Poke nachos were delicious, beer was delicious although I wish they had slightly simpler beers. I love their space, besides the jets overhead and perfect outdoor spaced apart dining for COVID concerns with lots of heaters.

First time was a lot better than our first visit...I think we should be “allowed” to decide what the tip should be. An automatic 20% tip was automatically added to the bill with the only option was to change to 18%. Granted, I usually leave at least 20%, however, the only thing the waitstaff did was bring our food and drinks...you order on line and pay online...pretty good gig if you work there. I understand it’s Covid times but let me decide how much tip I should give!

When dining at Stone - Liberty Station you now have to download an app to place your order and pay because everything is supposed to be "Contactless". This means someone at your table is on their phone for at least the first 15 minutes after being seated which interferes with having a stress free dining experience. All of our drinks, appetizers and entrees' came out at the same time. The service was very impersonal and slow. We had to order more water from the app and then ask 3 people just to get more water brought to our table.
When I made the reservation with OpenTable, I added notes that we were dining out for my husband's birthday. But since we had no server, no one mentioned it or cared.
Our food was good. We have dinned at this restaurant many times pre-covid and had a great experience with service and food. Because of the new ordering system and poor service I cannot recommend this location. Hopefully the changes Stone has made are not permanent and we can try going back in a year or two.

It was not an enjoyable experience. I understand looking at the menu online, but we had to order online as well. Even for napkins and water. It was frustrating. The food wasn’t very good and coffee was lukewarm. Good luck finding anyone to complain to. It was stressful not having anyone come back to see if everything was ok, or clear off some plates, glasses. I use to like it there. DONE

Lovely ambience, great food. The servers were all friendly and attended to your needs so the 3 stars is not a reflection on the runners people skills. The 3 stars are for smartphone app ordering and delivery. It was really strange, and I personally was not a fan . Different people came to your table instead of having a server. You had to figure out a paper menu, an online menu, and pay, tip, and order your to go box ahead of eating your meal. Felt kind of like a drive through.

I've taken my family (usually a party of 10 or so) to Stone a few times before, and it's been a good dining experience. However, during this past visit, literally not a single person came to check on our table in the hour and a half that we were there. When we were seated, the hostess made no mention of the app that we'd all need to start a "tab" and order through, which led to a ton of confusion at the table, as three more tech-familiar people at the table had to help the older family members order who were less savvy. Even after cumbersome process, the food was brought out at various times, and those who wanted to wait until everyone got their food before eating basically had cold dishes before the everyone got served. No staff stopped by to even offer more water. This was a very poor experience and we will not be coming back.

We had a wonderful experience at Stone Brewing World Bistro and Gardens. The outdoor ambiance was perfect, the service was excellent, and of course, the cocktails and food were awesome. It was the perfect place to spend a beautiful San Diego evening. KUDOS to the staff at Stone Brewing World Bistro and Gardens!

I asked for water, utensils and napkins multiple times through the app and they never came. We had to tell different waiters, some came through, some didn’t.

This is the first restaurant where I had to scan the barcode, order from my phone and pay and tip before the food arrived. The waitress only came to drop off our food then she was a ghost! We needed more water and drinks and had to flag a different person down each time. Eating out shouldn't be this cumbersome! I understand there are rules and regulations due to covid, but there needs to be a little more interaction.

I do love the water feature, little waterfalls and especially my favorite, the koi fish!! They make me happy.

My first time there and it was a great experience... couldn’t give 5 stars to service since Covid everything is self order they just bring it to you so didn’t have a lot of interaction with staff. Other than that everything was great!!!

Food was good and service was great. Only complain would have to be that with the whole ordering online vs with a waiter....online it took an average of 15 minutes to get your next drink, so you pretty much have to order your next beer when you’re halfway done with one or you will be sitting there thirsty for a few. Also requested ketchup and other condiments online and it never came...not sure if online only works with main dishes and condiments are supposed to be ordered from a human. Either way we had a great time but do think those little issues can be worked on.

Nice relaxed afternoon with friends. Excellent selection of beer of great quality served in clean capped glasses. Nice ambience with the outside beer garden and occasional jet flyover. Happy patrons with good social distancing protocol and good restroom & wash facilities. Well worth the trip.

Sadly the menu is very limited and my chicken salad was a huge disappointment. I'm ok with with limited menu choices as long as the food is good. It wasn't.

Nice little get away especially during the Covid pandemic. Ordering everything off your phone is a breeze. Food and drinks come within 5-10 minutes of ordering.

Great spacing between tables. Clean. Quiet. Great menu. Didn't like the ordering system. Too hard to figure out how to combine tabs to one open tab so my family members had to pay their own tabs which was not what I wanted or expected. No help from the wait staff. If I'm doing all the work (ordering, paying, etc.), why am I paying 20% tip for someone to simply deliver food.

The venue was beautiful, outside and perfectly spaced for comfortable distancing. Our main server, Faith was so helpful and picked out just the right beer for my taste. Service was just the right amount of helpful but unobtrusive so I could enjoy my date night.
Thanks for a lovely evening. I will be back.

Beer was pretty good (in general Stone beer is very good, just the beers we chose this time were pretty good). The food was pretty terrible. One entre was good (brisket sandwich), but the rest (Asian pasta, burger, fish) were blah. Appetizers (pretzel, brussel sprouts, ahi nachos) were better, but not anything amazing. Their courtyard is beautiful and the kids liked the coy pond, etc. Service during covid is tough because they don't check on you, only deliver food purchased on phone thru QR code.

The ordering system is horrible we had double orders and orders that came a completely different times!! It’s so stressful ordering especially if you have older folks!! Not worth the stress until they have actual servers taking orders!!

I understand the need for QR menus.. but this set up was horrible. Family of 5, someone sat us and made sure I was able to open the menu. Took 20 minutes for me to place drink, appetizer and entree orders for all members of my family as they all dont have smart phones. Then another 20-30 minutes for drinks to finally arrive by one person and then eventually all of our food came at once by a different person. Not one service member greeted us like they were actually accountable for our table and service. No one came back and asked how our food was, which was average at best and my husbands meal was overcooked. Then when time to cash out on my phone which they already had my credit card, they wanted a minimum of an 18% tip. Who is the tip going to? No one gave us service. People may have delivered our meals... that we ordered.. but there was no service. We will not be returning or recommending.

Stone is doing an excellent job of social distancing in its beautiful outdoor setting. We were fortunate to have a big table right by the waterfall. We enjoyed the flights of beer along with a delicious, huge soft pretzel. I enjoyed the hamburger and it made for a lovely day.
