We went to have dinner with family and watch the fireworks. It was a perfect view and a nice experience
We had a wonderful evening on the water. Good food and cocktails. Even found us a table in the shade. Thanks!
Unbeatable outdoor dining location, food was OK (good fried calamari, tasteless fish tacos). Large terrace with tables far apart, a number of health related protections (masks, plastic cups, etc.). Good place to go for those who like me hesitated to go to a restaurant these days
I really enjoyed myself even with the social distance. My group had a great time and the food was amazing
The food was delicious. I especially enjoyed The Smokehouse fish board.
A table close to the water, great scenery and met some new cool friends.
I’ve been to Tony and Joe’s but this was my first time dining outside and I truly enjoyed it. Will be going again soon
great oysters. Good location. Very good service. I would come. Nice summer sunday atmosphere
I REALLY LOVED THIS PLACE AND MY FIANCÉE ALSO LOVED IT MAKING TONY AND JOES OUR SUNDAY BRUNCH EVERY SUNDAY
Great space to sit outside and watch the scene. Food is very good, service was great.
Great food and atmosphere! I definitely will be back for another date
Great food and better weather
Great experience I love that there is hand sanitizer on the table
I love Tony’s. It has a vibe that you cannot find anywhere else in town. Great food, great bartenders and staff.
Everything was cool for a midday lunch. Only minor detail I could think of was there was some spilled drink/food under my guests chair that never got cleaned up. Everything else was good
Great service and food
The food was decent if not exceptional but the service was slow and inattentive, bordering on non-existent for our party of 5. At the end of the meal when we made our displeasure known to our server she erupted in a fit of anger that we would dare to even try to offer any constructive criticism. I will stay away from this place in the future.
Excellent food, served in pleasant outside dining, socially-distant from other tables.
Seating was outside due to COVID-19. However, the scenery was great, and so was the food and service.
Spectacular view. The food was really good! We sit outside at their large seating area. Service was pleasant and efficient .
Looking forward to coming back.
Very limited menu. Small portions. See ice and view were great.
Took a very long time for the waiter to order our food/ even ask about food.
Enjoyed a nice dinner for one. It was take myself on a date. Beautiful view and great service. We(I) had a great evening.
quite expensive, watery cocktails
The calamari and old bay fries were good. The service was not good and the staff wasn’t very accommodating
Slow service, quality of food poor for the cost . Seafood overcooked and dry.
Every time my family ventures down to Georgetown we make a habit of stopping at Tony and Joe’s for a martini, and this time was a little different. I had just learned that they had re-opened for outdoor dining so I jumped on Open table and made a reservation for the four of us. I have to say that I was impressed. For starters the outdoor dining area is great. You don’t get the street noise of being up the hill, instead you get the views of the Harbour, Roosevelt Island, Kennedy center, and city view of Rosslyn. The staff are all wearing masks and sanitizing regularly which made us feel safe. Now the food. We stuck to our roots and ordered Martinis, but not the usual ones we ordered the elderflower cosmos and they were amazing. Naturally we started with some oysters because well why not. Nicely shucked and clean. Then it was time for some supper. Two of us had split the Chesapeake steam pot which was very different from the southern ones we are used to. It was let’s say something I would gladly order again. I wasn’t expecting a tomato base but it was worth it. We also ordered the salmon and it had a wonderful glaze and the potatoes were so flavorful and melt in your mouth. I am sure next time we are in Georgetown we will be back to try some more of what they have to offer.
The food was excellent!
The cocktail shrimp are overpriced here. 5 medium sized shrimp for $17 is crazy.
Steam pot lacked flavor, I ended up sending this dish back and ordering the shrimp tacos which were delicious!
This was not a good experience. Not only did they add an additional charge when using a credit card (who carries that much cash around with them these days). But the quality and quantity of food has gone done tremendously. Even the drinks from the bar wasn’t good. I won’t go back until I hear they have gotten back to the way they used to be.
My anniversary was that day. We really enjoyed the service and
For a first return for a dining experience, was a little underwhelmed with the service, especially after having so many weeks to perfect your craft. Food was delicious, but the service was sub par at best.
Great View great ambiance. But expensive
Great experience sitting by the water. The staff was so welcoming and made up for the COVID regulations with their excitement. I wanted everything on the menu! I'm excited to bring some friends there.
Consider a higher quality bun on the crab cake sandwich and not packaged condiments...maybe you had to do that because of Covid though. Overall it was great!
Service was slow, ended up ordering 2 drinks at a time because of this. Food was decent, blackened fish tacos were sub-par but other menu items were fantastic. Great views and comfortable space.
Graduation/18th Birthday Celebration
The food was ok. Small crab cake and fries really had no taste. We waited a while for our entrees. The area is beautiful but it can get loud. We had someone next to us bare foot and having a meeting on her laptop in the corner. She was not eating just in the corner by herself. The waiter was nice so I don’t want to say the staff was bad.
We love sitting “Dockside at Washington Harbor and haven’t been to Tony & Joe’s in awhile. The evening ambience, food and service were excellent. The quality of the seafood accompanying veggies it’s preparation/presentation and service were excellent. A very enjoyable evening!!
Food was really bad, service was slow. They were not cleaning tables after each party and there was a table with a birthday party with too many people gathering.
Not a place for a nice meal. Boats were pulling up blasting music, people drinking, smoking J’s and trashy af. Did not fit the perceived vibe. I was probably in the minority of people that expected value in food, because I bet the expectations are well managed for those who frequent the place, and get drunk at 11am regularly. If that’s your scene, you’ll love this place.
