Food was wonderful, as always. Wednesdays is a good night to visit - 1/2 bottle of wine!
Always the go to in our list of establishments. The is always great and the service as well. Almost afraid of telling anyone, want it all to myself.
Celebrated my daughter’s birthday. We ate outside. We had reservations but they sat us outside quickly. The waitress was busy with a large group but stopped by frequently to let us know she would be there in a minute. The food was good. My filet was not cooked medium, as I had asked, but it was tender meat and tasted fine. Loved the potatoes. Overall a very positive experience!!
Excellent service - nice variety on menu and prices are fair. All of our meals were very good and nice portion.
Great Burgers!!!..... great cocktails!!!
Waterfront deck is great!!!
Great nachos. More food than chips! Very good appetizers only thing wrong is they allow cigar smoking on their outside deck. Problem is cigar smell seeps into the restaurant. Hostess said she keeps spraying Febreeze because of all the complaints. Why not be smoke free?
Food was fine. Service was mediocre. Even though the reservation did not specify it was the birthday of one in our party, it was mentioned to the waiter. When dessert was ordered, there was a candle in it, however they forgot to light it or even acknowledge it! Just poor quality overall. Too bad, I've been here before with much better service. It will be a long while before we return.
Love this place!!!
However, “note to the chef”... I was there on Taco Tuesday.... please rethink the square, dry, heavy slaw’ed’ Talapia tacos. They left a lot to be desired!!😩
We always enjoy Happy Hour, lunch and Brunch. Wide variety menu and always great service.
Love the outdoor deck dining.
Great food, great service and we love half-price bottle night!
Floyd, our waiter, Always makes a dinner visit there and wonderful experience as he treats all of his customers as family. Additionally, having the manager always stop by table to ask if everything is a special treat rarelt found in the national capital region – –Bungalow Lakehouse is a treasure for dining
We wanted to introduced our friends to Bungalow Lakehouse
They LOVED it!
Very good all around. We ate in the formal dining area. They accommodated a few substitutions, generous serving of Prime Rib on the weekend. Very enjoyable.
Food was awesome...service was great! Would definitely recommend this restaurant for a good day/evening out!
Perfect and delicious food. Seems the wait staff was short, but otherwise all was great!
We got a reservation for Wednesday night. We had a booth, and everything was great. We enjoyed ourselves and lost track of time.
My son celebrated his 16th Birthday here, with his friends. They all had a wonderful time.
Had a great time. Thanks to all of the staff. We will be coming back.
We went for Sunday brunch. Great selection of delicious foods for a foodie, a picky eater, and a three-year-old!
Was hoping for more to celebrate a friend's birthday - used to be a fun spot several years ago (a Joe's Crab Shack), before going through several reincarnations. The interior has been completely redone. Very closed in and dark in one area; had just the opposite effect you would think of with a "lakehouse". The room we were in had the ambiance of an over-flow seating area, when very few people were actually in the restaurant. The food was serviceable - the table service was lacking (had to repeatedly wait quite a while for our waitress to pass through our room in order to make requests). Won't be returning.
Yummy seafood there!
Amazing Valentine’s Day dinner!
Dinner was spectacular! The service was friendly, professional and attentive. The food was perfect. Every detail was perfect! This was not only Valentine’s Day, but also my birthday!
enjoyed a late lunch the Food was wonderful and the service was great. we had appetizers and crab cake sandwich and shrimp po boy. seemed like it would be a nice place in the spring or summer on the water for lunch they have a large dining area on the lakeside.
This restaurant was listed as one of the top dining spots in Sterling, VA. I took hubby there for his birthday. We were seated immediately due to our open table reservation. The food was amazing; I had the Chesapeake crab soup and hubby had the Jamaican egg rolls. For our entrees, I ordered the honey grilled salmon salad and hubby had Maryland crab soup. Overall, the dining experience was great but I would have loved to seen a more expansive menu to include lobster (whole Maine or tail), oysters, and lamb.
Love most of the appetizers and a great place to hang with friends!
We had relatives visiting from out of town who are vegan and we had no idea where to take them. We offered them a few restaurant ideas. Bungalow Lakehouse had a great vegetarian menu that they got very excited about. The food was superb and the service was excellent!
It was our first visit and the food was exceptional and service wonderful. We'll definitely go back and are considering holding a dinner for a family celebration there.
This was the first time I have been there. It was cold day outside, and inside the restaurant it was warm. So we were looking forward to a good mean and companionship. However, all of us commented that the food was extremely salty. I have never been to a restaurant that used so much salt. I won't be going back any time soon.
Service and food were fine. Didn’t have one of the featured beers. Also we asked for a warm table but were seated where the breeze from a door came in as employees left throughout our meal. Other than that it was fine.
Great service and menu selection. Only drawback was the wine menu, not the best choices.
As usual the food was good and the service was good.
I invited friends for their first experience. They loved the food. Presentation was beautiful and the food was delicious.
This was my first visit to the Bungalow Lakehouse, but it will not be my last. They have a decidedly active and noisy sports bar which is separate from the dining area. Service is very good. Food was well presented and very tasty. I really enjoyed the crab cake sandwich with it's special salsa and slaw. The fries were nice and thin and crispy. Their French onion soup was perfect with lots of cheese and their salad was just right, but it would have been nicer to have half a sandwich with the soup but they do not offer that. Dessert was a bit over the top and we luckily had asked for the fudge sauce and the caramel each on the side or our shared brownie would have been too gooey to eat. As it was, it worked out fine splitting it. It is much too big for one normal human. I give the Bungalow Lakehouse four stars for taste and great service. I'll be back!
Made a reservation but we were seated in the bar area rather than the main dining room. My wife was not happy with the table and the noise level.
Bungalow Lake House is very inconsistent. The service is usually excellent but was slow when we last ate there. There was a large party in a side room, but that shouldn’t excuse understaffing. The food was okay but not great. Two in our party had fish tacos and the tortillas were dried out. The lumps of fish were so small as to be lost under the slaw. The side dish of chorizo Mac ‘n cheese was, however, excellent. Another in our party of five had the pork chops, which she enjoyed. It was a big serving and nicely cooked. No complaints. The other members of our party had steak, one the rib eye, the other a filet. The filet was perfectly cooked, but the rib eye was cold by the time it got to the table. The scalloped potato side dish with the steaks was also cold, as if it had been taken right from the fridge to the plate. Pretty disappointing as the whole point of scalloped potatoes is the warm cream and cheesy flavor, completely missing in this ice box version. Oh well. We will probably go back, especially for burger and seafood nights, but set your expectations on middlin for the rest of the menu.
Wonderful meal and attentive staff made for an excellent time
We got there just before 11am and the games were just starting. Not to loud. Great place to catch all the games. Had my parents from out of town, they had a great time.
Hidden gem that spans the spectrum from burgers to Filet Mignon.
