Dining room was very loud, service was fair, but nothing special about this place. I would not recommend for a special occasion.
Great food! The servers are true professional servers, not the typical tattoo'd-20-something slackers that you usually get at a restaurant. This restaurant takes pride in their food and service.
The restaurant is adorable and has a great ambience. The host was very friendly and allowed us to change seats even after we had been seated.
We ended up sitting upstairs which was a bit warm but had better views. They have an adorable patio upstairs as well. A gentleman serenaded us with his violin which was at times, a little bit loud. Because of the proximity of the tables, the music was sometimes on top of us. We thought the food was good although I would have preferred them to use in-season tomatoes. The tomatoes that were on my plate were reminiscent of winter tomatoes, tasteless and pulpy. I was very surprised by this. Middle of the summer-(?)
The tortellini carbonara was really excellent. The best meal of the night. The bread that preceded the meal was also fabulous. Good to great experience. Good servers.
Food, wine, and service were outstanding. One of our favorite restaurants in D.C.
Best ravioli EVER!! Food was outstanding. Can’t wait to go back!!
Dinner here last night was excellent. The venue was quaint and upscale inside, service was attentive and polished. Pasta dishes were very good
The food is always wonderful but the warm welcome by the staff was exceptional. The entire evening was perfect!!!
We had dinner reservations for Sunday evening and had am amazing dinner. The service was spectacular and the food perfect. We will definitely return when we visit DC again.
Food was great. Nice wine list. Classic Italian at a very affordable price. I would recommend it.
Darling, quaint restaurant. Great location, food, and service!
We ventured to Ristorante Piccolo for dinner last Saturday night. The place was bustling and the food, fantastic. The service was more than adequate for such a busy night. The room was a bit noisy, most likely due to people being able to go out and enjoy the company of friends. We started with the eggplant appetizer and the grilled polenta with mushroom ragu. Both were excellent. Entrees were Salmon, Veal and pasta, all of which were terrific. We skipped desert as the room was a bit noisy for us to hold a conversation.
They had a violin player roam the restaurant, but the effect was unfortunately lost, due to the crowd.
We had a wonderful time . The food was delicious and our waiter was very kind and helpful.
Our table was ready upon our arrival [ several minutes late due to Friday rush hour traffic in DC ] and we were seated indoors on the upper floor, beside a window that looked out onto the restaurant's balcony and over the neighboring Georgetown rooftops. Our party of three was a bit cramped - sitting at a table that would better suit a couple. We quickly forgot about that issue as we sampled our food choices! Every course was absolutely delicious - flavorful calamari, veal, lasagna, steak, chocolate cake and cheesecake! The server's pace did not make us feel rushed - nor did we feel like we were being overlooked. Our glasses were kept full during our meal. A violinist serenaded diners as we all enjoyed our meals. A very nice touch in the era of piped in satellite radio. Be prepared - this fine dining experience is quite pricey, but well worth the cost! The manager spoke with us as we made our way outside after dinner and we told him that we would definitely be back again.
Service was outstanding - ambience was perfect as we sat out in the balcony- Antonio the owner was a true gentlemen- Food was authentic from the Polenta - to the Veal and Pasta- topped off the evening with Dolci and Vin Santo…
An inviting atmosphere with wonderful food and drinks. Ownership and staff make you feel like family.
The food was delicious. Staff was busy but very professional. We had a lovely evening, thank you!
We love ristorante Piccolo - we rediscovered it a few months ago and have become regulars! It is far better than all the other DC Italian restaurants - the food, the service, and especially the value. We highly recommend it!
This is a fabulous restaurant!! Everything was delicious. The ravioli is a must! The lobster risotto was amazing!!! Everyone had to try it. Moan worthy!! Order the specials! This place is special. A must. Ask for wine recommendations and you can’t go wrong. Go here. Make sure this place fully recovers from the pandemic!!! All the desserts are amazing. We each had a different one, but if you only have one to pick, pick the tiramisu or the chocolate cake both must haves. I personally love lemon and the lemon desert was light and perfect. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
The Agnolotti is possibly the best pasta dish I have ever had at an Italian restaurant.
Good food, great ambience, server was overwhelmed
Went for lunch. Visibly and explicitly short-staffed. Reserved outdoor seating and was not granted it. An overall rushed experience with inadequately small portion sizes that left us hungry…for lunch.
Wide selection of familiar Italian specialties. Good wine list and house wine is a great bargain for wine by the glass. Nice for outdoor dining as well as larger groups inside. Bathrooms are upstairs. Staff friendly, attentive, and know their menu. Not far to walk to waterfront in Georgetown.
I love this restaurant! It’s my favorite restaurant to frequent in Georgetown. The service is incredible, the food is delectable, and the live violinist is the cherry on top! Will be visiting again soon.
The food was good and we were satisfied with our drinks & service but there wasn’t anything spectacular about it that made it stand out from all of the other Italian restaurants in Georgetown. Would have been happy with the meal except the prices were very high for the level of food. Probably won’t go back given there are so many other delicious Italian options in the area.
Lovely dinner, gluten free pasta was well prepared. The house ravioli as an appetizer was delish and the pasta al dente. The only issue was some of the water glasses were dirty.
Excellent food and great service! Will definitely be dining here again soon :)
Always a favorite for us. Pretty busy Sunday compared to past outings. I think it must have kept staff a bit hopping and slower than usual. But things were still top notch.
Worst value for food in our trip to DC. We will never recommend and never return.
So good. Loved the food and ambiance. Would go again
My husband ➕ I visited Ristorante Piccolo last night for our seventh wedding anniversary. We were greeted with a warm smile ➕ seated right away. Our server, Ylli was very attentive and had a charming demeanor. The food was outstanding! I ordered the Ravioli Aragosta and my husband ordered the Ravioli Verde ➕ we split an order of Calamari for an appetizer. Came our relatively quickly! And being as how it was our anniversary we got a complimentary slice of Tiramisu to take home with us to celebrate the momentous occasion. Will definitely return in the future!
It was a great night out with delicious food. We sat on the balcony and had a wonderful time
I made a reservation and got there slightly early in case there was a balcony seat open and boy did I get lucky. It was our one year anni and we had such a great time here. The food was amazing, please get the veal or the ravioli, so much flavor with the truffle.
Perfect service! Tasty food! Make you feel like in Italy❤️ especially kid’s menu is very nice😋
Quick and attentive service…..good food and cocktails.
The service was good, the place is nice, but the food was really mediocre unfortunately. The back of the restaurant is also incredibly loud.
My husband and I celebrated our first anniversary there. What a special place this is. The staff are warm, friendly and attentive and the food is top notch. As if that wasn't enough there was a gentleman playing the violin during dinner. If we are ever back in DC we will definitely be going back to Ristorante Piccolo.
I have been to this restaurant 3 times before and I thought it was great. Today, the service was just terrible. Waiters were in a bad mood, throwing us the food. I don’t know if I will ever come back. What a pity.
The manager made our experience very nice. Thank you!
