlands as we are both vegetarian but the food did not live up to our expectations and we would not return there
Generally ok, but I found the food a little varied, some was a bit bland, and a little sloppy, e.g. the sag dish. Obviously tinned spinach, why not use fresh spinach? I had a vegetable jalfrazi, not particularly spicy or interesting and appeared to have some sort of thickener use, like gravy granuals. Tasted ok but was expecting something much more creative from this restaurant given the positive comments made by others. Service was homely and a little slow. Friendly staff though. Call me old fashioned but a tablecloth would have been nice!
Food was yummy at Woodlands and great for me as a vegetarian not needing to worry about meat - we went for a Thali so the choice was also taken away and got to try a number of different things. Service was good, would recommend to friends meeting for an easy, relaxed dinner.
The new menu is a little disappointing as thalis have almost disappeared. THe dosas were the smallest I have come across anywhere in the world and much smaller than in this restaurant previously. The service was not good. This was the second time I have experiencd overworked waiting staff who take a very long time to attnd to customers. In fact they do not do so unless vigorously called to a table.
The quality of the food was not what we had expected at all, everything was gruff, thick (Uttapams), dry (Dosa), over salty (Dosa filling) or underflavored, and somehow lacked the finesse and shape one expects at a restaurant (Idlis). We were very surprised since we had heard good things about the restaurant. Service was slow and struggling to keep up.
After concert dinner for 9 people. Excellent service, warm efficient and helpful. When one of our party announced lactose intolerance they produced a range of extra dishes with no fuss and did not charge extra. Stayed open beyond kitchen closing time just for us. First class dosas and veg jalfrezi, breads, lentil dishes etc Highly recommended.
Excellent food and good options for all dietary requirements. Friendly, helpful staff. Fairly good value for money, given London prices. Lacking atmosphere, but perfectly pleasant and able to chat and hear one another, which isn't always the case. I'd definitely return and try more of the menu. The Thali was a good starting point to get an idea of what's on offer. And it was adapted to cater for my gluten-free requirements, with a substitute dessert - thank you.
