The cheese and chocolate are the best part! Don't really care for the meat and veggie course but it's decent!
We had a blast. Our waitress was amazing and made sure to make us feel welcome.
I took my fiancé to a surprise dinner Tuesday evening to celebrate his birthday and our upcoming wedding. The food was AMAZING. & our server truly made our night unforgettable. We had the best time. I would recommend this place to anyone for a special evening.
Efficient and friendly service, excellent food quality.
Server took too long waiter forever for wine. Seemed a little attitude. Didn’t honor coupon.
Rip off. We were sold the four course as our only option yet none of us got the cheese and only 3/4 of us got the dessert. Not at one point were we told there were other options. Service was poor as we were needing water at least 3 times and hadn’t been checked on in over 20 minutes. Will not go back
Everything was wonderful
They ran behind and we waited a long time however the management handled it very well and took good care of us.
We had a $75 discount letter based on a poor dining experience for my birthday. This time was also terrible. We don't want another discount or anything like that - we have decided to just not go back. The hostess barely looked at us except to say there weren't tables ready. We waited half hour only to be sat in the bar. Once in there it took another 15 minutes to order wine. The wine bottle was just dropped on the table - not open and no glasses. That was finally handled but the food order was wrong. The whole thing was just a complete mess. Again, I don't want a call from management or anything like that - it is too expensive to eat there for terrible service. This is the fault of the management - the place is just poorly run. I have already shared our opinion with multiple people who would consider dining there and will continue to do so. We really wanted this to work out.
Outstanding service. Would recommend to anyone seeking a fun time with friends or family.
My wife loves the Melting Pot restaurants so we went there for Mother's Day. Only complaint I had is once our main meals were served we didn't see the waitress again for more than 30 minutes. We asked another employee for more vegetables and he never brought them either. Aside from that food was good but very expensive.
Good food and good drinks. Prices are above what I wanted to pay, which is really the only thing I would change. I really do like this place but it's over priced.
This was our first time. service was outstanding. great fondue!
Not worth the money. $55 per person should get you a very decent service and high quality meal. Melting Pot has neither of those. Very disappointing.
We love this place. Food is excellent and services are great.
We had my grandma in a wheelchair. They put us at a round booth, every time someone had to get in or out, the waiter brought something or needed to mess with the stoves my grandma had to back out of the way in front of another table behind eating. It was embarrassing for her and annoying for all. That is not appropriate handicap seating. If my mother and I hadn’t drove 45 min. We would have Left at the first “wheel out”. We had a meal over $250 and to be inconvenienced the whole time like that, it was not relaxing and was not a good experience for the kind of money you have pay to eat there.
We had an outstanding experience. It was our first visit to the Melting Pot, and it did not disappoint! Our server was friendly and helpful, and the food was plentiful and delicious! We had so much fun.
Good place to enjoy with family and friends. Tasty food, great experience!
We had a great time celebrating a birthday and early Mother's day. We had a group of six but they expertly accommodated us. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and fully explained and answered our questions. Our salads were fresh and crisp. Our sweety/earthy cheese choices were delightful and served as fondue OJT for handling our main course. Some giggles at fondue floating entrees. We went with sweet chocolate and rocky road to top the dinner off. It was a fantastic experience.
Need to clean menus, a bit sticky for the price point, it took 10 min to see service person after seating. Other than that , the food is fun and atmosphere is fun.
2nd experience eating at The Melting Pot. Both experiences were consistent. LOTS of food, variety of choices, and intimate setting. Perfect date night spit provided you come on an empty stomach.
We made a reservation several weeks prior. The table was ready soon after we arrived in a quiet area towards the back. Everything started out fine through the ordering process and then fell apart. Our server was a ghost. We sat for 20-30 minutes in between each of 4 courses. She would come rushing over suddenly and practically threw the next servingware in front of us and rushed off. She never asked if we wanted any beverage aside from the first drink order and never refilled our cups or asked if we wanted more (which we did!) I was sorely disappointed. For $100 meal, I expect superb service and I got less than satisfactory service for even a $40 meal.
A very nice place. I enjoyed my meal. Their chocolate fondue dessert was excellent. My family really enjoyed that portion of the meal.
We went for a birthday celebration. The place was empty and cavernous. Dark lighting and high open ceilings-bad acoustics. The waitress kept telling us she was new and didn't know how things worked. It's a challenge to figure out what to choose as the cheese type is decided as a group and how much to order and what to cook in (oil was an up charge). It was expensive $50 per person without drinks. We didn't know how to cook the entrees and finally the manager came over and explained. This would be a fun place for a dessert party or just drinks and fondue for teens. The dinner took 3 hours and we walked out saying "never again, but glad we experienced it once". Oh, and the compressor was broken, so no draft beer, only more expensive bottles. The "complementary Birthday dessert" was a 1" cube of pound cake.
Always love Erin. Great food and drinks. Our fav date and special occasion spot!
Great selections and fun for a date, but we had a rough time with the server having too many tables- she couldn't seem to refill a drink so we sat for quite a while without drink at times. The other servers seemed to be handling their tables, so it was most likely just the one servers issue.
We went to celebrate our son's birthday. It is expensive so we only go once or twice a year. Enjoyed it!
Our waitress was great and several staff members stopped by and wished us a happy 34th anniversary which was very nice. The food was ok except for the salad which was skimpy, not that I didn't get enough to eat, I really got too much, but the salad was the low point of the meal. Service was slow, took 2 1/2 hours for dinner, but I don't think that was our servers fault and again she was really great. I would bring my wife back again as she really likes the fondue thing but not my choice for regular dining.
Growing up in Herndon, VA the Melting Pot was always the place to go for special occasions. Although it was close, I never went. Many years later, my wife and I decided to go their for our 12th anniversary dinner! It was amazing.
Jack, our server, was exceptional. He was attentive, but not too attentive! The ambiance allowed my wife and I to talk uninterrupted and without a lot of outside noise from surrounding tables.
Our server took too long between serving us. We needed water, had to wait 20 minutes and then ask another waiter for service. We waited too long for everything.
As always, The Melting Pot was worth it! I met three other friends there, one of whom had never been. We enjoyed the four-course menu and some wine as we caught up with one another. We thought it was a ladies night, but we were mistaken. But even paying more than we had planned to didn't dampen our laid back evening. Our server was great, as was all of our food. We all had trouble reading the menu with the ambiance lighting, but we managed. :)
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary dinner. The food was delicious and we were not at all rushed. The table was private and quiet. Perfect food and setting for a special occasion
I counted no less than 4 glasses or something dropped somewhere at various time. Also, some waitress over the wall was yelling instructions to her table which destroyed our atmosphere
The last two times I have been to this restaurant I have experienced, in this order, the best service I have ever had at this location followed by the worst service I have ever had. The food is always good but the service needs to be similar to the former and not the latter.
Cherry blossom menu was superb!
Amazing!! Everything was great!
We went for a special cherry blossom-themed menu. It was delicious. Had a fun time.
This location has horrible service. I have been here for a few special occasions and everytime something goes wrong. The staff have a horrible attitude and treat customers as if they are doing them a favor by serving them. The few that are good get over-shadowed by the rude ones. The food is inconsistent and the price is high for a place that is not consistantly good. I have been to many other locations and this is the worse.
I don’t recommend it nor will I be back. This is the second time they have messed up the check royally and refuse to fix it. I went for the promotional $4.11 National Cheese Fondue Day and said it up front. Before the cheese was brought out I asked what the options were if we ate the rest of the meal there. The server said for $22.95/head we could get a 3 course meal with choices of meats and a salad. We agreed. But the bill came to $117. When questioned over its math impossibility, the server said she hadn’t taken the discounts off yet. She came back, left the check and wouldn’t come back. It was still $117. I asked to speak to the manager who tried to tell me it was actually a favor done to us but offered to take off $20. The bill read we had dessert but we never ordered it, it never came and we ended up paying for it. Even their Big Night Out Date for 2 was $95. This bill was higher than anything on the menu and all we had was cheese, salad and meats. This is very unpleasant and totally unprofessional behavior.
