Love the uncle Julio's spicy jefe margarita for two! My son always gets the chicken and steak fajitas, the adults mix it up. Consistent solid food with a fun ambient.

Food is usually good. Service is always hit or miss. The bar service is usually slow and the servers don't check up with you as often as they should.

Noise very uncomfortable... we could not speack to each other

It was a good night and we really enjoyed ourselves the food was great and the waiter was friendly it was good night.

Lets start by saying there was no wait and they actually sat us at the time reserved. However it all went downhill after that, starting with our waitress who wasn't very friendly or attentive. We waited eleven whole minutes before anyone greeted us at our table... Also it was National Margarita day and they had no specials and the waiter even said to us that she had no idea what day it was. We got the manager involved who seemed sincere and swapped our waitress for a waiter by the name of Josh who did his absolute best to try to turn around a bad experience and make it into a great one. Moving along my food came out with hair wrapped around my shrimp, yuck I was completely disgusted and to add insult to injury not once but twice my sister asked for her drink with light sour and no salt but surprisingly they did it wrong both times. This was our first time at this location and we truly do not plan to go back. We usually go to the one in Virginia and will be going back there for both the food and service. I am super surprised with the service that was given to us at this location.

The place is very nice. The food is really good. The only thing we didn’t liked is that we order a plate that said 6 jumbo shrimps. And when it arrived there were 6 small shrimps, I complained and the answer was: it’s the name of the plate! What??????

As you walked in the noise level was unbelievable-could bearly converse with the hostess.
Chips and dip were very good but the tacos with ahi tuna were filled with mostly vegetables and cheese- tuna was maybe 3/4 of an inch in each of the three tacos.
Margaritas which should have salt around the edges had salt dribbling down the side and tasted mostly like margarita mix.

Would not even consider returning.

Everything was great! Food was good, it came out pretty promptly. We al ordered the lobster, steak and chicken fajitas. We also ordered table side guacamole which was excellent!!! I’ll be back soon.

There was an issue with our check and a tip was already added to the receipt. We were a party of 2. I have been here many times over past few years and the first time this happened.

Always our go to for Mexican food. Normally crowded so good to make a reservation. Fajitas are the best around. Same every time we go, we always enjoy!

Happened upon this place in Bethesda and we were incredibly impressed. Ordered guac (huge amount was brought to table), tortilla soup for me and eggs and bacon for husband and daughter. The breakfast portions were significant, so much so that they could have shared an entree. Very tasty, clearly fresh, and generous portions. Will definitely go back!

My wife and I tried the rice with cilantro bowls - she the chicken and I the beef. These were not good. Not consistent with their traditional Mexican dishes. I do not recommend any of their bowls in the lunch menu

Very nice Restaurant, Great food, the waiters are amazing and respectful.

4 of us. None liked the Tuesday Tacos. Felt like protein was leftovers from previous day.

Fabulous meal that included honey glazed chicken fajitas and veggie tacos. Servers were great with recommending veggie and gluten-free options.

It was a busy night at one of my favorite restaurants. Lots of birthday parties and carry out orders for consumption, no doubt, during the Oscars. So we waited 30 minutes for a table. And it was, as always, worth the wait. The food, the service, the fun was up to Uncle Julio's standards. And that is a high bar. We will be back...often.

One of our favorite spots and it never disappoints. Blanca, our server, was amazing.

But for the impossibility of conversation due to the noise level, we had a great dinner.

The quality is always good. The servers were very nice and helpful.

We love uncle Julio’s, we normally share the steak and chicken fajitas for 2. we saw there was a new option to upgrade the steak to filet so decided to try it. Unfortunately the filet, unlike the regular steak, was very spicy so we didn’t enjoy it, we just wish that it had been noted on the special that the filet was spiced differently than the steak, or it had been mentioned by the waitress. Additionally the restaurant was VERY loud so it was hard to have a conversation.

It was a great evening, my son enjoyed the birthday celebration and we didn't have to wait our table was ready right on time. Our server was great and the food was very good. Thanks.

The only complaint was this trip is that it took a long time for the food to come out despite it not being a busy night.

Other than that, it was great as per usual. I f@$king love Uncle Julio's.

Took our son who was visiting from out of town.
There was some confusion while waiting for a table but a manager was very apologetic and gave us free guacamole.
Gave us my birthday discount gift as well.
We enjoyed our meal and is a fun place

Great food, great service, perfect for families with small kids.

The salsa is amazing! The prices are high, but we enjoy the Taco Tuesday special!

IT WAS GREAT!

We are regulars at this location. Service was horrendous on this date. One girl literally dropped our dinner down on table. Never asked us if we needed anything after food was delivered. Our actual server was polite just very inefficient while the other server was actually rude. Chicken and steak fajitas NOT hot. Overall very disappointing. We ran out of salsa and they never brought more. Poor food & service at Uncle Julio Bethesda on 12-22-19.
