My husband I I and our friends were very disappointed, we have t been here in years and I’m sorry to say the food was actually terrible and my friend and I had a salad with grilled salmon the salmon was not a good piece of fish and the salad was so basic and pretty tasteless. I for one never have to return which does sadden me because it’s a quaint old place. Ryland inn in Whitehorse puts the Tewksbury inn to shame and I only mention ryland because it’s an old beautiful estate and the food is amazing so save yourself from Tewksbury and go to ryland instead. Both expensive though so keep that in mind
Attentive service, pleasant atmosphere, good food. Always enjoy my dinners here. Highly recommended.
I’ve been many times but hadn’t been in a few years prior to Mother’s Day. The food was very average and expensive. We had 2 adults and 2 children under 12. We ordered no alcohol and spent over $200. The calamari was no better than what you would see at a TGI Friday’s or Houlihans. The leg of lamb was very good and was served a healthy portion. The salmon tartare was awful, loaded with mayonnaise or some kind of sauce and somewhat warm which gave it a rather terrible consistency. I would go back there only for the bar menu but not for the dinner menu, which was very limited.
We love the Tewksbury Inn. We are always greeted warmly. Food prep is on the mark every time. Service is very good and respectful. For Mother's Day we were seated upstairs which was a first for us. It is quieter and a little less hectic than on the lower level. Given the high seating volume we did not feel rushed at all. Thank you to the Tewksbury staff for making this a wonderful family event.
The food was excellent and the service was top notch! We had a wonderful Mother’s Day brunch.
Great space with so much character. Every dish was delicious and we left over-filled as we couldn't stop ordering more off the menu. Staff made you feel like you we're visiting with family. Excellent experience; would go back time and time again.
the town of Oldwick is very scenic and this restaurant is right in the middle of it. Great food for either lunch or dinner. The staff is always pleasant.
I love the Tewksbury Inn. It is a great place that is very warm and friendly.
I eat with friends at the Tewskbury Inn at least once a month. All of us are always pleased with the
food, very grateful for attentive waitstaff, and comfortable in the setting and surroundings. Occa-
sionally, a dish is not quite as good as anticipated--sometimes too dry, other times a bit soggy--but
those are rare occasions, certainly not enough to keep us away!
I had lunch at Tewksbury Inn with girlfriends whom I have known for a very long time. Because he had so much catching up to do, we stayed long after everyone else in the room had left. Our waiter was extremely attentive and very patient. Our food was delicious, the historic ambiance was delightful, and we will be returning there for another lunch next month.
We had a wonderful meal, I had lamb and my husband had filet mignon. Our server, a young man with dark brown hair, was delightful!!
$30 salmon. Healthy whiskey pour. Excellent service and ambiance.
Had a hard time attracting our servers attention, but apart from that it was great as always.
We love the atmosphere and staff, but they need to change up on there menu.....for us the menu is getting real stale.
Good food in a charming old building in the heart of a country village. Great dining room, as well as a tap room.
4th time and excellent as the other 3 times!!
As always, we had a wonderful time. It’s like going to see old friends. The food is always delicious and the staff is professional - accommodating and friendly. Roger met us at the door and is always so much fun. We got to see Eric - always a pleasure. My husband and I had a nice lunch. We’ve had many, many wonderful moments at Tewksbury Inn and plan on having many more. There was only 1 thing missing. Ashley was off - we were hoping to see her. Just love that girl! Thank you - see you all again soon!

Arrived for a late lunch on a Saturday. We were seated in the bar area. Room was quaint and rustic. Service was slow but waitress was very friendly and helped us with our choices. The cucumber gimlet was very refreshing. Started with appetizers, the Prince Edward Mussels in a garlic white wine sauce and calamari, along with French onion and mushroom soups. The mussels and calamari were out of this world very fresh and nice size portions. By the time the meals came we were stuffed. The skirt stake salad was cooked to perfection and was told the pulled pork and shrimp tempura sandwiches were very tasty. To full for dessert but the bread pudding was taken home for later. All in all lunch was a very pleasant and tasteful experience. I would definitely go back again.
Our sandwiches were tasty but at $9.00 desserts are pricey. The service was excellent. HOWEVER, the powder room off the bar is dirty and requires a new lock for securing the door and ensuring privacy. The hook is not adequate. I was surprised that an establishment with the reputation of the Tewksbury Inn would have such a grungy powder room
The Tewks never disappoints!
All our meals were excellent and the service was very good.
Roger & staff are so very welcoming! Always an amazing story to share and a wealth of wisdom.
Food and service was excellent!
Excellent food, friendly staff. Loved the entire evening.
It was a very long time since I’ve been there so I wanted to try it again for a friends birthday. The atmosphere was loud because we were seated in the bar area but we managed. As far as the meals, the onion soup was extremely salty and The chicken was very dry. However, the steak was delicious and the Desserts were very good. Our waiter was very nice and attentive.
Anniversary dinner. Absolutely everything thing was outstanding!
Thursday evening, ate in the dining room, only a couple of tables occupied, very nice. Food was great.
One of our favorite spots for lunch and dinner. The menu is always varied and delicious and the service is excellent. A great little spot for any occasion.
A nice stop on our way home after landing at EWR. Food has been great every time and we enjoy the old house setting!
Always excellent! Relaxing, like stepping out of time. The food is consistently top notch. We love the warmth of the bar for dining in the winter, and the porch in good weather.
Food was great- order got messed up but our server immediately corrected it and took off a wine charge to balance it out. I didn’t love our table in the back of the upstairs room but it’s a lovely place. We will be back
Table was too large for five people. That increased the annoyance of the high noise level from surrounding tables. Wait staff did not think to ask for drink orders while we waited for one more in our party. It was an effort to get his attention to do so. Even after ordering, it was a long time before the drinks came. My food (duck) was so-so - I didn't poll the others. This was a special gathering of people who get together every year or two. Hence I probably would not choose your restaurant again.
great great FOOD! AMBIANCE, ALTHOUGH .. our 8:15pm reservation, we were not seated until almost 9PM!! oddly busy everyone kept saying, but DELCIOUS and fabulous.
It’s a shame I could not give more than 5 stars.
What a terrific spot. Great bartender and bar crowd. The Manager’s were first rate, courteous and professional.
Maria, who took our orders and served us, was knowledgeable and friendly.
My wife and I both look forward to returning to the Tewksbury Inn.
We love this cozy place! Can’t wait to come back.
Wonderful food, wonderful drinks and excellent service. We had a great table by the window—-very comfortable. I had the pineapple hanger steak which was served with spinach and creamy mashed potatoes ( wonderful with NO skins ). My wife had the chicken which was perfectly cooked accompanied with spinach and mashed potatoes. Deserts were a banana cake and white chocolate bread pudding. We had an excellent night and will be back.
This is a lovely restaurant with a very nice menu. All of the food is expertly prepared. All 4 of us were very happy with our dishes, which ranged from the lobster appetizer, the scallop entree, and the baked rice pudding dessert. The wait staff couldn't have been more friendly. The restaurant was very busy, but it was still a beautiful meal.
