Extremely impressed by the COVID-19 safety measures the management has implemented for the safety of the customers and staff. As always, the food was excellent. The special Easter cocktail was terrific (please add it as a regular!!!). The pig cheek appetizer just melts in your mouth. We had the brisket platter and pulled pork sandwich- tender and delicious with the peach/habanero bbq sauce. The rosemary fries are awesome. The service was perfect. We’ll be back for sure.

No complaints, but nothing groundbreaking. I'd eat here again if I'm already on 14th St., but I'd prefer Federalist Pig or DCity Smoke House's selections and prices better.

From start to finish the overall experience was pretty awesome. Didn't mark far right because I'm very hard to truly impress to that degree. I would definitely recommend the place if you are into Pork meats, hence the name.

The 10% COVID surcharge needs to be stated in the OpenTable App as well as the server needs to reiterate same. The food is decent, but is not worth the price. 3 people were over $150.

The food, service and ambience were all very good, and the restaurant seemed to take a lot of precautions for COVID. The only thing that bothered me was that we were there during happy hour and got charged more than was listed for the drinks we ordered. I mentioned it to the server who was accommodating and went back to change the bill, but when she came back the prices were still off. I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to argue it a second time, but I definitely think the servers should make sure the offers are updated or just make sure they know what is being offered.

Fantastic Saturday brunch at The Pig. Our starter, the pork buns, were an absolute FLAVOR EXPLOSION. IMO the highlight of the meal, though the Pumpkin Coffeecake with (wait for it) brown butter bacon ice cream was INSANE. Can't wait to return.

Made reservation for 4pm Sunday for outdoor seating. We were seated right away. It was on the street seating. The area is fine but there was noise from beggars and young people on the sidewalk. We ordered the sausage board for an appetizer with pints of beer. Delicious. For entrees we ordered the pork tenderloin sandwich which was huge on thick bread and delicious. The pulled pork sandwich which was great and my husband and I split a platter with pork ribs, beef brisket and chicken which was filling and tasted wonderful. We shared sides of Mac and cheese which was good not great. The meats was all tender and seasoned well. We left with two boxes, full bellies and plans to go again.

Given the seating restrictions due to COVID, it was very helpful to have a reservation. The service was fast, the server was friendly and helpful in explaining some of the meu choices. The ribs were delicious; wish I had ordered a full rack instead of the half rack! Fries were nicely seasoned. All in all a very good first visit. Will be back.

We had such a great dinner at The Pig! Started with drinks and appetizers at happy hour, then entrees afterwards. The local beer selection is great but I especially enjoyed their cocktail selection, very unique and ties into the bbq scene. We had the truffle Mac and cheese to start and I had the ribs for dinner, all fantastic!

Food: I was disappointed. Ive been looking forward to this place for a while. Unfortunately, the best items we had were the salad and chicken dishes (wings and entree). The face bacon was tasty if you can eat a lot of fat. The ribs, pulled pork sandwich and pulled pork lettuce wraps, along with coleslaw and mac n cheese were subpar. The meat was tender but not seasoned and the sauce wasnt great. The brisket was bit on the dry side. The banana pudding and strawberry shortcake missed the mark as well.

Drinks: This is where they shined for the evening. Better than all the food we had.

Ambience: So to be fair, it is CoVid and thus we sat outside in the parking lane where they created outdoor space. There were homeless and mosquitos all about. We had to go buy spray during our tenure.

Service: Lackluster for a place that wasnt crowded. They charged one card twice and didnt charge another. Repeated request for water.

I would try a different bbq spot. I think it's telling when the best thing you offer is chicken, but your name is the Pig.

Overall the food was good. The pulled pork was the best thing we ordered and the brisket was the worst. Seriously don’t order the brisket. Our waiter was really nice but was the only one working indoors and outdoors.

My poor little pandemic nerves have been too bad to go into restaurants to actually sit down and enjoy food in public, but when my husband and I went in to The Pig with intentions to order take-out for Restaurant Week, it seemed safe and we decided to stay. I'm so glad we did. It was our first time there and everything they put on the table was delightful. The sticky wings? Get those. The pork belly sliders? OMG. And the ribs? Chillleeee. (Also, the banana pudding is something special.) So many restaurants in DC are just OK, the bare minimum wrapped in a lot of hype, but this place impressed me from beginning to end.

Such a perfect place to (socially distance) meet with friends. We were at a very nice window table, there were other people in the restaurant but we weren't feeling crowded.
Highly recommend the BBQ chicken and greens - might be the best Ive ever had. One of my guests had the full BBQ platter and raved about the smoked brisket. Really enjoying this new BBQ menu - pricing is very good and the food is excellent. Always a neighborhood favorite, even better now.

The Pig is a great all around place. The food is always very good, especially the fried pork belly buns! The service at The Pig is very good (both table service and bar). Happy hour at The Pig is a good deal as well. Overall, a great place!

Came in on a Monday for a dinner date when I was visiting my girlfriend in town. Never been to The Pig, but when we arrived it was cozy, smaller spot in DC and not busy at all at the time (also very clean and sanitary). From the jump, we got great service and attention. Ordered and received our Meat buffet quickly. The food was delicious, and the sweet tea was fantastic, along with their homemade BBQ sauce and coleslaw. Would highly recommend and for a decent price!

Great meal! This was everything we wanted after getting into town. Yummy food, great drinks, great service. It was during covid and we felt safe, QR code for menu, very good distance between tables, masked servers, good ventilation. Really happy with our choice t eat at The Pig.
