Our annual Christmas dinner with friends. Food service drinks etc AMAZING. However children running around and diners dressed in very “casual” attire brought our special night down a peg. However love love love Tuskies!!
Disappointing. Very disappointing. Will not be returning.
Great evening with excellent food, wine and service!
I look forward to eating and drinking here. It's a 90 miles round trip for me. Due to the season, winter cheer, end of year and all, lunch on the boss was scheduled. We had a great time. I love this place. Excellent service, again and again, a fabulous spirits, wine, and beer selection. White linen tables. Fabulous light. What's not to like?
My lunch on Wednesday was almost perfect. I ordered the Tuskie's Eggs Benedict. My tablemates went with the Flank Steak, and the... Ahi? salad? They finished theirs, I almost finished mine. The beans were, not really done. My opinion. The potatoes were, a bit over done. My opinion.
It was lunch, the boss is buying, the service is fabulous, I'm sitting at Tuskie's, what's not to like? We sat having lunch for close to 2 hours and staff was attentive and cool the whole time. You'll probably have a good time if you choose to drink or dine here.
As a person that had to go gluten free for health reasons, there are so many foods I have given up. I was pleasantly surprised to find GF crab cakes on the menu! I haven’t had crab cakes in years so I was very excited to try the Tuskies version. They were great! I had lunch with cousin I haven’t seen in years. She absolutely loved the ambiance and the food. Thank you Tuskies for giving my family a great afternoon.
Absolutely superb food and service! We highly recommend the duck breast and steak
Had our pre-holiday dinner at Tuskies and it was a delight as always! Feel like an old friend coming home and being seated at the best table. All the staff and especially, Mark, our server, went over and above to make our dinner the best ever.
Food quality was very good but, wouldn’t consider outstanding for the price. Well decorated for the Christmas season and service and ambience is quite good but can be a bit noisy. All that being said, a favorite in Leesburg!
Totally caught by surprise, excellent food, warm atmosphere, great wine selection and wonderful service from start to finish...truly BRAVO!
Romantic ambience, great cocktails, great food and service.
Waitress was fantastic. We were greeted warmly and taken great care of. The food was superior, and the drinks were generous poor. I will go back to this place in an instant. A great place with wonderful atmosphere.
One of the best restaurants in the region. I wish they could have more vegetarian options but the food is great.
From the moment we sat down until the time we walked out, the experience was fantastic.
I had not been there in over a decade, and was pleasantly surprised by the food! It was better than I remember (not that it wasn't good before). Service was good, and the bartender poured some tasty house cocktails. I recommend the Vieux Carre. I will definitely be making this a regular dinner destination.
Great food. Service good. Could have been offered more bread
Energy -filled without being overly loud; great service -our waiter was really helpful in helping us choose our beer flights and wine. A really unique atmosphere and fantastic menu - so many really different things to choose from. The beef and scallops perfectly done - vegetables on both plates crisp and so well seasoned. The one big flaw - the fish of the day -flounder- was dry and way overcooked - could have done with a nice herb pans sauce and the accompanying polanta was bland and gooey. Deserts were yummy.
We thoroughly enjoyed our family dinner at Tuscarora. Everyone loved their entrees and the service was great. In particular, the flank steak and crabcakes were especially good. They also make great salads. We were a group of 9 and they gave us a nice roomy table. Tuscarora is a very charming restauarant.
"Tuskie's" has been a favorite go-to in our family for over 20 years. Relatively new Chef Thomas Harvey, who replaced 25-plus-year standout chef Patrick Dinh just under 2 years ago, has maintained the high quality of the food and the great menu (keeping many of the favorites) and continuing to introduce new seasonal items. We had a great day-after-Thanksgiving lunch/brunch. The Corn Chowder and Butternut Squash Soup appetizers were delicious. Friends enjoyed the Eggs Benedict, a special of the day large Grilled Shrimp Salad, and the famous and delicious Shrimp & Grits. I had a special of the day Flounder on a bed of Polenta with Chanterelle Mushrooms and Asparagus which was good, but the fish was a bit dry. Desserts (we split 2 items among the 4 of us) are made fresh on site and were top notch. Service was also first rate - all this from a kitchen and wait staff that I'm sure was pretty tired after the Thanksgiving marathon the day before. But there was no sign of it in either the food or the service. It's why we continue to love and count on Tuscarora Mill and will keep returning.
Good meal, as always! The menu is great, the service was attentive and the food was delicious.
It was like a dream once we met our waiter. The service, the food, the cleanliness, just overall excellent. This was our Thanksgiving meal and It definitely surpassed our expectation. Thank you so very much
Was not prepared for the excellent service, surprise menu with our Anniversary printed on them, and tremendous food. This establishment sets a high bar. Surprised not more restaurants follow suit. They are simply one of the best in Loudoun.
Excellent meal, excellent service. Pretty restaurant.
From the moment we arrived at Tuscarora Mill, staff were warm, welcoming and friendly. The historical buildings are charming, and our seating in the sunroom afforded nice views of the courtyard below. All three in our party found it hard to choose from the many tempting menu options, so we really appreciated our delightful server sharing an excellent knowledge of the menu, as well as details about the variety of specialty ales available. Our food was beautifully prepared and delicious—We were amazed at the skill of the chef in achieving a perfect sear on the salmon, the delicately crisp texture on fried green tomatoes, and the generous crab cakes emphasizing delicious lump crabmeat. This was a birthday celebration to remember always, and every aspect of our meal brought joy on this wonderful family occasion. Thank you so much to the staff for creating such a heartwarming experience!
It was our 1st visit. Celebrating 59th anniversary. Had menus with our name and acknowledgment of our anniversary. All of the staff made us feel special and very welcomed. Service & food were excellent. On leaving we were given a wine glass filled with candy. Will definitely be returning.
another outstanding meal....the antelope was excellent
Great service, great dinner, great wine. We'll be back for sure!
Good for lunch, but the dinners leave something to be desired. Interesting wine list though. Service is a bit spotty, the list of specials drones on like War and Peace being read.
As always, a wonderful choice for dinner with friends! The service was amazing. The food delicious. Perfect!
Excellent! Seated quickly, waiter was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered an old fashion cocktail and he suggested your special house one. It was very good! The organic chicken and beef with scallops was delicious.
Exceptional food. Sunday brunch
Good dinner - six people for a birthday dinner. Our server was outstanding - understood our need for separate checks and splitting the b-day persons bill between us. Very attentive and nice. However, the noise in that restaurant in a busy Saturday night is terrible. Very annoying. Food was good but I would never go on a weekend night again. They have packed each part of the restaurant with tables and every time someone tries to squeeze by they knock a coat or a purse to the floor. The servers are always excusing themselves to move between the tables and conversation is difficult.
Touted as the best restaurant in downtown Leesburg, it lived up to its billing. It was a Saturday evening and very crowded and loud, but the service (Megan) was very correct and well timed - only one quibble concerning salads that came with dressing, not on the side as we had requested. A very interesting, diverse menu including a game dish of the day which you don't often see. I could imagine going back to this restaurant.
Delicious, seasonal specials served in an ambiance of comfortable elegance. We had a drink at the bar afterwards and felt relaxed and pampered. We came for a special occasion, our anniversary, and will definitely celebrate with the Tuscarora Mill again.
Our favorite place in Leesburg. Have been going there since it opened.
Excellent food and very pleasant experience. Staff was unobtrusive and timely.
We experienced the typical fabulous service and had a wonderful meal.
Overall excellent experience. I had the antelope for the first time and it was wonderful.
We always enjoy going to Tuskies, whether for brunch or dinner.
This time we took a good friend out for her birthday and we all enjoyed it very much.
Amazing Sunday brunch! Beautifully presented, delicious food choices, fresh omelettes, delectable confections. Great place for getting together with friends!
Excellent food and service. The only mild irritation was having a ten minute wait for a table despite having reservations.
