We have now been 4 to new and it's been fantastic every time. Never disappoints!!!!
Nice restaurant, good service, good food, but not what we expected.
Todo estuvo excelente! Desde la atención hasta el postre. La vista a la laguna, súper bonita! Y el cocodrilo de visita :D
La comida deliciosa, buena relación costo/cantidad/calidad. Seguro vuelvo.
Nos encantó el lugar y el servicio.
Muy buena comida, el servicio estuvo excepcional. Definitivamente recomendado
The location service and food were excellent. Highly recommend it
Food, service and view from table was spectacular! It was as our Anniversary and they brought out a little sign for our table and I know it seems like not much but it meant they care about the little things.
The alligator was fun to see while there too!
Muy Rico Todo .
Excelente Servicio del Mesero Pedro
We both had pasta dishes. I ordered fettuccine Alfredo which i never order, but what’s vacation for if you don’t indulge. It was really good. My husband had the pasta with fish in it. He enjoyed it. The problem here is when you come from An Italian family in Chicago you want good bread. They make something they serve in the beginning which was weird so I ordered the garlic bread which had a very strange consistency. It’s all about the bread in an Italian restaurant. It’s missing the mark.
Food was good, service was good. There's something about this restaurant that prevents me from giving it 5 stars. I think it's in the details. It is not at the same level of other restaurants. Mind you, they face tough competition as there are many excellent restaurants in Cancun. My wife had ravioli and she said they were good. I had lobster (which you pick one live) and it was also good. Neither was excellent. Location is beautiful, on the lagoon. I would come back but only after I exhausted other options.
Went with a family of 7. They handled it well. Most importantly the food was very good. Get the chocolate lava cake for desert. Sadly we did not get to catch a croc swim by.
Great atmosphere on lagoon. Piano playing. Very good food would recommend and go again
Amazing food, ambiance and location on the water
Great restaurant for family and friends. Menu was amazing. Atmosphere was unbelievable. Would highly recommend it if you are in the Cancun area
Very nice but no more table side coffee drinks. 😧
Vacation time with family
We stayed at an all-inclusive resort in Cancun, but wanted to go "off-campus" for dinner one night. I used the Open Table app to find Limoncello. We enjoyed the food (traditional Italian), the service (efficient and friendly), and the setting (outdoors, overlooking the lagoon).
Horrible. Took over 30 min for a pizza and we ended up leaving early
Wonderful location on the lagoon. Charmingly decorated. Services was a bit slow. Food was good, but not great. Not sure how other on-the-lagoon restaurants compare but would return to Restaurante Limoncello for sure based on the décor and location alone.
Leaving Cancun tomorrow, so we had to come back for dinner tonight, Friday. (We were just here Tuesday) My lobster and steak combination was incredible. Our waiter, Antonio, even prepared my lobster to my preference, different than the menu described. My wife’s lasagna was equally tasteful. We will be back the next time we are in Cancun. Thank you for an excellent dining experience. Even the restrooms were clean and well decorated.
P.S. Antonio is the best, so attentive and caring over every detail of our night.
Also, the photo of the lobster combo was taken after a few bites, I just couldn't wait.
Fuimos a cenar por el cumpleaños de nuestra hija. Lugar muy acogedor, comida agradable y precios aceptables. La vista es maravillosa. Recomendado 100%
Love the ambiance of this restaurant and the view is so fun.
The piano music was also so wonderful....love it. we go here every time we are in Cancun.
This was our first visit and we fell in love with the quaint setting and the wonderful personal service. Antonio, our waiter was so friendly and accommodating, answering all of my questions about certain menu items. Then the food came, starting with the salad, the the main courses, finishing with a dessert. Everything was so fresh, hot, (except the salad) and fabulous. My hand-selected fresh lobster was one of the best I've every had. I chose the garlic butter preparation and the garlic was not overwhelming at all. My wife and I will be back, if not during this vacation, when we return to Cancun. Thank you.
We were disappointed in food quality this year. We go every time we are in Cancun.
We have loved it over the past years but this year was different. Several of the specialties offered on their regular menu were not available (dined their twice in two week period). I have never sent a dish back but the grouper with capers was rubbery. I said I couldn’t eat it and didn’t expect it taken
Off bill but the waiter asked me twice if I would like something else. I felt they are being courteous so I ordered another appetizer. When the bill was presented both the grouper and replacement were on the bill. We asked for an adjustment to gave the replacement removed and they did accommodate the request. My husband was drinking iced tea and was charged for a second ice tea when they refilled his glass; have never seen that before?
The online reviews were very good, unfortunately the food was average at best. My Chicken Marsala was poor, the chicken itself was wonderful, but the Marsala sauce was tasteless. Anyway, this is not a meca for foodies & the service is average.
VERY TASTY FOOD AND EXCELLENT SERVICE. GOOD VALUE.
Our absolute favorite restaurant in Cancun. Great setting on the water. Excellent service, big menu, big wine list...and the food is top notch! Good value considering the quality. We can't wait to return to Cancun and Limoncello!
Fantastic as usual, bit overpriced but worth treating yourself and your partner.
We had the best waiter and the view! Ravioli was terrific
Italian cuisine along with local dishes. Chocolate lava cake for dessert is a must. Service is ttentive and friendly. Beautiful view of the bay. We come here annually and have never been disappointed Highly recommend
We loved Limoncello so much that we went twice during our one week stay in Cancun. The food is delicious, authentic and reasonable for a nice Italian meal. The servers were so pleasant and helpful. My only complaint is that we waited almost an hour for our meal on the 2nd visit, and it wasn't a holiday. I highly recommend the restaurant, as long as you are not in a rush.
We ate here last night after deciding the many positive reviews offset a negative one but wish we listened to Brett on google and stayed away. No one got sick and the waiters were very nice but the service was absurdly slow and the food was at best fair. It took over an hour to get our appetizers at which time the pizza was lukewarm, the calamari was not what we expected and the mozzarella was only a step up from Polly-O. For our meals, the linguini with clams was pretty tasteless, the gnocchi wasn’t firm and the pasta with marinara had some large tomatoes that didn’t work. I would say the spicy marinara sauce was pretty good with the calamari and the seafood with pasta dishes were okay but that could have been a function of our hunger after waiting so long. The location was great but I can’t exactly reward the restaurant for a random visit by some huge crocodile, which the kids loved. The prices weren’t bad but given the wait and subpar food, I’d sum this one up as ristorante leaveitfella
OpenTable would only allow us to make a reservation for Christmas Eve at 4pm (at the latest) leading us to believe that the restaurant was closing early due to the holiday. As it turned out, the restaurant was open until midnight and we were the only table of customers in the entire place. Even though we were the only customers in the restaurant, we were immediately told that there has a "dress code" in the restaurant and that no hats were allowed. Our party of eight nearly left on this account. The food was average and overpriced... and their management was uptight, rude and condescending. it's not hard to see how they were empty on Christmas Eve. It's a shame because we really enjoyed our visit to Limoncello a year ago during our holiday in Cancun. They have fallen off since then and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone considering all of the other excellent dining options in Cancun.
Have been to Limoncello several times in the past during our trips to Cancun. Food is always delicious and well presented with excellent service. For my main course this time I tried the black pasta w/shrimp in a spicy marinara sauce. It was really good & tasty. Our waiter Pedro is a true professional when it came to service. Will definitely return here on my next visit to Cancun.
The food was not bad but honestly it's not worth it for the price. I'm confused at all if the 5 start ratings on here.
Food was amazing. Staff was attentive.
EVERYTHING JUST GREAT. MUST HAVE "SPECIAL" BURATA APPETIZER. COSTS 40 PESOS MORE ($2.00) BUT WORTH IT FOR THE SHOW OF MAKING THE BURATA CHEESE BALL. THE FISH DISHES WERE SUPERB. GREAT EXPERIENCE.
