Perch LA calificaciones y reseñas
This was the worst restaurant ever! Open Table has always given us good recommendations, but this......Take an old elevator to one floor, arrive at a dark floor, walk accross the hall to take a smaller elevator, arrive at a place where you'll find stairs to go the "terrace". Lots of "kids" in thongs, shorts and plenty of hardware in their faces. The restaurant (several floors down) itself was so dark, one could not see what was on the plates. We left in discussed before we were seated.
By the way, I don't think this place was ever inspected by the fire department nor a food inspector.
Fun location on top of office building adjacent to Pershing Square in downtown LA, the Perch is a step back in time restaurant and bar with a scenic view of downtown, and vibrant bar scene. The food is good, but not the main reason to go there -- the vibe and service shined. Make sure to have a reservation as the place was packed. Overall, I had fun, enjoyed my meal, had great service, and will be back.
The guy that wears a ridiculously oversized hat who works the host/check in stand up front was horrible. He asked 5 times (and I'm not exaggerating) for my name. Mind you my name is common and only 3 letters...SAM and he couldn't remember it when he looked up my reservation. He even tried to include me with someone else's party of 2 by asking them twice if they needed a 3 seat table for me to join them. When my partner came up from parking he looked at me and him again just to say hi how can I help you guys when I was already standing there and waiting for over 10 minutes. The waiter was ok. Could've been friendlier and more attentive. And finally the French toast was really scrambled egg. Horrible restaurant.
Perch never fails to deliver amazing service and a truly special evening! They have the finest service beginning at the door to the building and every person you encounter. They made my birthday completely magical and I cannot wait to come back again!
Went here for anniversary dinner. Started good was seated right away got water, waitress came greeted us brought menus. Then things just fell apart after that. We ordered starters and cocktails, starter made it out to us before cocktails. Starters very good. Waitress cruise by and we asked for status of cocktails. took some time cocktails make it out. Finish starters wait awhile waitress comes by asked if we want to see desert menu? Didn't have dinner yet hadn't even ordered dinner. For some reason she though we were having starters for our anniversary dinner . So put dinner choice in, my order right wife's way off. I went to manager to let her know about the mistakes, she says she will get right on it. Offer free desert for my ruined anniversary dinner. So food very good service not so much
This place was wonderful and the person who was with me was stunned. Quite a lovely place that I would return to again and again. I am thankful that one of my friends recommended this place. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends in the future. Great food, music, ambiance, and view.
My twin sister & I went to celebrate our birthday & we couldn't have been treated better! Great customer service from Terry, amazing food (we ordered the Steak Frites) & just the overall atmosphere was so fun. Thank you for the birthday butter cake, we loved it!
As always , Perch was awesome ! Ever time I / We go we have an amazing moment of intimacy and groovy ambiance all together. Good music, not too loud, not too low, EXCELLENT food and the VIEWS are FANTAASTIIICC everywhere, but even better from the roof top.
AN L.A. CLASSIC !!
Totally recommendable !
I have been here 4 or 5 times and never had my request for a table ignored before. Since I had out of town guests the view was a very important part of our dining experience. I declined the indoor table for 6 and the hostess was very pleasant about it and said if we were willing to wait 15 to 20 min our request would be honored and it was.
Ambiance outside is lovely and our waiter,Peter, was excellent.
Don't try to go to the upstairs bar unless you have proof that you are 21. The "bouncer" on the stairway upstairs is very rude.
Other than that it was a very pleasant evening.
First time there and experience was very bad. Waiter brought the check right after my first drink he didn't even ask if we wanted to order anything else. We weren't going to order food at the moment so we were told we couldn't sit there if we weren't going to eat. Will not go back there again
1st table was basically right in the middle of everything outdoors, in other words, it felt like we were seated in the center lane of the 405! Had to pass up on the great views to sit inside. My beet salad and my wife's French onion soup were both delicious. My entree' (filet) was very good. Unfortunately my wife's special ribeye was actually nothing but fat. Seriously, we couldn't find any meat other than a speck here and there. Our waiter insisted on replacing it with another dish, which we did. The strip steak, although a bit tough, was acceptable. Our waiter did bring a serving of Brussel sprouts to keep us occupied while waiting for the strip steak. After it was all said and done, the manager did come over to make sure everything was OK. They ended up comping our Brussel sprouts, and they didn't charge us a corkage for our champaign. Service was top notch, especially considering how busy it was. It's been a while since visiting here, so maybe they've relaxed the dress code? Shorts and flip flops? The ultra-casual crowd didn't really disperse until about 9:00 p.m.!
I made a reservation 3 weeks in advance and our table was awful, literally sandwiched in-between two others with only 6" in between. We we're having dinner with complete strangers. I could tell you both tables conversations word for word. The waiter couldn't even fit between the tables to take our order and he was not a large person. We were supposed to have dinner and a romantic evening, we had drinks, appetizers and left to have dinner somewhere else. VERY VERY disappointing, especially as we drove over an hour to get to the restaurant for my Husband's birthday.
I was blown away by the customer service and their flexibility. We were running an hour late and they still took us in! Amazing staff. Chris, who was picking up plates and making sure we were ok, was helpful and hospital. We had such a memorable time. Also, great band!
The good things about Perch - great view, beautiful restaurant and space, nice people. The not so good things about Perch - service was interminably slow. Orders did not get placed. One wait person for 8 hungry folks. Staff who served did not know the placement of the dishes. After several complaints, the manager did the right thing by giving us free bottles of wine to compensate for the poor service and the lost orders. I would recommend Perch to folks who have time on their side and are able to relax with the delays, not for a business dinner.
