Extremely rude! Service was very slow - took at least 45 minutes to get our food. Other folks were served before us who were seated after us. We were chatting after paying for the meal and the manager told us they needed the table. Really annoying given how long we waited to be served. We obliged but noted that a party at the same size table was still sitting there even though they had arrived well before us. We pointed this out to the manger and she was unapologetic.
It was a nice setting and the food was very good though there was a wait for the food to arrive. They do not have a liquor license. So brunch did not have Bloody Mary drinks except one made with beer.
Super service.
I REALLY wanted to like this place as soon as I walked in the Secret Garden, it was a hidden gem! However, after being greeted by a terrible unhappy waitress who was so miserable to be there, it completely ruined our Easter Brunch experience. We switched our waitress and things were going good... until we got our bill and the gratuity at 30% was included for a party of 4 and my toddler. When I asked our waiter about it , letting him know I didn’t see it indicated in the menu that a party of 4 or more the gratuity in included. His response was “ it’s on holidays like today, Easter, and it’s for parties of 4 with a kid”. I wasn’t born yesterday and have been dining enough to know this was done on purpose... when I walked to speak to a manager he said the manager was busy? When I asked for the business card of the manager , a woman who said she was the manager finally came out, without apologizing, said she will let the manager know my concerns. Too bad small business who can be even greater hire staff who don’t care and lose customers.
Great brunch and really cool atmosphere! One of my favorite brunch spots before heading to the wineries.
First time visit for our family of three. Everything was delicious! Nice brunch menu. We'll definitely return!
The food was good and promptly delivered. Seating upstairs was better as it avoided the noise of the street level. We were a little nonplussed as the person who received us did not seem to know of an Open Table reservation.
Great, friendly service in restaurant with great vibe and good food.
First rate!
My baby daughter and I met a friend here for brunch, it was my first time. I really enjoyed it! the food was great and the restaurant is very cool! Can't wait to go back and check out the garden area :)
I went for brunch and it was delicious. I started with a sausage and gravy biscuit and had Florentine eggs benedict for my meal. We sat on the main floor which only had a few tables, but very cute. I understand there was another seating area, but I didn't see it. I highly recommend this restaurant. I live about 45 miles from Leesburg and I will definitely come back for brunch and then shop around downtown.
As always, Shoe’s provides a great place for a casual girls brunch. The food is always amazing.
The tables are tightly packed, so be prepared to be familiar with your neighbors.
We had our Valentine's Day dinner at Shoes Cup and Cork and enjoyed everything.
Brunch for a birthday celebration couldn’t have been nicer! The food and drinks were delicious, the service excellent, and the special touches were much appreciated. Thanks!
They weren’t actually opened at the time it allowed us to make a reservation. We were able to book a table for New Year’s Eve and when I called to adjust the number of people I was informed they closed at 5pm. Our reservation was at 6pm. We were forced to find another restaurant on New Year’s Eve with no reservations. All they said was sorry about that. It was a very frustrating evening but luckily another restaurant downtown squeezed us in (where we will be lifelong patrons). We were still late for our concert because of the wait from not having a reservation. Very angry that this occurred. Totally avoidable.
And a half star. Their menu is parvus sed potens, small but powerful. Rather than overwhelm you, they soothe you with a brilliant selection that tickles the pallette...we had the biscuits, almost 5 stars alone, eggs neptune... Benedict's salmon kin, and the country scramble, fresher than getting it from the farm itself. All of it prepared with aplomb and served quickly. What we experienced was a completely satisfying experience, from ambience to service with zero hiccups. Top it off with apple pie a la homemade, wow that's good, mode and bam! This was a delectable, simple meal with service that exceeded our high expectations. Shoes, tell Abby she's the best. Everybody else, enjoy the atmosphere, food and games.
Had heard good things about the Shoe's Cup and Cork, and wanted to try it ourselves. Was part of a group of 7...seated us immediately upstairs where the ambiance was great, as was the service and the food. Will definitely go again.
We were seated upstairs in the poker room. The setting was unique and great for brunch. Server was attentive as she could be... we got the sense she was also working tables downstairs which made it difficult for her to take drink or food orders in a timely manner; we also need to go find her to get our check. Food was delivered fast. No kid-specific options. My dad said his Eggs Benedict were good, but the eggs themselves were cold suggesting that they were poached and chilled earlier in the morning.
Great service from a wonderful server, food was almost as good but the atmosphere and location made up for that :)
A real treat. Excellent food, coffee and service. Ambiance is quaint for a coffee shop but busy for a restaurant.
Always love going to Cup and Cork. Food was excellent. The service was a bit slow but we just sat and enjoyed
Read reviews before coming to find out that the service was poor. i went anyway due to the ratings on the food. The food is exceptional but ONLY if you could handle the service. I was there with 2 gfriends celebrating a birthday breakfast. Never once was I offered to place my order, refill coffee, given a menu, etc. But I did have to chase the wait staff down and get my own menu, milk, etc. The service SUCKS. There is no other way to put it. All of us women are in the industry and would have gladly given a 50% tip to the server--however, we were appauled by how lousy the young person was. I LEFT 20% on an already overpriced meal. will not recommend and definitely will not be back
Great food and service. We had a little guy in our party with a nut allergy and the staff was very accommodating to his neeeds. We sat outside and it was perfect.
Menu changed. Mostly sandwiches for dinner now, but service was good.
We sat outside and the service was great! The ambiance is awesome too.
Delightful place with great staff! Our food was nicely prepared with very fresh ingredients.
Birthday lunch celebration with a friend, thoroughly enjoyed every aspect, from the cool secret Garden and ambience of its outdoor seating, to the great service and wonderful food… They even offered us a dessert on the house to celebrate our birthdays. Will definitely be back!!! Love!!
The perfect perch from which to watch the July 4th parade- Thanks!
Character-filled, historic building in downtown Leesburg. We had brunch in the Poker Room upstairs, though I'd love to come back and experience the patio and bocce court on a cooler day.
My whole family was together for the first time in years and we met at Shoe's to have a farewell breakfast for my brother and his wife. We did not make any special requests other than no cheese for my lactose intolerant sister-in-law, no onions on one bagel platter, and no capers on the other bagel platter. The waitress seemed to be having a bad day and she was surly from the beginning of our seating until the check came. She rolled her eyes, shook her head, sighed, and showed great impatience when we asked what would replace the potatoes since the potato fryer was broken. My brother asked if he could have fruit if there were no potatoes. Her response, "The chef will take care of making the decision of what will replace the potatoes." REALLY???? That's how you respond? My sister ordered one kind of cereal which just happend not to be up the chef's standards, so the waitress offered another kind. My sister asked to see the ingredients in the new cereal since her son has certain food intolerances. One might have thought she asked for the waitress for grow the grains, harvest, and prepare a new kind of cereal with the reaction of the waitress. Other than the waitress's behavior, the food was good, the atmosphere was amazing, the morning was delightful, and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
The restaurant has a great feel and the location is good. The food we ordered is another issue my father ordered eggs benedict to which the bottom of the muffins were burnt black and the eggs probably had a tablespoon of hollandaise sauce dribbled on top. When this was brought to the attention of our waitress she brought a new muffin on a plate. Most of the good resteraunts I have been to would have taken the plate away and brought back a proper food order. My food was warm at best.
We were seated in the Poker Room filled with wonderful antiques. The service was great. We loved our brunch of brussel sprouts, eggs Benedict and an omelet.
Loved the place! Slightly overpriced. Staff was amazing.
The server was unattentive and very slow..
Lovely location in a courtyard just off King Street. Limited menu, but what they had was good. Definitely skewed to casual and fun dining.
Thank you for the great service! Shoes Cup and Cork is one of my wife's favorite spots for brunch with friends and now the upstairs is one of my favorite spots for date night!
We had a great time and enjoyed our meal. The ambiance was like a trip back in time to the 1930's, or like being on a movie set. It was tiny, but had lots of character and a collection of cool antique phones cameras tvs and radios. They even had a gramophone. It was cool. We will definitely go back for dinner.
Nice garden setting that would be better for lunch or happy hour. Somewhat limited menu.
Very good again but we were a bit disappointed by the changed menu. There were no steaks or fried chicken this time. We enjoyed our food but felt the limited options took away a little bit of the enjoyment this time.
Easter brunch food was just ok and very over priced for what you get. Good atmosphere have enjoyed outdoor garden dining for lunch.
