True Food Kitchen - Fairfax
The cauliflower polenta was so delicious also our waitress was so kind!
The food was great and definitely fresh! I just wish there were more gluten free options, I would've ordered a pizza if it had a gf crust. I'm not sure how often I would go back just due to the lack of variety for me to choose from with my allergies. It was a bit too dark and noisy eating inside, might have eaten outdoors if it weren't so hot out. Service was great!
Food was served cold
Food was great as always, haven't had a bad dish yet. Service was very good as expected from previous visits.
Very Great food. Not a fan of drinks (juices & teas) as they have a very strong taste that is overwhelming.
Good food, good service, overall good experience. will go there again.
Enjoyed the meal, which was delicious, and the atmosphere and service were great too. Highly recommended.
Always love this restaurant! Great revolving menu yet awesome staples...just love to visit!
Great restaurant. Usually fantastic all the way around. This last visit the service suffered a little. The restaurant was busy. Didn’t take away from the experience. Highly recommend True Food.
No special Mother’s Day menu
Had to return dish
Good food, outstanding service. We'll definitely go back.
Everything was very good. When I mentioned that I can't eat coconut and ask for a different topping option for the fish taco's nothing was offered. I suspect there was something they could have offered, but no. Otherwise, the food was good, we had a reservation so the wait was reasonable and the service was fine.
Always a smart choice for healthy, incredibly good foods. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. My go-to for work lunches, girls brunches, and everything else in between.
After running errands all day we went to the Mosaic Angelika for an afternoon movie and were here for afters. This is a beautiful spacious restaurant and it was quiet midweek. We ordered the fish tacos which were good- and the Korean noodles- a bland version of the original and smothered in beansprouts- the add on shrimps were good though- and I enjoyed that- the shitake mushrooms were overglazed and soaked in sauce. The ambiance was cheerful - service friendly- and for us otherwise a pleasant experience on a busy cool late spring day.
Cobb salad was a little bland. Server seemed to not know about some of the details of the specials.
I've been to True Food Kitchen several times and have always enjoyed it. This time I left disappointed. I got the chopped salad, and it was pretty flavorless. Ingredients were fresh, but it was just meh. My friend asked for some bread, and it took forever to get a plate of pitiful pita. I felt sorry for it. I'll go back, and I will recommend it to others, I just won't recommend the chopped salad.
Second visit in about a month - excellent food and excellent service.
Excellent experience. Food was delicious and fresh! My vegan friend loved everything he had and we loved our vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. Service was wonderful. Will be back!
Way too LOUD! The interior is just a big, open cavernous space with no noise buffering whatsoever. Do not plan on having a conversation when this place is busy, unless you want to shout yourself hoarse.
Food was fresh, but pricey. Cocktails ranged from "there's no alcohol in this" to "did they pour a double shot in this one?"
All in all - I'd only return at an off-hour when it's quiet & order wine or beer next time. It's one of the few half-decent vegetarian places in the Mosaic District.
Very healthful and delicious. Great that it matches my lifestyle and diet.
Liked the food but not sure I would go back at a peak hour as we (a party of 3) had to shout to be able to hear each other.
Great place to go on a Friday night that has quality food and specialty drinks. Server took 20+ mins to get us beer/wine but other than that, everything was great! Definitely not a quiet place if you’re looking for that. Cool atmosphere and delicious fresh food.
Kale guac is great. Love their pizza. Honestly it's the most friendly, attentive kitchen in town when it comes to dietary concerns.
Food was excellent. The noise level is so high though, and the tables are quite close together. If you don't mind a loud atmosphere then you'll love it.
My favorite place in mosaic!
Great gluten free and vegetarian options. Good for a diverse group. We love it for girls night out
Tremendous service from our server Bobby, who provided great menu recommendations. Awesome food. Thank you for a great family birthday celebration...
Will be back!
The young man who took us to our table set the tone for the lunch. He was charming, funny and welcoming but not unctuous. The food was excellent and served promptly. The tables are a little large which combined with the loud environment makes it difficult to have shared conversations. That said, I would return with a smaller group and recommend the restaurant.
Delicious food, attentive service
Noisy but not to the point where you can’t talk
Every few weeks my family gets together for dinner. Since we found True Food Kitchen we have been frequent visitors. The food is amazing and the service has been nothing but top notch.
This restaurant is very good, mainly because it serves healthy food and the food is very well prepared. WE have been there many times and always leave the restaurant satisfied. One problem is the noise level, it is very hard to hear what your table companions are saying.
Some of the outstanding items on the many: Ancient Grains, Lasagna, ginger drinks.
Despite requesting an outside table when I made the reservation, there were none available when we arrived. We were told we would have to be put on a waiting list. We ate at the bar instead.
The lasagne is delicious and only 450 calories!
Great food. Tasty, healthy, and creative!
Seating did not take long and Service was super fast. The food was delicious!
True Food Kitchen has a great menu of fresh and seasonal selections, including handcrafted cocktails and juices. I got a Garden Scramble, which included eggs, quinoa, sweet potato, and broccolini. I would definitely recommend True Food Kitchen for anyone looking for a good brunch option on the weekend!
I used to love true food kitchen, but this is the second time I’ve been there on a busy night and my entree was again abysmal. I ordered the inside out quinoa burger and it was half the size it normally is, not to mention the “avocado” was like a tiny smear on one half and the burger itself was flavorless. The largest portion on my plate was the side salad. Come on true food, don’t overbook if you can’t maintain quality control especially when folks are paying 14 bucks per entree.
Great food heathy food options, great for groups. Excellent vegetarian options. Chia seed pudding is always our family's favorite desert.
Food is delicious. Just wish I had refills on my tables drinks available. I'm always having to wait and track down my waiter when I come here either to take my order or refill my water or iced tea or wait 10+ mins for sweetener🙄
The service from beginning to the end was exceptional! The food was delicious! The price was more than resonable.
