The Ledbury calificaciones y reseñas
We visited the Ledbury to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. It has been on my list of 'restaurants to visit' for some time and it did not disappoint. In fact it far exceeded our high expectations. Lovely ambiance, superb food, professional yet informal service, front of house staff very knowledgeable about the dishes on the menu and food in general. Having specifically commented on the delicious black tea glazed white aubergine, we were surprised at the end of the evening with a doggie bag containing all the ingredients to recreate this dish at home. What a lovely gesture! I hope we return soon.
Super good food, extremely good service!
Got to the restaurant only to find out we arrived not on the day that I actually booked it.. but the manager was very sympathetic and managed to find a table. It was so worth it!!!!
An expensive restaurant but really worth it.
This was my second time dining here and it was once again, fantastic! The food is exceptional, the best I've had at any fine dining restaurant in London and really good value vs similar places in the same price range (including Dinner be Heston, Gordon Ramsay, Nobu). They do seafood particularly well - we had scallop ceviche, roast scallops, and squid risotto which were truly outstanding! The suckling pig and rasberry dessert were excellent as well, and I always love the little extras like the delicious palette cleansers (we had 5 in total) and petite fours. The service is always excellent, professional and friendly without being showy or pretentious - they know their food, they're flexible with dietary requirements and substitutions, and they are very good with small details like a card on your birthday or some writing on your dessert. And the pricing is very clear - prices include service and water so there are no unexpected extras! One of my favourite places in London by a mile.
The first time I ever went to the Ledbury was my birthday lunch with a friend. I didn't tell them it was my birthday but they noticed me unwrapping a present and gave me a fabulous extra birthday treat dessert. This last visit was for my birthday again, and again I didn't tell them. There was a birthday card on the table, I got my favourite butter even though they don't often serve it now, because I had said I how much I liked it, and another spectacular 'happy birthday' plate dessert. That's all amazingly efficient and delightful and part of why this is just the best restaurant I know. None of that would matter if the food was mediocre, but of course it isn't - it's sensationally good. Every single dish looks wonderful, is beautifully thought through - a combination of simplicity with complex details - and perfectly cooked. And nothing tastes anything less than achingly delicious. I have so far managed to resist licking my plate, but I'm not quite sure how. The staff are all great and extremely helpful about everything, give smooth, efficient service while being friendly and often funny & giving the impression of being completely laid back.
I can't afford to go often - I have to save up and not go out for ordinary meals at all, and can only ever afford the set lunch. But I & whoever I'm with get treated just as well as people who are clearly sending vastly more and probably go there a lot. It's absolutely fabulous.
Simply excellent in every respect. Superlative cuisine, imaginative, carefully thought through and executed with fastidious attention to detail. Staff are efficient, courteous and open to talking about the food and wine without being pretentious, but showing a clear passion for the product. A discreet, low-key, comfortable dining room and no request is too much effort. Thoroughly recommended - probably my favorite restaurant in the UK and definitely the top culinary option in London.
Absolutely wonderful - pricey but an experience. We could not do that every day but we will do it every time we are in London. That was my second time there - and I brought three others who were so excited and felt it was a very special treat.
In short, The Ledbury is amazing. As a vegetarian, fine dining options can sometimes be limited but this was absolutely not the case here. The food was inventive and completely delicious. Wine matches were unusual but divine. Service as you would expect from a two star Michelin restaurant but not over-formal. Worth saving up for. I’ll be back.
Very happy and enjoyed the delicious experience. Staff were friendly and engaging. Place didn't feel pretentious at all. We felt very welcomed. I got to try pigeon for the first time which topped off an overall epic foodie experience. Very impressed. Highly recommend.
Celebrating birthday/retirement. Chose tasting menu with accompanying wines.
Absolutely wonderful. They were fine with substitutions for a couple of courses.
Sommelier described each wine to us, but could have been a little louder to make sure all guests could hear and understand.
Overall a fantastic venue. Tables not too close and sound levels perfect.
Would certainly Jago again and recommend to friends
Used to visit more often when I worked in Bayswater. Still a first class restaurant with nice staff - one of whom recognised us from another restaurant where she used to work. Not a cheap night out, but on balance you step out of the door feeling it is worth what you pay.
I had lunch yesterday with my 12 year old grandson. It was a memorable experience. He is just learning about good food and we loved every single dish we had.It all looked and tasted beautiful. The small items between and before courses were all fun and exquisite. The staff were superb...knowledgeable and helpful and they seemed as happy with the food and the witty presentation as we were.We were very interested in the sources for the ingredients..fish, mushrooms etc.A special accolade for the bread and the goat's milk butter, quite the best.We were able to mop up all the different flavours from the juices and sauces. We were fortunate to have had a Ledbury voucher to spend on our lunch.
The Ledbury is the kind of restaurant you only go to for a special occasion, but the staff are aware of that and make it a very special evening. They were also very attentive and helpful to our special occasion. Food is outstanding, as you would expect for a 2-Michelin star restaurant. We had the tasting menu and the scallops dish was exquisite. The wines were well-paired too, and the very efficient staff really knowledgeable in clearly explaining the dishes and the wines. My only minor gripe is that one of the waitresses pointed at the food on my plate while explaining the dish, but I had to really think to find something to complain about. A high price (£350 for two) but well worth it if you love great food and wine. A good atmosphere too - not too stuffy which can be a risk when the stars come rolling in!!
