Barton G. The Restaurant - Miami Beach calificaciones y reseñas
Barton G is a restaurant for a special occasion or if visiting Miami. The food is good to very good, but the presentation is amazing. Every meal or drink has some over the top presentation, from the martinis with liquid nitrogen to make them "freezing" cold to the popcorn shrimp served in a mini popcorn machine. Our kids loved it especially the dessert which consisted of a giant mound of cotton candy. Despite the fact that there were literally kids at every table, they don't have a kids menu. You can order a side of mac n cheese or sliders, but it baffles me as to why they don't have specific kids items. Guess they want it to be though of as an adult restaurant which is what the ambiance feels like. The prices are high, but it's worth the spectacle. Would I go with my spouse? probably not, but if you have kids or a work group and want a cool experience, this is your place.
Took my fiancé here for the first time as a late Valentines Day dinner. Waited over 40 min to be seated when I had a reservation. Host sat us at a tiny table half a foot away from another party. I could literally touch the woman sitting at the table next to me which made me uncomfortable. Extremely over booked that night. Waitress seemed overwhelmed and didn't check on us regularly. Very loud music and atmosphere. Had to continuously ask my fiancé to repeat himself. My fiancé didn't enjoy the tuna and my salmon had no flavor. Asked for the dessert menu three times before I actually received it. Horrible experience. Not worth the drive, wait, or money. I was embarrassed at the end of the night when my fiancé told me hes had better service at Chilis. Doubt I'll be returning.
I come here often and the service USED TO BE great, we had horrible service and our waiter didn't seem to care. Once, we complained to the manager, he showed no empathy.
The food was sub par, and the eclecticism that makes the restaurant fun and interesting, was quickly cleared off the table.
I'm VERY disappointed. I came out of state and recommended this restaurant to my friends who have never been. This experience totally turned them off and the menu change was not well received.
Service was sub standard from the beginning when we were seated 40 minutes after our reservation time. We waited a long time for drinks and where not followed up with regularly by our servers after the meals arrived. Food was good but service was not especially considering there is an automatic 18% gratuity added to the bill. I consistently tip at 20%, and would have less than 18% on this occasion if possible.
We went for a late Valentine's Day. I thought the restaurant was beautiful and the dishes were definitely over the top but the pricing was very steep for what the restaurant ultimately had to offer. I've definitely had better tasting, less expensive food but I suppose we paid for the experience that Barton G.'s offers. Overall, it was definitely a positive experience, I just felt the price you paid was definitely more for the ambiance and "over-the-topness" of it all as opposed to the actual food.
The food was very good but the service was one of the worst experience I've had at a restaurant. Since we got there a little tardy they canceled our reservation and put us on a waiting list but no one was there to even create a waiting list. We waited an extra half an hour for a table that was already ready for us 15 mins ago. Once seated it took forever for us to track down our waiter to order. I don't think we are ever going to go again .
Presentation was amazing. Unfortunately, we had to wait 30 minutes for a table which we had a reservation for. Not cool to overbook even if it's valentines. Also, the host or "matri'de" was not very welcoming. Also, server was not knowledgeable of the menu at all. The creativity saves this place.
Definitely do not recommend Barton G. on a busy date like Valentines Day. The service was not great, they tried to process us in-and-out quickly with very little time to enjoy our dining experience. Drink presentations were nice, however they were quick to removed the props and leave us with only the glass. In addition, we were forced to order our appetizers, entres, and deserts together at once; needless to say we felt rushed. Now, the food quality was great. I highly recommend the mac & cheese. The filet mignon and skinny fries were also delicious. Overall good experience, but there's a very high price to pay for it.
Had a fantastic birthday here with my partner. Sat outside - wonderful balmy evening, and really great choice of music! Food was outrageously presented - the "dollar" dessert photo was a big hit on Facebook ! Highly recommended for a fun OTT date - but expect to pay for that pleasure!
This is not at all what I was expecting! In an expensive restaurant I expect excellent service and food and unfortunately neither was good. I had to ask 3 times for line for my sparkling water, we ordered white wine and after pouring the glasses the waiter just put the bottle on the table! I had to ask him to put it in ice, which for white wine shouldn't have been an issue! All the plates were delivered with giant props on the table like for a kids party, imagine we took business clients how embarrassing! My husband ordered seared tuna and instead received raw tuna wrapped in seaweed sushi like. They did change it and he had the sea bass instead which was good but again with a big prop! My dish was so salty I couldn't eat it, the manager removed it from the bill and our guest I think we're just embarrassed. No one comes to offer fresh ground pepper either, details you expect when drinks average $30 and entree $48! They should concentrate more on service and food and less on props!
We love this place but what I still do not understand is if the restaurant is not fully booked why do you sit people so close together??This is not the first time it has happened and we have asked to move before .Why would you put a 2 person table in between tables of 4/5 so close that you can reach across the other table? Our server was outstanding but you really should work on accommodating couples a little better.
If you go here make sure you are clear and ask for a corner table if your a couple. That is my only issue with the restaurant besides that its a great place with fun food.
