The Ledbury calificaciones y reseñas
The food was amazing, however it was the service that makes the dining experience so unenjoyable. Took a long time before someone actually came and helped with our order, arrogant attitude when explaining the dishes, exchanging little talks between the waiters when serving the dishes - really disappointing and unexpectedly rude behavior in a michelin 2-star restaurant. Although there was one particular waiter who was attentive and polite, he couldn't save the terrible impression that the restaurant gave us. Would not come back again.
Just amazing from start to finish; the best meal out I have ever had. We went for the tasting menu and were not disappointed. Every dish was delicious and so beautifully presented too. We went for my husband's 40th and the staff pulled out all the stops to make it an extra special evening. Can't wait to go again some day!
We had a lunchmenu. Started with an apperative. The glass was half full and the first wine arrived. Immediately the first course was served. The tempo was much to high. After I asked if they could slow it down it got much better. The food was mainly nice and the signature dish was great. Cheese was real good (plate too small). I nice experience. Expectations were a little to high.
It was clearly apparent what makes The Ledbury #27 in the 50 Best Restaurant list and why it has two Michelin Stars. The food is exceptional, faultless but more so is the outstanding service of the floor staff. They worked in a precision that is mesmerising and they are all friendly, extremely knowledgeable and personable, not stiff and stuffy like some others. This is a well oiled machine from front of house to back that takes every element to the next level.
It's always chancy going back to a favourite restaurant after a few years, have things changed? Can they recreate the previous memory?? Our Ledbury experience this time was still very good but perhaps just slightly let down by the lamb main course which was tough and not very flavourful. Everything else was perfect from the starter, to the lobster and the outstanding service.
Will still go again.
This was our second visit to The Ledbury and as soon as we sat down we remembered what a special place this restaurant is. We were celebrating my husband's birthday but there were plenty of diners who were just having a nice Bank holiday lunch.
The service and attention to detail here is outstanding and nothing is too much trouble for the staff which is great. We opted to eat off of the a la carte menu but could have chosen a tasting menu or set lunch of 4 courses. The menu choice was great and each of the courses were well presented and full of interesting flavours. This restaurant deserves all of the accolades received and the Michelin stars which it has retained for many years.
It's not the cheapest restaurant around but the food and experience are outstanding and the wine choice is extensive and you don't have to spend huge amounts to get a good bottle.
I went to the Ledbury to meet up with family and to celebrate a special birthday based on a recommendation from a friend. The Ledbury certainly didn't disappoint. The contemporary interior with white table cloths and elegant table settings paved the way for a dining experience that was superb. Formal in presentation yet still retaining the relaxed ambience making dining guests feel at home. The menu was innovative and takes you on an amazing journey of flavours and visual delights. The six of us opted for the four course a la carte which was complemented by several bottles of wine expertly guided by our waiter.
Highly recommend this one but make sure you book ahead.
Simply outstanding. I've got a bit of fine dining fatigue of late and having been given a voucher for the Ledbury I wasn't sure whether I'd really love it. Well, I was blown away. The staff were wonderful as is the restaurant, simple and slick in its design. We had the tasting menu and every single course was a true delight. Every single one was a beautiful combination, to the eye and my palatte. I'd certainly go again. Top notch indeed.
We went to the Ledbury for my husband's birthday having successfully booked a lunch time table. It was our first visit and certainly will not be our last. Everything about our experience was amazing. The food was out of this world. Every mouthful incredible. The staff were attentive and fun. We chose the lunch wine pairing option which was a great way of drinking wines that we would not otherwise have experienced. We will return.
Second time I visited. This time as a joint birthday for wife and daughter. Went the whole hog and took the tasting menu. Absolutely superb - beautifully judged in flavour and texture combinations and in quantity. Service excellent with a special mention for the sommelier. Definitely up with the 3 Michelin star restaurants I have been to. Will be going again.
The Ledbury is the kind of place that you save up to go to and it really doesn't disappoint. It is a great testament to the staff that considering its well deserved accolades and fine dining atmosphere, it is also relaxed and personable and the complete opposite of intimidating.
My dietary requirements ere handled with aplomb and there is absolutely nothing that I would have changed about the evening. I just wish I could afford to go more (although my waistline probably doesn't!). Glorious and well deserving of its outstanding reputation.
This was our third time to have the treat of a lunch at The Ledbury- it was outstanding. The food was exceptional and the presentation beautiful and imaginative. I love that the service, while serious and extremely polite and knowledgeable, is not overly formal or stiff- one can relax and enjoy. I loved it- it was special- I will return! The wine pairing was also wonderful- some wines I would not have tried otherwise, which were perfect. Thanks, what an afternoon!
I've been to top, michelin-star restaurants all over the world, and this is one of the best experiences I've had.
It's a smaller place, nor crazy ornate or over the top, but the quality of the service and the meal are what makes this space so special. The food is inventive but not showy. You could come here with anyone (even a picky eater) and have a fabulous time.
Our sommelier especially fantastic. We tried excellent selections of varietals we'd never had before and got to nerd out about some of our favorites. At the end of the night, she went out of her way to prepare us a really in depth and intriguing list of suggestions of cocktail bars to check out while in London. Amazing!
I screwed up and made the reservation on the wrong night, and the team was so helpful in changing our booking last minute.
We had a fantastic evening at the Ledbury: food was excellent, service was perfect (to the standards of a 2 stars Michelin, but discreet and friendly). I had plenty of dietary requirements due to food allergies and provided you let them know in advance It is not an issue for them: I could order any of the dishes on the menu except two as they had planned a special version for me of each dish. I also had a tailor made dessert. We would definitely recommend to others and we are already planning to go back!
We went to the Ledbury to celebrate my 60th birthday bday, , absolutely stunning, we had the tasting menu and each course got better and better. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable they made us feel so at home and relaxed! Will definitely return!
Spent the afternoon at The Ledbury Notting Hill for a birthday - it really was exceptional, believe all of the hype about the Ledbury as it's wonderful - expensive but worth it - tasting menu with wine, staff absolutely fantastic - great environment - can not fault it!
We went for Sunday lunch and our experience was excellent in every respect. The staff are absolutely brilliant. Very unobtrusive but knowledgeable and friendly. The food was exceptional in terms of both taste and appearance and we had some really interesting wines. The Ledbury well deserves its Michelin stars.
It was obviously very good but I wasn't blown away. The room is pleasant enough and the service was great. All the additional canapes were a nice touch. The cheeseboard was slightly disappointing.
The table next to us were having the set lunch which looked like it was good value. Decent portions. I suspect they went home fuller than I did having had four courses from the a la carte .
This is my second visit to the Ledbury and again I was blown away. We went for the set lunch with wine pairing and everything was outstanding but for me it is the service that sets The Ledbury aside from other Michelin restaurants.
The staff are exceptional, they tailor their approach to the customer ensuring professionalism but also bringing humour and a relaxed approach.
We took family who also love their food and have visited many top end restaurants and they were also very impressed, stating it as overall their best experience.
We will definitely be returning again.
