Indochine - Hotel Nizuc calificaciones y reseñas
You can't beat the service and ambiance at this restaurant however my only negative comment is that our main courses were a bit underwhelming. We ordered the fried grouper and the angus filet, which was pretty good, but I was more impressed by how tender and melt in your mouth the salmon and tuna nigiri was! The Malay coconut soup was also delicious.
This was my third visit back with Hotel Nizuc. The place is simply marvelous. Ambience, staff, attention to detail. As perfect as it can be. This was my second dinner at Indochine. I had the lobster masala, delicious!... and a really smart and different presentation. Without spoiling the surprise, the delicate taste of lobster is not overshadowed by the masala and other tastes of the dish. Service was professional, personalized, elegantly low-key. Hint: try to secure a water's edge table.
The most beautiful restaurant I've ever seen anywhere in the world! Wood...stone...reflecting pools...fire...ocean...tranquility...more. The food is Asian fusion and very good. We ate the Vietnamese spring and summer rolls and both were excellent (and a bit different) versions of these dishes. For entrees I had sushi rolls and my wife had a black bass cooked in a style that was more nouvelle French than Asian. Both were terrific. The deserts seemed to be more Mexican with one of them(fried ice cream) a bit of a failure (the ice cream was too runny). Overall we loved the attempt to capture some of the best things about my favorite cuisines. The bill was about $200...but I wouldn't have felt cheated if it were twice that.
Indochine is a very lovely restaurant in the gorgeous hotel that we stayed, Nizuc Resort. The food was very good but not outstanding. I had a filet mignon which was extraordinarily tender but I thought the teriyaki-like sauce tasted like it was out of a bottle (which is typical in asian restaurants these days). My husband liked his spicy chicken dish very much. The atmosphere and service are just lovely!
