Stanley's Bar & Grill
My girlfriend’s 30th Birthday
Delicious food and attentive and friendly staff. We were made to feel very welcome but also left to relax and enjoy our food. We never felt rushed. As three of us are vegetarian it was so unusual to have such a variety of sandwiches. Highly recommended.
Afternoon tea was excellent but a bit expensive
My wife and I stayed at the Titanic four years ago and ate in the restaurant on that occasion too. This time, we were less impressed. We shared some croquettes which were quite nice and came with a relish, so a good start.
My wife's, lamb main course was amazing, but my burger left a lot to be desired. The meat was dry and lacking flavour and the chips were mainly small chippings, which I don't care for. Much preferring the chunkier ones with fluffy centres and crisp on the outside.
The ambience was lacking as well. Tables lack privacy and comfort. Little care and attention seems to have been given to the layout.
The service was reasonable, but as this was our 30th Wedding anniversary, it wasn't enough to give us the wow factor we had enjoyed on our first visit.
Couldn’t have been better! Loved the relaxed feel and the food was delicious. The staff were very attentive and were very helpful. Both the food and drinks were amazing and the price was very good for the quality. Will definitely be returning.
Loved the whole ambiance of the restaurant. Excellent service from all staff and our very helpful waiter. Very nice meal too.
I had booked a meal for my wedding anniversary I made the restaurant aware that it was a surprise booking and at no point was this acknowledged by any member of staff on the day , the food was ok but not great ! the chef wasn’t happy at all when we advised that the salmon starter was massively over cooked and resembled a piece of rubber he just said quiet rudely to the waitress “well that’s the way it is served”
Service was excellent.
The building is unique.
A great place to visit for a special occasion.
Friendly staff and quick service only bad thing was we had booked a set mean with our room we both had steak which was very poor! No taste and full of gristle. No reflection on the staff who were all very friendly.
Great location, view, food and service in particular! Would love to visit again soon.
The menu is fairly small and prices pretty steep but the food is superb. The restaurant is lovely with a historical, lock side , warehouse setting and great music played at just the right volume (not too loud). If the waiters were just a little less temperaments it would be perfect.
Staff friendly food good ...would like to comeback
Staff and service were amazing would highly recommend to others.
Great food/wine with excellent service. Would highly recommend.
There was a lot of tables on the terrace and in the restaurant that hadn’t been cleared away.
The cut of steak seem to be a poor quality.
The whole menu was very expensive for the quality.
On arriving at the hotel we were greeted by a noxious smell. At the desk we were not properly greeted. We had a wait a long time for a drink. The salad we ordered was presented without any dressing. The dining room looks out onto a derelict building.
Really enjoyed our visit, food was lovely and service was swift. Staff were polite and friendly. Drinks were also lovely and they offered a good selection.
Really lovely time, we will definitely come again. Food was perfect and well presented, staff really helpful and attentive.
Awesome and welcoming loved it. From first entering to leaving we were treated well and food was outstanding decor beautiful
Excellent friendly service and very good food. Nice view of the dock from our table at the window.
Recommended by friend and was looking forward to our visit Disappointed with very slow service - 20 minutes after being seated before being offered a drink
We had to call a waiter to order meal - no one approached table. Main course sea bass salad was very good - steak acceptable - offered menu for dessert but never given had to ask waiter again for menu. The only quick service was the bill coming. Not really value for money - we have visited many better restaurants in central Liverpool
As a flagship hotel for our city this was poor service - appeared perhaps short staffed on a Monday when we visited but not really an excuse especially for price.
My sins graduation
Outstanding food and service. Exceptional scenery really set the mood.
Came for afternoon tea with a friend to celebrate a birthday. Unfortunately Stanley’s was closed due to a function but we were advised the day before. We were seated in the main bar area and couldn’t have been more satisfied. The food and service were exceptional. Staff were friendly and attentive. We will definitely be visiting again.
Never stayed over, we just love there breakfast so called in on are way to Liverpool one. But yes I would definitely recommend
Love what they have done with the old warehouse, staff were very friendly and attentive without intruding. The food was tasty and well presented. The drinks menu extensive and priced to meet every pocket. A special occasion- probably wouldn’t choose to eat there frequently.
My experience throughout the day was very very good and I would come back again and recommend the titanic and the Stanley bar to my family and friends, the staff were excellent and very helpful, the only criticism I have with the afternoon tea was that the sandwiches were a bit dry on one side ( like they've been out a bit) but I would do it alll again. Well done and cheers 🍻
The staff at Stanley's Bar & Grill were very attentive and did not struggle to cope with all my allergies. Joined up communication meant that every server and the chef knew what I could not eat. The chef was happy to substitute ingredients - not something I often find in restaurants. The meal itself was very good. The lamb was very tender and delicious. The bar was busy but we didn't have to wait very long for our food. I would definitely return the next time I visit Liverpool and would recommend to anyone with allergies.
Food was excellent staff were very attentive and great little touches for my husbands birthday
We had afternoon tea and thoroughly enjoyed everything about the place, service, food etc. Would definitely recommend and will be going back!
I loved the view of the water from the restaurant. The food was all delicious...not cheap but I had three courses and they were all scrummy. I would recommend it to someone for a special occasion.
We discovered the delights of rum here, but how on earth do you pick from around 80 varieties? One of the staff, Ryan, noticed our dilemma and recommended one that was wonderful. The service he gave us was no less than outstanding. We’ve stayed in numerous hotels but none with such friendly, caring staff. Pleased they had a vegan menu.
Wonderful service. Good food. Steaks cook a little under so if you like medium rare then get medium. Nice sauces & perfectly cooked onion rings, lovely & crispy.
The venue is devine. Beautiful setting to relax and enjoy Afternoon tea.
We had 2 wheelchair users in our party and chairs were moved promptly to fit them in.
The only issue was Disabled toilet door quite heavy which makes manoeuvring with a wheelchair difficult, and there appears to be only 2 disabled car spaces.
Stanley’s bar and Grill in the Titanic hotel is wonderful the food is superb , with a very varied choice of menu and great selection of gluten free dishes. I would highly recommend whether you are staying as a guest of the hotel or as a dining venue whilst in Liverpool.
Beautiful setting, we stayed in the hotel for the night and the whole experience was wonderful. Highly recommend! Food really good quality and served by pleasant helpful staff.
The food was just not good enough for the price. The building, decor & service were great but my steak was very average. Pretty tough and gristly. Also petty on charges considering high cost of the dishes. I run out of the peppercorn sauce I paid for to go with my steak. I asked for a bit more to finish my meal and was told they would have to charge me another £3.50.
It’s a shame, but we will not be going back there.
Good choice of food, beautifully presented and very tasty.
We were very disappointed with the starters and mains but the desserts were lovely. Not sure I would eat here again but lovely venue for a drink.
We stayed at the Titanic for a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast package. To be honest we didn’t expect dinner to have outstanding choice, quality or taste but how wrong were we!!! The menu was choices were fabulous, the variety was terrific and the taste was outstanding. I highly recommend the Waldorf Salad as a starter. In the package deal we got a free glass of wine with our meal which was good but we also had a bottle from their excessive range; very lush indeed. The waitress was very attentive but not instructive; personable but not nosey!
We will definitely stay here again, no hesitation. Clean, quirky, atmospheric, an abundance of hard working staff, all overlooking the dockside!
