Stone's Cove KitBar
Friday & Saturday: 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
Sunday: 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM
This place rocks! When Stone's Cove Kitbar opened I never really had a desire to go there even though it is really close to where I live. It just seemed like "not my kind of place" from the outside. What a mistake!
The food is awesome and so are the people. Everything I have tried from the menu has been excellent and I can be pretty picky. All my friends and family I have brought along agree. The best part is your server is your bartender is your cook and they are all very accomodating and personable. You cannot go wrong giving this place a try - great food in a fun and relaxed environment!
We had a great experience. Our server Al was fantastic, and it was half price wine night!! The food was tasty and satisfying. The crab lettuce wraps were my favorite.
Although I had a reservation, the only 2 places available was either right at the front entrance at the bar or a short table in the main pathway for workers to and from the back area. It was impossible to hold a conversation.
Took my wife for her birthday. A little weird sitting directly next to people you don't know, but great service and great food! We had the crab lettuce wraps as an appetizer -- just a different way to serve ceviche. My wife had the Macanac flatbread (she's a Michigander) -- it was really good! We will go again!
Very nice restaurant. The staff was very attentive and Richard (a manager) stopped by and spoke about the concept behind the restaurant. Overall, it was an excellent venue for "date night."
Meeting out of town family & decided to try something new. Was very impressed with the menu selections & service. They even made a special dish for my picky daughter. Will definitely go back!
Great food at a reasonable price. Varied menu n drinks. Scott an excellent waiter!
We visited during a happy hour. The shrimp & grits was nice as were the barbecue sliders. Would definitely recommend.
Great atmosphere. Unique layout with kitchen in center of the bar seating. Great way to be more interactive with your dining experience. Friendly staff. The crab lettuce wraps with the lime infused sugar topping was a delicious combination.
It was okay. its a giant bar, limited tables. The food wasn't bad, but it just needed something to make it excellent.
Might try the brunch.
Food was good. We have naked wings that were very tender and the Caesar salad was excellent. Sangrias were yummy.
My husband and I have been to Stone's Cove several times for dinner over the last year or so and really enjoyed it. We usually order several different items to share and like to sit at the bar where we can watch the food being prepared and chat with the servers and other diners. Based on our previous positive experiences, we decided to try their brunch yesterday for Father's Day but left feeling somewhat disappointed. There were only six choices on the menu, none of which seemed particularly appealing, and only a handful of customers which was surprising.
I ordered a mimosa and my husband had a bloody mary and both were very tasty and a bargain at only $5.00. I ordered the Americana and left about half of it and my husband ordered the spinach and salmon which he said was decent. So, we'll definitely go back at some point for dinner but will likely not return for their Sunday brunch.
Service is fantastic. Food is always good. Reasonably priced. I’m gluten-free and always able to find able options to choose from.
Breakfast entrees did not compare with the quality of the lunch entrees. Less than desirable for flavor and we had to wait on the 4th meal. Drinks were delayed, 3 different people waited on us but no one was on point with the delivery. Need to beef up the attention factor---especially since we were sitting on the rail and got passed at least 25 times without a look our way or offer to refill drinks or ask about the food preparation.
I love the shrimp and grits and that's why I came. I would not order any of the breakfast items that were delivered to our table again. Overpriced for the quality.
The food was wonderful but the restaurant was a bit noisy for my hard to hear guest. The service was great and we really enjoyed it but we'll come back when we are with a younger group.
The food was delicious. Our waiter did a good job. It is a bar and not really conducive for groups. I’m not a fan of the high top tables. We had 7 people in our group. We were a little tight. I would go back and recommend others
Everything was great as usual. The Shrimp & Grits is the best!
Excellent as usual. We usually come for dinner, but this was our 3rd brunch. It's nice to have all the items from the normal menu available as well as the brunch items. The Bloody Marys have a good kick, and the breakfast tacos are very good. The staff is always great, including Fire Man and Ice Man- quite a dynamic duo. In a nutshell, a fun place with great food.
Service was slow during this visit, not what we are usually used to but the food as always was excellent. Great overall experience
Disappointing! Food was salty and very mediocre.
The food and service was average, nothing special or above and beyond.
Always a good meal at Kitbar with outstanding service. The crab cakes are the way they are supposed to be, 99% crab with a little binder. The hot & cold dip is very good. Brunch mimosas and Bellinis are always a good start to the day.
Had a great meal - shrimp and grits fab. Shrimp grilled to perfection and grits a little spicy
And cheesy - perfect balance. Also had hanger steak and roasted vegetables - steak well seasoned with nice seat and veg crispy with a hint of garlic butter. Cocktails were a true highlight - sat night had featured cocktails for only $7. Indulged and tried cucumber and basil martini - yes please - light and refreshing and perfectly blended. Then moved on the elderflower martini and thought I was in heaven! Slightly sweet yet subtle and ice cold - I am still talking about it. Service was also warm and personable and loved the business model and open concept. Who knew all this fun would be in Herndon- we are fans and will return soon. 🙏🏻
I didn't get what the fuss was about. The staff was friendly, but it felt rather like a schtick. Everyone was running around and sweating and working really hard and it was rather exhausting to watch. The food was really good, but the atmosphere was loud and not relaxing. I don't think I will go back.
Great eats! The flatbread was absolutely fantastic with super fresh ingredients. Loved sitting at the bar and watching the crew do their work....and they do it VERY well. Thanks for a great experience.
Great service w unique menu at very affordable prices. A gem!!
Outstanding service and the food was delicious. Very creative menu.
Amazing food, interesting atmosphere. Loved the food and service was very good!!
Lively and interactive restaurant.
The food and beer selection are good, though it can be difficult to wave down a server when it’s crowded during the dinner period
Our go-to restaurant!!
I go to Stone Cove often. Not only do they have great food, they also have a car charger out front. This is a top notch restaurant without the elitist vibe. Very down-to-earth.
Great food, friendly staff
This is a favorite restaurant, I love the atmosphere and unique style. First time we have gone for brunch, but it did not disappoint. Great drinks and brunch food. I highly recommend. We got 3 plates to share which was perfect.
Really went out of their way to make sure that our reservation was held.
Always good never disappointed - go regularly so some menu variation would be good.
Great service by Whitney and the others..the salmon Was freshly cut and looked to perfection!
We found this spot because they are supporting our daughter's high school marching band - so happy to have tried it! The folks there are very friendly and the food is great! Top it off that they are helping out the high school band for their "Do Good Sundays" giving back to the community (High School is fundraising for upcoming performance in Normandy France 75th D-Day celebration) - it's truly "win Win"! So, so nice of them to be helping out, and such good food and service!
Found it hard to believe a restaurant in this day and age has no booster seats or high chairs. Pretty disappointing.
New concept. Seats are all around the open kitchen. Noisy but fun environment. Service was great. Servers seemed more ‘seasoned’ (experienced) than other, similar restaurants. Recommended.
