The Liberty Tavern
This was our second time dining here. We did brunch “all you can eat”. I really enjoyed it as I did the first time. Hubby liked it as well. Our waiter, Billy (I hope I’m spelling it right) was very attentive and had a great personality. The food choices are good. I really liked the Mac-n-cheese and French Toast! We will definitely come back again. Two thumbs up!
Great food. Our party of four all have very different meals which were unique and very tasty. Our waiter was sort of green, but the food made up for the average service. I'm sure he'll do fine as he gaims experience and confidence. We are looking forward to returning
Always a great experience and food. Our server was amazing too (Hannah P)
Excellent dining experience and service. Savored every bite of the yellowfin tuna. We'll be back soon.
Great place for late Brunch on Saturday in Clarendon. The food was ok but at a great price and the service was very good.
Took the wife and kids out for an early Mother's day. The food was incredible, service was perfect, and it was a really good value. We plan to eat there again soon.
Tables were a little too close together
Steak sandwich was literally a medium rare steak on bread. (I wasn't asked temperature.) I had to cut it into edible bites myself, and it was mediocre and cold after all that. The fried brussel sprouts were a highlight.
Fantastic food, and wonderful service. We went early so we had the place to ourselves for most of our meal. Towards the end it seemed like every table was full! It was a great place! Will definitely go back
Amazing selection of food provided. They have something for just about every diet. You definitely get your money's worth! Brunch is all you can eat for about $25.
Mimosas are not bottomless, but they aren't crazy expensive. $6 for regular and $8 for Bellinis.
Service is great. I'll definitely return here.
Were seated at a perfect table for an active 4-year old.
Liberty is such a neighborhood treasure. Locally owned and invested in neighborhood (they have 2 other local restaurants) shows in how they treat guests and prepare outstanding food.
Love the food and the service. Great attentive staff. Food was replenished and fresh for most of the items. My only problem was it $32 for brunch, but on website it says $24.
Great for brunch. Very friendly and attentive staff. Brunch bar was just right---not too huge, but had all the delicious essentials. Dessert bar was the only lackluster part of the meal, but otherwise, a good value for a delicious meal. Atmosphere was great!
Food options limited, the food is still good but not necessarily brunch!
The staff went above and beyond to make this occasion memorable. Grateful to their wonderful service. Also - try the fried chicken and the Mac and cheese. Stupid good.
My friends from out of town and I return to the Liberty Tavern for lunch every year because we enjoy the food, the friendly and efficient service, and an atmosphere where we can easily share stories of our latest adventures. This time we had the wonderful Brussels sprouts followed by clam soup and the smoked turkey sandwich. All were ample and excellent. Our selected IPAs went well with everything. We were full by desert, so we just had coffee. No question, we will be back next year.
Best pizza I have eaten in the USA.
Excellent service, attentive yet not overly obsequious, just right !
Will be returning often. This was a real discovery for me.
Our food was great with the exception of my daughter’s order. Our waiter warned us that it wasn’t his favorite but she decided to order it anyway. As it turned out the waiter was right, it wasn’t very good. We chalked it up to a learning experience but the general manager came out and gave her a free order of her second choice and gave us a free dessert!!! They went above and beyond and I will be a customer for life!
Need to change variety in food . The meat was too dry otherwise everything is good
Overall we enjoyed the Liberty Tavern. It's a little bit too noisy at times. The hangar steak was too well done and too chewy. The other dishes we got were fine. And they brought us some extra appetizers for free, so that was nice.
Had a great lunch! Will be even better once the city finishes construction on their sidewalk. Will certainly be back. Ann our server was very hospitable, courteous and professional! Food was delicious.
We have a 5 month old and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We all had the breakfast table and it was delicious. We are definitely going back.
Overpriced buffet for brunch. Ordered a la carte. Two of us ordered French Toast. Both came out cold. Second time slightly warmer. Unsatisfying dish. Batter barely penetrated the surface so interior was tasteless. Apple topping was good. Other diners enjoyed their omelette and pancakes. Good service and good volume level.
On the first floor, there was a foul smell near the elevators. My husband commented that it was probably musky beer. We were very hungry and decided to enjoy our dinner despite the fact that everything, starting with the bread, was very salty. Add to that, a waiter with absolutely no interest in taking care of us - once we decided not to have wine and he had to remove the wine glasses from the table. We tried to shrug it off thinking that he was just tired... but then saw him downstairs extremely happy with another table. Will not be back, nor do we recommend this place.
We wanted to sit outside and enjoy the weather, took our pup with us. The service was friendly, prompt, check up on us often. We had the calamari, white pizza and a negroni. It was a great way to end the weekend.
Good beer, good salad. Outdoor seating on a sunny day was great. Could have used patio umbrellas though. Would definitely go back
Food was good but service was lacking. It took about 20 minutes to get my first refill and I never got the condiments I asked for twice.
It was a brunch buffet, but we had one guest order a la carte. It took a very long time to get his order. The peach Bellini, which is redundant, did not taste anything like peach. If you want lots of food, this is a great deal. I wouldn't go again.
Had the brunch buffet. Everything was good not great
good food and wine and we were able to eat dinner outside on a beautiful spring evening.
Amazing brunch experience. Can’t beat the price and the $5 mimosa were worth it. We will definitely come back.
Great service. Delicious food. Welcoming environment.
The food was pretty good, but not outstanding. The buffet area is very tight and if it is crowded, it is difficult to enter the area because it is a compact area without a line to join. That being said, there is a good variety of dishes, including a carving station. The beef at the carving station was quite good, but they only give you one small slice at a time. Be sure to ask for a second slice because, like I said, it can be tricky entering the buffet area. My husband said the mussels were good, and I enjoyed the tomato soup. The French toast has a good vanilla flavor and the syrup was nice and warm. We all had Bloody Marys and they came with a large shot of beer. If we happen to be in the area again, we would consider going back.
We had te best brunch. We absolutely enjoyed ourselves. We will be back. The food was so amazing.
Excellent service & food.
Had a great buffet brunch on St. Patricks Day. The vibe was fun and despite the crowds for this special day, we were able to enjoy ourselves without having to yell at each. And most importantly, the food was spectacular.
Brunch was delicious! Unfortunately, the music was way too loud so we had trouble holding a conversation with our friends.
Best brunch in Clarendon.
We loved it! Great value, good options.
