Amazing night out and many thanks to the whole team for making our 17th Anniversary celebration so very special!!!
A true foodie destination. Worth it for the bread alone; which has me thinking about baking more of my own. Every dish interesting, tasty and artful, but not pretentious. Will go back after my bank account tecovers
Good food, overpriced for portion sizes
More fancy then value
A fabulous evening with spectacular culinary delights, presented beautifully, elegantly served at the top end of hospitality, foodie dining experience.
Blue Hill is an amazing place. The restaurant is lovely and intimate. The staff and service was excellent.
Unfortunately, we were underwhelmed by the food. We had high expectations, possibly too high. The food was good, just not great. Sigh.
My taste buds never experience anything like this before. I wasn’t expecting to get such flavorful dishes with such good service. Now I know why Blue Hill is a destination restaurant. We’ll have to come back here on our next visit from Las Vegas.
Most incredible dining experience I've ever had. The level of thought and care in every dish is unmatched.
it was so good!
Special food experience! Perfect for birthday dinner, anniversary, or nice date night!
Service staff was amazing, polite and aware of needs. Food was delicious. The value was well balanced.
The service is unbelievable!!! Extremely professional and still very friendly. Attention to detail is extreme and makes one feel great. It is a great experience!
We sat in the garden which was much better than being in the main room and much less noisy. The food is spectacular and the service excellent in a friendly atmosphere of foodie heaven
Overall a great experience, but honestly not sure I would do it again if that is a measure. Glad we did it, for sure, but didn’t leave me saying ‘that was awesome’.
All hat said, there are good things to say.
Loved the impression of exclusivity.
You can barely find the place, which if you a r trying to impress, is great.
It’s in a great location. We walked through Washington Square before dinner which added to the overall experience.
Liked being in the ‘room’ with all of the other diners. Family feel was great.
The service was very good! Staff were knowledgeable of the menu, and added to the experience. Would have been nice to make more links to the farm. We were a late evening setting, my sense is there would have been time to find out why we chose Blue Hill and then cater the experience.
The tough ‘old’ beef did not resonate with everyone at our table. Glad I tried it, but not sure I get the story. It seems out of sync with my impression for the exclusivity and price point. Maybe better in a stew, and not a main feature.
Best thing for me was as we were leaving talking to one of the senior staff who asked us how we heard about Blue Hill, almost wanted to sit down again.
Ok, maybe I would come back. I was obviously impressed given a re read of my comments.
Consistently this is my favorite restaurant in NYC - every meal I've had here has been epically delicious, thoughtful and thought-provoking, and so so satisfying! The way they treat vegetables here is just amazing - you don't miss the meat at all (although there is meat on the menu if you want it) -- there's a great energy in the space and service is attentive, polished but human, and really adds to the experience! This is our favorite place to go for an anniversary or birthday dinner -- this time we introduce my mom to it and she was just over the moon!
I really enjoyed my first visit to Blue Hill. The food was exceptional, as was the service. Definitely a unique dining experience. I will be back next time I’m jn NYC.
Blue Hill is always worth the expense. There’s nothing else like it anywhere. The service is fantastic and our server Mary could not have been better. She selected items that I never would have ordered, and I’m better for it. Excellent, excellent meal.
Couldn't have had a better experience. Exactly what you expect from fine dining.
Delicious food, great experience
A wonderful evening overall, excellent food and professional customer service
This meal was thoughtful and imaginative start to finish. I will be back, and back, and back.
Superb experience. The noise and ambiance is for sitting in the garden room, which is our preferred location. Shared the farmers and 4 course menu to get the full experience. Every course was spot on. Great quality, great execution. Very inventive dishes and unique ingredients. Pricey, but well worth it.
We LOVE Blue Hill- the food is Fabulous and the service is the BEST!! 💜💕💜
Went hear for my 5 year wedding anniversary and it was one of the best meals I have ever had. Great experience!
Exceptional meal. We had the extended farmer’s feast with some excellent wine. Everything was delicious and service was spot-on. Would definitely go again and now have redoubled my efforts to try out the Stone Barns version upstate
We had a lovely dinner recently at Blue Hill, NYC. We sat in their garden room which was a delight. The food was fresh and delicious. It made eating more fun. Some of the courses were stronger than others. The grilled eggplant on the menu was amazing. Service was attentive and made the overall experience that much more enjoyable. We’ve been to Blue Hill before and we will definitely visit again!
A very memorable experience of dining.
We moved to the area two years ago and couldn't wait to try Blue Hill. We finally did and was disappointed with every course. It was nothing to get excited over, felt like something was missing from each dish. The service and wine were amazing as well as sitting on the back patio but will not be making our way to the farm to try that location.
This was the most disappointing meal we’ve ever had. We love Stone Barns and Dan Barber’s philosophy, so we were very excited about trying this NYC outpost, but start to finish the meal was weak bordering on unacceptable. The pace was slow with upto 35 minute breaks between courses, we were starving after the “finger foods” amuse but then had to wait 25-30 minutes for our first real course to come out, which was served with the wrong knife, so we were shredding apart beautiful tomatoes into mush. I asked for bread at one point because I was so unbelievably hungry, and the waiter curtly said “the bread comes when it comes”, which felt rude and judgmental. The food itself was weak with many courses having too much salt or too little technique and effort to really constitute something special. Presentations were kitschy, and sometimes inconvenient (see cantaloupe soup in a half cantaloupe that had a ton of flesh left on it that couldn’t be eaten with a spoon). It was our anniversary and the staff made little effort beyond putting a “happy anniversary” note on the table. All in all just very underwhelming.
The best. Dan Barber and his team have always taken good care of me and my family when dining with them.
Hands down the best service I have ever received. The farmers feast was annazing experience. I would definitely go back
Ethereal experience. Everything you’ve heard is true. Worth the time and money.
My husband and I ate at Blue Hill for our anniversary. We were not particularly excited about the farm to table experience and were blown away by the simplicity and freshness of the ingredients - especially the Jersey tomatoes and corn. The service was excellent and we will be returning for special occasions. Thank you!
It was absolutely amazing. The team did a great job making us feel welcome. Food was on point. Service even better. Definitely looking forward to coming back.
Great food! Amazing service!
We were celebrating our anniversary. As with many restaurants in NYC the tables were very close together. The food and service were very good. We thoroughly enjoyed most everything & we love trying new things.
This was an incredible meal from start to finish. It’s clear the team takes measures to ensure a good dining experience is had by all. The ingredients from the farm that were brought to start the meal were so flavorful and delicious. Every dish brought something new and interesting to taste. The only item that fell flat for me was the dessert but it was still an incredible meal and dining experience. My waiter was great to offer tastes of wine to choose from but I wish he had laid out the pairing options at the beginning of the meal. Still - 5 stars. I’d come back in a heartbeat. I like that the restaurant asks you to limit cell phone use in dining room. 👌
Excellent experience at Blue Hill. Was one of the top meals I've had in New York. It was a unique dining experience with a number of unique vegetables I hadn't eaten or seen anywhere before. The staff were exceptional and attentive and the vibe of the restaurant was elegant and respectful.
Our experience was unforgettable, and the service was exemplary. It was quite busy at the bar and near the door, which contributed to the noise level a bit--we had an amazing time, and hope to return to try the winter menu.
A must-do dining experience for foodies! Everything was innovative and delicious without being weird to trying too hard.
We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary a few days early during a trip to NYC. We made reservations at Blue Hill based on an online search of "special places to eat," and truly Blue Hill did not disappoint. For a fine dining restaurant, the service is absolutely the most friendly and inviting. The setting is cozy and romantic without any pretentious flair. Our server, Kim, was incredibly friendly and informative. Our sommelier, Leslie, helped us pick the perfect bottle of wine. And we were even surprised when the second sommelier, Taylor, recognized us as the couple who rode next to him at SoulCycle earlier that day. :) The entire team made our night feel so happy. And the food! We haven't experienced/tasted anything that good in a long time. Highly, highly recommend Blue Hill whenever you need a special place to go!
