Trio - Puerto Vallarta

We still consider Trio to be the best restaurant in Vallarta. Always great food and service.

Excellent dinner. Best calamari I’ve ever experienced. Perfect meal with perfect service. Great value. Almost everyone in the restaurant was from the US or Canada.

Beautiful decor, attentive staff, wonderful food choices. All protocols for sanitization and distancing are being followed. One of my favorite restaurants in Vallarta.

Always a great time here. Food is excellent and staff superb. Wine list always has a couple of nice Barolos available with some age on them. One thing I REALLY like is the ability to have a small or large portion of a number of dishes. Trust me on this, get the smaller portion as it's plenty. Pasta and seafood tend to be the standouts and the Foie Gras is excellent.

Outstanding flavors and very fresh ingredients. The sea bass was the best I have ever had. Everything was cooked perfectly and we had outstanding service. Highly recommend.

Fantastic service and food!

We have dined at this restaurant four or five times per year and everything has been spectacular. The service and food is excellent, just as expected. The only negative issue that we experienced was a single person, dining by themselves, decided to watch a Russian show on his iPhone. It was very loud and unexpected in this restaurant.

Trios is always good - not great but good. They have done a good job of separating tables and following covid guidelines.

Amazing we have been dining 14 years. Never get tired of the red snapper with lime cilantro.

Delicious sea bass!!

We were excited to try Trio for the first time and we’re somewhat disappointed. Our waiter was a total loss, forgot to order our drinks until we asked, brought someone else’s salad and generally acted like he was a zombie. The food was good and the dessert exceptional but for the price we have had better in PV.

Not as good as it used to be. Been going for years and years and food was not the same quality. So sad :-)

This was our first visit to this restaurant after several years in Puerto Vallarta. We were greeted and shown our table. Our waiter was very attentive. As the restaurant got busier the service diminished slightly. I think one table was demanding. My husband and son had soup and salad and dinner. They both enjoyed their meals. My son is vegan and they modified his meal to accommodate this. My meal was not very good. The noodles were slimy and the shrimp really tough. I didn’t eat much and the waiter asked if it was ok. I said it was fine. He mentioned they would comp my meal and I told them not necessary. Anyway when the bill came the dinner was not on the bill. A really nice thing is that most meals are offered as smaller plates or larger plates. We all had the smaller plates and they were very filling. We will go back to give it another try since everything other than my meal was delicious

Best food and value in PV by far. This was our 3rd or 4th visit and we were not disappointed. Delicious!

The Mezcal margaritas were the best we have ever tasted. We haven’t been to Trio’s in 10 years and it is still excellent. The carrot cake dessert was superb. Also the ravioli appetizer and artichoke soup.

Trio has always been our favorite restaurant Puerto Vallarta. Service deserves a 5+ rating. It is superb. Unfortunately, my rack of lamb was a on the tough side, though the sauce was delicious. The Seabass and rabbit received very good reviews. We will definitely be back.

Had to re do the bill which had a couple of incorrect items.
