The Melting Pot - Arlington VA
Great experience food was outstanding as well as the service
My friend just got married and I’m turning 40 at the end of March. We had reservations for 4 in the restaurant. But, 2 people in our party caught the flu and had to cancel. We decided to eat in the bar and Carlos was fantastic. We didn’t feel rushed and appreciated the drink recommendations.
For sure a fun experience, but in no way is this fine dinning. The staff is dressed pretty casual, and other customers are in jeans and casual attire. The food is great, the service is great, but it’s not something to get dressed up for. My husband and I were dressed up and felt totally out of place.
Disappointing there was a mouse in the restaurant. Manager didn’t do anything other than say he will contact pest control. We were scared. Looking back and after sharing my experience with family they think it was unhygienic and should of left. Manager just thanked us for not making a scene.
Good time, good food!
The food is not so much but VERY HIGH not worth the money. The services was good. Too expensive
At least for a 1-time experience. Food was good, lots of people, server was watching the basketball game at the bar but we left a higher tip since we won’t be back. It was a fun experience, but a 1 n done type of thing for me.
The Melting Pot is very expensive, even for children. The entire meal took upwards of 3 hours.
We met distant family for dinner and had a magical even getting reconnected with our cousins. The restaurant was the perfect place to “talk story”, share experiences, and enjoy tabletop cooking together. Choosing our food and cooking method is a bit daunting, but our server, Tamara, was patient and very helpful while we sorted through our options. Before we knew it, we had been there for over three hours! This is not a place for a speedy meal as it takes time to get through each course. But we were thoroughly impressed with the Melting Pot and look forward to dining there again.
I have recommended (and taken) many friends to various Melting Pot locations from Arlington, Texas to Arlington, VA and points in between. Not once have I ever been disappointed in the quality of service or food. My wife and I are grateful for the relaxed atmosphere that allows us to take our time and enjoy the meal. While the service is never rushed, we are never ignored either. Thank you.
If you want to have "american" fondue then go there. Expensive for what it is. Will not go back but interesting to go once.
The service was really bad, and i have dined here before. But this experience was terrible and would not dine there again.
One of my fav spots. Today’s experience did not quite live up to my previous experiences here. A bit of a wait despite having reservations and overheard 3 waiters fussing about ppl already serving to the restaurant claiming it wasn’t open yet despite my party and another party waiting st the front desk inside the restaurant and it being past their 4pm open time. Waiter wasn’t as responsive in filling out drink refills or checkin in on us although he was polite. Our waiter happens to be the same person that was fussing to the other waiter when we first arrived. Great food and experience still and will def return, hopefully with a diff waiter.
Great service and great food. Couldn’t have been a better all around experience for our anniversary.
We arrived early and they were ready. We got seated and our server, Stephen came right over and explained the specials then got our drinks. The food was quite tasty and the portions were just right. A nice evening for a birthday party.
Anniversary love it
The melting pot was a fun spot to take my 8 year old for her birthday. The food was better than I remembered it from m last visit of many many years ago. Dessert of chocolate fondue is a highlight. The starter of cheese fondue was good too. The main is not as exciting since while the cooking is different the actual food is not something you can't do at home or in other spots.
Came here for our friend's birthday dinner! It was perfect! We had such a great time and will be back soon.
Everything was great! We arrived early and were accommodated as soon as possible, which made our experience even better. Thank you for taking such good care of us.
The service was a little slow. Even though we had a reservation, we still had to wait a bit for our table. Also, our table was cramped right next to the bar which didn't make the dinner seem private. Even though we were sitting directly beside the bar, it still took way too long to get drinks.
Our waiter Sky was amazing as first timers he thoroughly explained the ordering process to us and was very friendly along the way. Exactly what customer service should look like.
Great food with a professional staff and parking was cheap.
Very good place for a date. Bit on the pricy side per person
This was my first experience at a Melting Pot. Our server was an absolute pleasure and was very willing to talk through the process. Thoroughly enjoyable all around.
Our server Aiden was outstanding. He went above and beyond with exceptional service. He was very prompt and knowledgeable about everything. He went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. He is the perfect example of outstanding customer service.
There wasn’t enough food for the 3 of us. It seemed portioned for 2 people. We had to wait a long time for each course to start and when brought concerns up with the server he asked why repeatedly.
Love this place, but the server took over half a hour to even greet us then didnt even bring our drinks til after the cheese fondue. It was a nice galentine event night and i would have rather not had spent over 4 hours there on a weeknight... food is overpriced but still good.
Ladies night never disappoints. I’ve never had a bad time at Melting Pot!
Our server was the best! She made our dinner awesome.
My daughter’s birthday. She loved it.
This place is so much fun! We customized our whole dinner andt it was amazing! Expect to spend 2.5 to 3 hours here...you need that time to teuly appreciate the experience!
Fun! Just a fun night out with friends
Excellent all around.
Our server was fantastic and wonderful to the children. The food was OK but was way overpriced for what you got. The place was virtually empty and with the prices they charge - I can understand why. A bill of $400 for 7 people - 4 who were children is outrageous. For that reason alone - I could not recommend it to friends and that is why we will never go back
The bartender seemed stressed and extremely busy when we sat dow to wait for our reservation. It was an hour before we even received our salads once we actually were at our table... Food quality was okay. Definitely was expecting better.
The chocolate fondue desert was AMAZING, especially when paired with their waffles; Avieta from Belgium with Pearl Sugar. Incredible.
I always love an evening at the Melting a pot.
You can't go wrong with unlimited dippers and an attentive server.
Our waiter was phenomenal with out squirmy 4 year old. Great experience!
Food was good, service was okay - there was a mouse underneath our table and the server made it feel like that happens frequently
