Cecconi's Miami Beach (fka Soho Beach House - Cecconi's) calificaciones y reseñas
Great interior with open air feel although we were surprised at how noisy it was given no roof. My entree, pasta with shrimp and mussels was excellent. My wife was very disappointed in her Brussels, artichoke, arugula salad; tasteless. Kind of a frantic, hurried atmosphere with waiters rushing about. Relaxed it was not.
The pasta with clams and mussels was inedible. We didn't touch it. No one ever came to ask if we were enjoying our meal. We literally took one bite and couldn't eat it. They never apologized just took away and gave us check. Seats were uncomfortable - the couch portion was so low and tables were so wide we could barely have a conversation without yelling. Entire experience was a waste of time and my husband works in restaurant industry and we go out a few times a week in NY. This restraurant does not hold a candle to the one in LA.
Dinner was nice. The burrata and beet salad was overpriced at$20. It was ok - nothing special. We had the gnocchi and seafood pasta. Both were delicious although portions were on the small side. The profiteroles for dessert were good. A large portion - not in keeping with the small to average size of the appetizers and main courses. The outdoor area where we were seated was very pretty. Lovely evening but not rushing back.
Another great evening! Drinks at the popular bar first and then down to business. Great server went through the best dishes, was very attentive and funny. Had to go for the meat balls to start as i had heard they were good and they didn't disappoint. Then a great steak for main. Whenever i visit Miami, Cecconi's is a must do on my itinerary.
If you love and appreciate good consistent Italian food, this is the place to go! The eggplant, the octopus and the Bronzino have never disappointed! The salads are wonderful as are the gnocchi with gorgonzola cream sauce (but light, not heavy) Love the food and wine
Brilliant food, perfect ambiance, fair pricing.
The service just don't get a 5 stars because the waiters were not paying close attention to us, and the situation caused because the waiter guessed my friend was asking for the check, instead of listening to what he actually wanted.
My friend took the opportunity I was serving my food to provide the payment card for the check, as he wanted to invite me as a surprise. Instead of keeping discrete as requested, the both waiters came to the table when I was already sitting to discuss the check (they actually closed out our bill because the guy didn't "listen" that it was a surprise, and brought along a colleague to help the understanding). I obviously questioned why the check was being delivered in the middle of our meal and my friend got extremely embarrassed for the situation he caused.
I really love this restaurant, I'll be back again for sure. Just a little bit of more concentration from the staff would make the experience truly above the level, as this place deserve to be known.
I've enjoyed this restaurant in the past, but the past is past! I was called to confirm the reservation, which was for 7:30. Three hours later, I called back and asked if I could change the time to 8 as my guest's flight was late. I was told by person #2 on phone that my reservation was not at 7:30, but at 7 and I could not change it. When I told her about the confirmation call, she didn't believe me. I even asked if the customer was always wrong?
When we arrived at the restaurant, we were seated immediately and had a lovely waitperson.
We ordered tuna tartar and when it arrived, my guest didn't like it at all and I thought is was
very disappointing. She called over the head waiter, who mouthed off, saying "well,
that's the best dish in the house." He then turned and pounced away.
A few minutes later, a lovely host came to the table (not because of what happened) and asked how we were enjoying our dinner. My guest told her what happened and she immediately sent over another appetizer of our choice. At the end of the meal, I gave the waiter my Open Table
$20 gift card and he looked like he'd never seen one before. The host came to the table and said that I had to re-print it out in a different format in order for them to take it.
I've always printed the gift cards the same way and there has never been a problem until this restaurant.
It was not a exactly an enjoyable evening.
A friend and I took a girls weekend to Miami and I picked this as one of our places for dinner. I read many reviews about this place and was hopeful. Unfortunately for us every negative review I read was true, it's very loud, weird waitstaff and way too thick and al dente pasta. It's not cheap either. We ate at an Asian fusion place for lunch the next day and let me tell you the pasta there was outstanding! I wouldn't go back to Cecconi's. Just to note, I had the seafood pasta and my friend the lamb ragu. Both 6.5-7 out of 10.
Lots of cha cha cha at this joint. Food is excellent and the service will not disappoint. Wine list is great but 3x store prices. So we drank mediocre stuff for $74 per bottle. The wine we wanted was $150 and should have been about $90. I Still recommend the place.
I am Italian so a bit of a critic with Italian food. Well let me tell you I wanted to kiss the cook, I cannot say enough how delicious his cooking is. We shared a cold antipasto the prosuitto was the freshest tastiest I've ever had, the buratto melted in your mouth. We also shared cavatelli with Lamb gravy OMG it was like a meat sauce your Italian mom or grandmother makes. The eggplant parm was outstanding. Don't skip dessert the mocha ice cream encased in profitteroles with chocolate sauce was the icing on the cake of a superb meal. Amazing.
We were very impressed with the brunch. the Lasagna was the best I have had outside of Florence, Italy and loved the ravioli and other pasta as well. Plus there was so much to choose from. Lots of grilled meats, chicken plus made to order eggs/omelets and all types of bakery items. they had lots of cheeses and salads. I was not overly impressed with the desserts but who even needed them after all the other food! Can't wait to go back!
Outside dining area had pretty trees strung with lights. However hostess tried to seat us at a table where one of the seats was directly below a branch a face level. Service started out good. We had several people waiting on us and did not know who was our waiter. As the evening progressed and as the restaurant became more crowded, the service disintegrated and the noise level became very loud. The food was just ok from the appetizer to the main course to the dessert. For the money, I would not return or recommend this restaurant.
