The whole expertise was good, but a little disappointed in the food. I wish it had more pronounced flavor. We got short rib and haddock and welp, that’s exactly what it tasted like. I was hoping for something more exciting and unique flavor wise. But anll around a nice dinner. The service was wonderful.

The hostess was very accommodating in placing us in a room by ourselves as there were 7 of us including a 2 year old. It was nice to not have to worry about our littlest patron being a little loud when she got excited for her dinner to arrive. We had a kind, friendly, attentive and prompt waitress who made us feel welcome as I'd we were friends! The food was absolutely delicious!

As always, the food , service, and ambiance of this place were a relaxing and enjoyable experience. My husband and I came for our a anniversary and it did not disappoint.

Highly recommend coming here. The food was excellent, all five courses! Eli, our waiter, was attentive and personable. We had a wonderful dinner and we will definitely be back!!

We look forward to going to Sedgleys every year for our anniversary. We missed the free champagne toast that they used to provide but enjoyed our meal so very much. It's an expensive night for us and wish we could afford to go more often than just our yearly visit, but it's always a special evening!!

A restored and well-maintained historic building in the country provides a great location for a special celebration. Dinner is a five course meal with multiple choices for each course. I found some of the courses’ food to be nothing out of the ordinary, however, the main course I chose - bacon-wrapped filet mignon - was excellent. The filet and a delicious blueberry vodka infused lemonade were definitely the highlights of the dining experience and would make me consider going back.

During the day our reservation was changed from 7:30 to 7:00. No big deal but we were wondering why. We soon found out. We were seated promptly and our server was very attentive. We ordered our meal and everything was served as ordered and the food was absolutely delicious. We have no issue with the food or service. What happened during our meal was the remaining patrons in the dining room left and it was just my wife and I. During our dinner, the staff started to break down the tables and prepare for breakfast. The atmosphere now became quite distracting. We thought it was rude to do this while we sere still eating. We felt rushed. The reservation was made earlier because no body came in after us and I'm guessing they wanted to make it tight and not have us lingering late. I wish we were told that when the reservation was changed. Should we go back, we will not do a reservation for 7:00 again. We would make it for 5:00 so that we wouldn't be subject to the staff breaking down tables in front of us again. Again- both food and service was excellent.

Delicious dinner and great experience! A wonderful place to go before seeing a play at Theater at Monmouth!
