New discovery. Great dood choices and server was excellent.
We’ve come a number of times and will be back again soon. We always enjoy excellent service and great food here, whether it’s brunch, dinner, or Happy Hour.
This place is a gem. What a cool place! Food was awesome. Our waitress Audia was superb. Only complaint is it wasn’t very busy when we arrived around 10:30am and food took 45 minutes to arrive after ordering. I can’t imagine the wait at the busier time such as when we were departing. Loved the ambiance and beautiful booths.
The food m, and service was great. The changing temperature, outside, does have an effect inside. We kept our coats on during dinner.
The Hamilton is always one of my go-to restaurants when I'm in DC. There is a wide variety to choose form on the menu, so it suits many tastes and everything is good!
The waitresses was nice helpful. Attentive. The food was good. The chili was delicious.
Loved our waiter, Daniel He was so personal and spoke with depth about the many great things on the menu. We are traveling from Virginia and Texas. We will be back!
I eat hear at least once a month. While it can get a bit loud, the service and food is incredible and I have never been a disappointment.
As always, the staff at the Hamilton make the experience wonderful! Great cocktails and excellent dishes!
We came before a Capitals hockey game. I love coming here because the space is very nice and the waitstaff is always polite and professional. The menu is large - something for everyone. My husband and I enjoyed the petit steak salad. It was cooked exactly as asked and my vodka tonic was perfect and arrived with a lemon slice as I prefer. Also they brew a nice cup of coffee.
Consistently one of my favorites. Terrific sushi happy hour. Great drinks. Excellent way to end the work day.
There were three of us. Two entrees were good but the steak showed up cooked correctly, medium rare, but was cold. We sent the steak back to be warmed. They microwaved it and it came out well done. The waiter also told us it was a new steak, which we knew it was not since the one bite that had been taken could be seen. Everything else was fine, except the steak mishap. I think it was probably the waiter’s fault that he left our food back there too long and the steak got cold. This was one of our favorite places, but this situation was not handled correctly. The steak was taken off our bill.
Excellent menu, signature cocktails, terrific staff.
Great place to go before a show at the theater. I want to tell the management to get the lights fixed at the tables since it’s getting dark earlier and we had to change tables
Because the older folks at our table couldn’t see. Bulbs were burned out. Otherwise great!
This was our first time at The Hamilton and we had a great time! Really fun atmosphere! I’m glad we had a reservation - they were really busy. We were seated and served in a timely manner and the food was great. We’ll definitely be back!
Issue was that we made a reservation and had to wait over an hour for the table regardless. The food and drinks were delicious but it was loud.
After waiting 20 minutes past our reservation time to be seated, we found the service to be equally lacking. Our wait staff took our order for drinks and a starter, then did not reappear for our entree order for 45 minutes (at no point was bread even offered—we simply sat and sipped our drinks patiently, waiting for her to stop by). She then proceeded to act incredulous when we asked for the check with our food so that we could make it to our show on time.
The food was average—I would actually rank it below the other Clyde’s establishments in terms of flavor and quality. This was also compounded by the fact that the salad ordered by a member in our party was not the same as what was delivered, leading to another 20 minute wait.
Overall, I’d go to one of the other Clyde’s restaurants over the Hamilton (said as a frequent guest of Clyde’s Gallery Place before events at Capital One Arena).
I've been to the Hamilton before and really enjoyed it. However, on this visit the service was extremely slow and all our entrees came out cold. We ordered non-alcoholic punch drinks that were terrible. I don't know if I'll return to the Hamilton and that's sad because our first visit was so nice.
The restaurant was just about mediocre. I don’t think I’d go back when in DC. ½ price sushi was good. Meals were ok. Nothing special. I don’t even remember what I ordered. So that tells you a lot.
AMAZING. Everything was incredible.
Excellent sushi and entree salads. Service was outstanding.
Loved the ambiance and food! Our booth had absolute privacy but it may have come at the cost of receiving drink refills and faster check service. Our 1.5 hour lunch came with only one drink refill. Thank goodness we had water. Other than the service delay, everything was perfect.
Mike was fabulous. Best server ever. He made our wedding dinner wonderful!
My husband and I were visiting DC for the week-end and chose the Hamilton for dinner. We loved the menu selections for drinks and dinner. We ordered the catfish and crab cakes. Everything was delicious including the coleslaw and potato salad. Our server Kelsey was great and the ambiance was on point. We would definitely return.
Very interesting menu (mix of sushi, rolls , meat, veggie dishes, etc) that initially gives one pause as to how can they possibly do it all well yet they manage to pull it off. The service was excellent and the wine by the bottle was very fairly priced .
The Ambiance was perfect, the service was great, however, the buzzkill was the espresso. Don't order the espresso as it rarely if ever is served hot. The cheesecake was average at best. The French press coffee was hot and tasty and would give it 5 stars except there were far too many grounds in the coffee. For the price, I expect the server to press that coffee, not my guest. The star of the show was the grilled zucchini. By far the best thing on the menu.
Host brought our party of four to a table for two... a booth was requested when this reservation was made in advance... we were sat at a table... food and wait staff is great, but the hosts leave us wanting...
Great food! The Sushi is terrific and service exceptional!
Beautiful restaurant! The service was excellent. Our waiter knew the history of the building, the art work and had great food recommendations.
The food was AMAZING. The service was exceptional. The ambiance was classic DC high end restaurant. There for the first time for a special occasion and we couldn't have been happier!
I have eaten at the Hamilton on several occasions and always please with the service. I tired the new chicken and rice bowl and did not like it. It appeared to be lacking flavor. Other than this one dish, I am always pleased.
The food was fabulous and the service great. The think that brought surprised enjoyment was my decaffinated coffee.
It was great food as well as atmosphere!
Perfect choice for dinner before catching a show at the National Theater. We had out-of-town guests who loved the vibe. Mike, our waiter, made sure we got in and out quickly and made some great recommendations and jokes. Happy all around.
The Hamilton is noisier than we expected, but turned out to be a positive. We did not have the feeling that our conversation was overheard.
The space reminds us of Old Ebbitt's Grill with the dark woods and clubby atmosphere, but it's way more spacious. Our party of five was seated in a large booth, comfortably seating 6. The burgers were large and pretty good. The mac and cheese was good too. The brussels sprouts side dish was very good. The lobster roll was unusual in that it came undressed with melted butter and mayonnaise on the side, so you could make it Maine or Connecticut style. Instead of fries it came with homemade potato chips served in a wire frying basket. They give you a lot of chips but they were a bit over cooked and too brown for our tastes. Beers came in glasses shaped like a beer can. The burgers were so filling that we didn't have room for dessert. The restaurant is very close to the National Theatre which was why we picked the restaurant. It was a only a block or so away so we walked. All in all, we enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Service was pretty good too. And half price sushi from 3:00-6:00.
One of my fav spots for lunch when on this side of Dc. Salman salads were our choices and once again, food, service and staff were awesome.
Great food, great atmosphere. Our server(Allison) was great. Really enjoyed rbis place and would
