Sur Restaurant calificaciones y reseñas
Food was really good. My steak came wrong and everyone was finished with their meal before the waiter came back and I could have it cooked longer. At that point I had eaten my sides so they were not cold. I could only eat about half of my steak from being full on my sides. It was a bit cramped we were stuck in a corner where I could barley get into my seat and everyone at the table had to get up for me to use the restroom. Overall the place was very pretty, and food was delicious. Not to mention we got to see a few of the Vanderpump rules cast.
Granddaughter and her boyfriend were visiting over spring break and she was to see where the tv show originated. Service was GREAT. From the time we arrived to when we were leaving the staff could not have been more professional and attentive. Food was excellent, especially enjoyed the meatloaf dinner.
Our service from our server was basically non existent. The manager Peter and the bus boy Jeremy were a lot more attentive then our server. The food was good and the drinks were fantastic. I refer to the goat cheese balls as crack balls because they are so highly addictive. We will return just to get our goat cheese ball fix!
To be honest the service was really rude and super inattentive. They never came to check on me. The busser checked on us more than our waitress. I will say max lisa son was very warm and genuine. He honestly was by far the most inviting and welcoming.
The ambience was great! Decorated beautifully aside from the tiny chairs in the bar area built for small children! Cocktails were all tasty. Staff was very attentive. Food came out fast. Almost too fast. It was obvious nothing was made fresh and to order. I had the chicken milanesa. It was room temperature and rubbery. My husband had the duck breast. He said it tasted great, but also was not very warm. The goat cheese balls lived up to their reputation. Delicious! Blackberry cobbler was fantastic! It comes with three scoops of vanilla ice scream which is almost too much. For such a large restaurant the bathroom accommodations were ridiculously small. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves. If I wasn't such a HUGE fan of Vanderpump Rules and Beverly Hills I don't think I would go out of my way to return. But still a positive experience.
My wife wanted to go, so I took her on our recent trip to L.A. We had Georgina as our waitress and she was new, but she was awesome. Really friendly and attentive. New or not, I would request her next time we go.
The food was really good and we enjoyed the atmosphere. We will be back
I am a huge fan of Lisa Vanderpump so that's why I went to the restaurant. It was my niece's 18th birthday so we took a trip to California. We are from New York City. The food was not good. We ordered the crab cake appetizers. First time they were brought out they looked like small chocolate cookies with a dollop of cream on top. They were burnt to a crisp. I sent them back and more acceptable looking ones were brought out. I ordered the goat cheese balls. They were disappointing in appearance and taste. The salad I ordered was just okay. I liked the lemon olive oil dressing. That was unique. The tomatoes didn't seem fresh though. My niece ordered the salmon, rice and sweet potatoes. All very salty. This all cost about $80. Not worth it. The restaurant could use a makeover. Not sure if there had been a flood but the hallway leading to the bathroom was damaged and needed maintenance work. As did the bathroom itself. After the meal we walked to Pump for dessert. Much. Better. The dessert was great. The place is fabulous looking. Lot more energy. Aesthetically pleasing establishment. I will not return to Sur but I would give Pump a try for dinner.
Exceeded our expectations! Server was Tara, she did great and was very open to my wife's questions concerning the show. The busser/server assistant never missed a beat or switching out of a utensil. Place looked great. Food was very good, my Skirt Steak was perfect Mid Rare with great flavor! Hard to do on that cut. Lobster Rav, Ahi and Cappellini were all very good as well. Nothing special on presentation but I'll take hot food cooked correctly over pretty plating any day. Prices not cheap but fair and portions were appropriate.
The Birthday "Candles" with dessert were off the charts and ended our dinner with flair.
Thanks to the Sur team! Nice Job
Our first time at Sur Restaurant. The young man who kept filling our water did not seem to be very friendly....however the rest of the staff were fabulous. The ambience of the restaurant was great. The food was very delicious. Our compliment to the chef's. I would highly recommend the restaurant. We are looking forward to coming back and enjoying another delicious meal. Last year we ate at Villa Blanca and was very delightful as well.
We were vacationing in Las Vegas and rented a car in order to drive to West Hollywood/Beverly Hills for the day. We had reservations at SUR. Hostess was friendly, bartender was very friendly. Was seated in a timely manner. Waiter was prompt and extremely friendly. We are from Ohio and watch the show Vanderpump Rules. We asked the staff several questions about the employees at SUR. When we finished dinner, our waiter told us to feel free to walk around the restaurant. We saw Britney from the show and she graciously took a picture with us. The food was delicious, the ambiance was amazing. We will definitely make SUR an annual trip!
Our server was wonderful and attentive and the hostess was very nice. The atmosphere is exactly what you would expect from a West Hollywood restaurant, loud but good tunes, dim lights, and fun vibes. The food was good but a bit expensive for the quality, but the drinks were delicious and strong. There was a table beside us of six, visibly underage kids which seemed odd for a cocktail lounge especially at nighttime. Would suggest implementing a 21+ rule for dinner.
Experience was ok, bit let dwn. Decor was pretty but restuarant felt a bit run down. Cushions in the seats for the lounge in the back had tears. Restaurant was extremely hot at 530 so was a bit uncomfortable to enjoy. Drinks were great, service was great, food portioning was a tad small for the pasta. One of our glasses for the water was dirty and had lipstick marks which we didn't notice till the end. After went to Pump which was beautiful.
I really enjoyed the set theme and environment. The music was set just right. Drinks were perfection. Food was good but had better at a better cost at other restaurants. The service was ungrateful which lead myself and few others to leave a low ball tip. Our service was unsatisfactory due to whatever the waiter had issues on. Our waiter didn't have the energy of respect to care for their guest. I will not be attending SUR again and sad to say it was my first time their with a large group of friends who were also new to the restaurant.
My wife had been to SUR a few times before and this was my first.. The food was just ok. The restrooms were so disgusting, there was toilet paper and paper towels piled everywhere. The garden was so rundown & gross, the ceiling was wrapped in white dirty tarp. The server was VERY nice, but he was in such a hurry we felt like we were bothering him. Pretty disappointed we wasted our last night in LA there. The best part - all of staff were really kind, friendly & knowledgeable, especially hostess.
Food was good. Drinks were good. Restaurant needs a face lift. Pictures crooked on walls, ladies room needs major renovation . Hostess called to confirm reservation & left a message that was barely audible because she was talking so fast. I called to modify and when hostess answered the phone, sounded like she was annoyed and was not very polite overall . When we arrived, hostess wanted to seat us 15 minutes before our reservation time, and got annoyed when we said we wanted to finish our drinks first. We asked if possible to add two more people, and were told no. Asked again when we sat down and told the same, but 10 minutes after sitting, the table next to us paid and left, and the table sat empty all night. Crowd was not sophisticated and the monitor over the bar playing Vanderpump was too much and made it tacky. Seems like a total tourist trap where the staff think they are above everyone else. I wouldn't bother!
Had to try SUR due to a work associate being in town from St Louis & she watches all the Bravo shows, she got me addicted to HOBH & VR. It was great peopl watching. We got there early so we could have a pre dinner cocktail & hang in the bar area. Latham was our bartender & very very nice, & easy on the eyes. Dinner was awesome! I had the Salmon w/mashed potatoes & spinach , 2 work associates, 1 had the Goat cheese balls & the pork chop w/ Brussels sprouts & roasted potatoes, the other had Lobster bisque & rack of Lamb w/spinach & ????. Each one of us LOVED our meal. Our Waitress & waiter, in training, were very nice but slow with getting our drinks to us, & when I'm out, get me my cocktail & im a happy camper. It was very busy and all in all, we really did enjoy the restaurant. I had to walk around & check out the whole place. Had a nice chat with Hostess Presley kinda giving me the lay of the land... very sweet girl. We walk down the street to PUMP after dinner for a final final...yet, another busy place, but had fun there as well. We will return.
Overrated, the food was terrible and overpriced! I think it's an overhyped place because of the shows. Overtired decor and suprised to find only one toilet for Women and one for Men. The only good thing was Max Vanperpump serving us who was friendly and polite enough.
This was our 2nd time at Sur. Came for my birthday. Tried new drinks off the menu. They were great! Atmosphere was nice along with vibrant music. Had a reservation for 10pm but our table was ready 30min early. We were only waiting 15min in bar area which made it nice. Food was awesome. Can't wait to come back.
My daughter and I went on her college spring break. We watch the shows so we had to go! Super dark. Waiter had to use his fon as flashlight so we could read the menu. Very expensive. I would only rate this as romantic...the lounge was hopping so good for drinks.
I had a nice time for my birthday. I was little disappointed with the cake cutting since they cut the cake really tiny and it was $3 extra per person. No one really got a decent size portion. Food was hit or miss. The ribeye was too fatty and chewy I didn't like the sauce. The lobster bisque taste too tomatoey not really much lobster flavor. I liked the calamari, bread, and the goat cheese balls but they could have came back warmer and at least 4 balls instead of 3. It's a weird sharing size.
Ambiance was nice. No one from show was actually there.
I was some what impressed with Sur for its beautiful decor and ambiance, but was really disappointed with the service. Max who was our server made a few faux pas through out the night. Served my wine on the edge of the table, literally, after trying to get our selection on dinner but forgetting to take our drink request first.
Then they managed to serve dinner without clearing the salad and app plates first, leaving the table full of dishes. Once they did clear the dishes, all the flatware was left, which for fine dining they should be clearing all. So with that being said, the dinner was delicious but the service not really so. Would probably not return but would recommend to anyone who hasn't been yet.
On our way through LA on vacation and thought we'd give it a try. Interesting, good food, inconsistent service. I may have had the wrong expectations in mind for an anniversary dinner. I was thinking this would be a little more quiet and quaint with an edgier menu. All that being said we had a good time, the prices are good and a couple of the staff were very accommodating.
