WeHo Bistro calificaciones y reseñas
The food and service are both good! Not phenomenal but good. The tables are really uncomfortably close together and the host made us feel guilty for wanting to order off the regular menu instead of the Valentine's prefix menu but overall it was a decent experience.
Went here for Valentine's Day. The food was pretty good, but not outstanding. It would probably worth the regular price but our tab came to $90 and for that much, and it definitely wasn't $90 good. My much larger gripe is that the service was terrible. We made reservations in advance and it took the waiter over half an hour to even ask us if we were ready to order (and at that point the restaurant still wasn't even full). I said that the Valentine's Day special looked great, but explained that we had tickets to a show that evening and had to be out within an hour. He assured me that we all could get our food and be out within an hour, no problem. Nope. My date didn't get any part of her meal until 55 minutes later and after 75 minutes we had to leave without me ever even getting my last course. When we asked for the check, the waiter tried to get us to stay claiming that it would be out "any minute now" but not once did he apologize for the delay. The inside of the restaurant has a great atmosphere but the outside patio area (where most of the seating is) is decidedly less so (it's like you're college apartment, it's okay but not nearly as nice as the pictures make it out to be) and it's unfortunately pretty loud (especially on a holiday) since it's right on a main street. Overall, the food itself was good but overpriced and the service was absolutely atrocious. There are enough great restaurants in this section of town that I won't be going back and will probably recommend against others going here.
Booked a table for Valentine’s Day, based on reviews, and Open Tables categories “Romantic” and “good for a date”.
Husband manages a popular French bar in the evenings so we have to have our valentines date during the day time and thought it would be good to go to a French restaurant.
Knew it was a mistake as soon as we arrived when the manager shouted from behind the counter “you can sit anywhere”.
Sat outside to find we were sitting in full blown traffic, (didn’t feel like going inside after such a poor welcome) food was good but cold, no offer to see desert menu & served by 3 people even though place was practically empty.
There was a teddy bear with a valentines balloon sat outside the restroom and that was the extent of their effort.
Not sure if the mistake lies with Open Table and it’s ratings category but this is more of a casual breakfast/brunch eatery. There are so many nice places to eat in LA, Unless it’s for breakfast I doubt we’ll be going back.
Wonderful Food, Warm Hosts and Superb Service: What an achievement to find this lovely small restaurant after traveling in from Washington, D.C. The food was thoughtful, delicious and varied, served by Jesse, our favorite server in Los Angeles. Both he and the host were solicitous in getting us seated and comfortable. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Though it was chilly at night, we were comfortable in their outdoor area with heaters above and the clear plastic flaps on the sides. Loved the bottle of reasonably priced wine as well as the delicious Greek salad, snails and the Abigail crepe. There were lots of food choices on the menu. Our family members living in LA look forward to a return!
We enjoyed this restaurant for the first time. The weather was perfect for sitting outside. The staff was attentive and pleasant. We did not feel rushed by them. It was Sunday brunch, a time when you kind of linger over your meal. The only uncomfortable part was that the hostess holding her tablet with I guess reservations, kept eyeing us to see when we were getting up. That's not so unusual, but then the owner or manager came out, and the two of them did the same thing several times. I was very uncomfortable; I was taking a friend out for her birthday. The turnover in tables was often enough that there would have been other tables available. And in fact, there were always tables available indoors. Not sure if I'll go back.
Consistently good. Always able to accommodate a table for us. My grumpy mother likes it and she often tests the patience level of the waitstaff. They are always pleasant and attentive no matter how demanding she gets. It's easy to get in and out of and there's a free parking lot! Makes a big difference when you're trying to navigate getting an older person in and out of the restaurant. Menu is interesting and diverse. You can get breakfast any time, and their eggs benedict is delicious. Also, their mushroom soup is hearty and satisfying. I haven't really eaten anything there that isn't good. I'm also a vegetarian, so they have a good amount of food that I can eat. Great place to have as an ace in the hole when you're thinking of somewhere to eat. If you live anywhere near WeHo, you've probably driven by this place dozens of times and wondered if it's any good. It is.
WeHo Bistro is an exquisite small venue with a perfect menu, very authentically French influenced. Brunch is great, breakfast available all hours, and if you enjoy French food, choose the menu option that let’s the server and chef decide what you get as a surprise! Can’t go wrong, lovely staff and atmosphere, and in LA - they have parking always available next door!!
WHBistro is conveniently located within walking distance from where we live and has become, in the last few years, our favorite neighborhood restaurant ...one we visit often. We like the unpretentious but charming atmosphere, the friendly but professional staff and the consistently fine food. It’s always a special treat to dine there. A bit of France on the busy corner of La Cienega and Holloway. Go. You will not be disappointed.
The outdoor patio would be perfect if not for the traffic noise. But the cuisine makes up for any inconvenience. Excellent French items including great escargot. Salads at lunch are large and flavorful. Breakfast is available all day. Service is pleasant and welcoming but not obtrusive. Make reservations. The place is popular.
What at once appears to be a neighborhood restaurant is that but much more. Patrons come from all over for the experience and the menu. The staff is well trained and motivated. The kitchen has a retrained but creative touch. Even parking is easy for this busy WEHO corner. If you don’t know what
Bistro dining is all about, dine here. We go often!
I was visiting LA and saw this restaurant featured on social media, this is a great spot for a nice meal. Had the French onion soup which they are famous for, checked in on Yelp and you get a free cup of mushroom soup which was also tasty. Our server recommended the duck which was cooked to absolute perfection! Also ordered the special pasta dish of the evening and the bolognese spaghetti, it did not disappoint. My party and I left feeling 100% satisfied with the food and service.
We had a wonderful experience at WeHo Bistro. I have visited the restaurant usually for lunch and this was my first time for dinner. It was my birthday and we were a larger table of 7. The restaurant was accommodating and dinner was delicious.
A friend of mine had been urging me to try WeHo Bistro for several years. Finally last October, I went with him. Since then I and my partner must have brunch there once or twice a month. We love it!
The meal starts off with bread and butter which is amazing and a preview of what's to come. I love the half order of waffles with strawberries and whipped cream. It is just the right portion for me.
Granted since we go for brunch, we haven't tried that much on the menu but I will tell you that the cream of mushroom soup is also incredible! The quiche Lorraine is another reliable dish.
The ambiance is charming considering that it's at the corner of La Cienaga and Holloway. (You have to check out the bathroom!)
Jeff the owner and his staff are most gracious and welcoming.
We had a great experience last night for dinner. The lamb chops were, seriously, the beat I’ve had and I would say the entire dinner was top 3 in all my travels. Servers were very attentive with multiple people checking our table. Beautiful interior and atmosphere. Top rate!
