This is a very cozy restaurant with good food, and generous portions. The servers were also really nic.
Love this restaurant!!! The food is delicious and the service excellent. We were there for brunch and I decided to order the lobster tacos instead of eggs. They were crisp, flavorful and delicious. The egg dishes looked great. Highly recommended.
A true hidden gem! Everything we all had was absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared. Lots of interesting specials each time I go so even though there are some unusual delicacies, there’s always something for everyone.
I love that it is family friendly. I love that there are no TVs. I love how its almost entirely candlelit. AND the food is amazing! Truffle chicken and truffle ramen were incredible. thank you!
Great neighborhood restaurant that is well above average. Service is outstanding and exceedingly friendly. Food is tasty and nicely presented. The menu shows quite a few dishes from European areas (e.g. Austrian).
A truly spectacular dinner. The wait staff was warm, patient and informative. They went into depth regarding the items on the menu that we had questions about. They saw that my sister and I couldn’t choose between 2 desserts and when we ordered one, they brought both that we were looking at (comping the second one). Every dish we had was beautifully crafted, original and delicious. I cannot go on enough about how much we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. I can’t wait to go back!
We love Mountain Bird and have been back 4 or 5 times in the last year. Keiko is super organized and food id always unique fresh and exquisitely presented
Food was great as always. Every time we visit New York we try to make sure we have brunch here
Favorite restaurant in New York
Mountain Bird is a gem in the east harlem neighborhood. It had exquisite food and lovely service from knowledgable staff. I certainly would love to go back and try more dishes on the menu.
Great food and great service. Mountain Bird is a hidden gem. Make it a point to go there and eat a full meal plus desert. You won't be disappointed.
They get it RIGHT each and every time. We’ve had several amazing meals here - the combination of flavors, textures, etc is truly genius!
even though 3 out of 4 main dishes were wrong we ate them and liked them a lot, the owner was very gracious. Chicken wings was very good presented like lollipops, the chicken pate exquisite just a small portion. Stay away from French fries - nothing special. Can't wait to go back to try the dishes we did not sample.
This has become our very favorite restaurant. We enjoyed 4 dinners here in the last 3 weeks and look forward to our next visit very soon.
Wonderful staffs and great food. The lobster tacos are the best!
Best restaurant in NYC!! Scout’s honor!
Always an absolutely fabulous place for dinner. It's a highlight.
One of the loveliest dining experiences I have had in a very long time!
We celebrated my birthday there this past weekend and went back to celebrate my husband's birthday. The nice thing is every visit there is special!
have been coming here since it opened. every meal is delicious and made with care. service is wonderful and professional and warm. you will find me here almost once a week!
One of the best and most charming New York City places
Another great meal at Mountain Bird. Tonight we realized that in addition to the wonderful meal and excellent service, MB always had a fantastic playlist. We <3 MB.
Very enjoyable! Unique & delicious dishes. Would love to return.
Everything we had was incredible! Would definitely recommend!
Excellent French cuisine in the heart of east Harlem, which means, no crowds and friendly service.
Always a warm welcome at Mountain Bird! Delicious cocktails and an outstanding meal every time. Love it!
This is our go-to restaurant and this weekend it was perfect as usual.
Had a very pleasant dinner service was nice and relaxing food was very french and we loved it we will be back
Absolutely superb. Highlights are Bird Plate and Roast Duck, but it's all superb.
Since day one MountainBird has never disappointed. The warmest of welcomes, great choice, a delight to see Keiko and Ken, too many good things to choose - and the fig cake to finish...wow!!!
Better every visit. Can’t wait to try something new again next time. Always finish with the fig sticky toffee pudding
Fantastic meal, creative and a real deal for the level of food coming out of the kitchen. Love this place!
Staff was so nice; ambiance was so relaxing & the food (I got the Truffle chicken) was incredible. Definitely going back a few times soon.
we love this place. intimate. great food consistently. and their fig dessert is outstanding!
The food was amazing. The service not so great. My husbands drink was served and then he had to ask several minutes later where mine was. I ordered bottled carbonated water my husband ordered tap, the waitress 3 times poured my carbonated water into his glass. The food, while outstanding was brought out too quickly. We had barely finished our appetizers when the entree appeared. We ordered a dessert to share which never came out (nor were we billed,) I ordered a double espresso and received a single, my husband ordered black tea and the cup came out filled 3/4 and not hot. We had to send it back for her to put in microwave! Summary: I would go back on chances that it was an off night but my husband refuses.
This is one of the best restaurants in NYC. Chef Tajima and his wife Keiko are amazing and have a great restaurant. I am amazed every time at how creative and tasty everything this. Looking forward to my next experience.
It was one of the best French experiences I've ever had in NYC. The duck we had was so tender and juicy. The atmosphere was a good match for your dating or special occasion such as birthdays.
We consider this restaurant “our regular” though it’s anything but regular. This visit, my husband ordered pork knuckle. It was the last thing I would have thought I’d enjoy but it was crispy, tasty deliciousness. I look forward to our next meal at MB and hope pork knuckle is on the menu.
As always, a wonderful and tasteful experience!
I've been here at least twenty times. It's superb. It's run by a French trained chef and his wife and the care is there.
