Love this place- superior food and service and fantastic views.
Beautiful restaurant and excellent food. Terrific view. Lovely outdoor seating. Interesting menu. Very good.
Great service even though it was very late around midnight
Food was not great.
We had a great breakfast at Zumo this week. The ambiance, service and price were great. Carlos was our waiter and he was incredible - very attentive to our every need and so professional. The big surprise for us was how reasonably priced the breakfast was. Bottomless cup of coffee, a huge plate of fruit, fresh rolls, and a choice of several superb breakfast entrees, all for just 120 pesos plus tip! If you want to experience one of the finest restaurants in San Miguel for a very modest price, I suggest Zumo for desayuno/breakfast.
Loved the place!!!
Excelente ambiente y servicio
We went for a weekday lunch. Unfortunately, preparation was underway for a reception and we did not receive the expected service from the wait staff. Chairs were piled up near the door and the restrooms, so the atmosphere was not what it should have been. The consensus was that the food was good, and special requests were granted graciously. Although the situation was not the best this time, we will give it another try.
Great restaurant !!! ...… and YES to the elevator !!!!
Zumo is now my favorite restaurant in San Miguel. Congratulations to the owner who organized the lovely staff, the amazing view and the outstanding chef! I have many houseguests throughout the year and this restaurant will be at the top of my list for entertaining them.
outstanding wait staff. sommelier gave great pairings for tasting menu and individual entrees. all foods expertly prepared and presented. pre-dinner cocktails were great. can't go wrong at Zumo.
A beautiful view, lovely large terrace, comfortable chairs, attentive service - but most of all, simply delicious food.
This was my third time visiting Zumo in this new location, and will certainly not be the last. We were three people, and each ordered a different entree. All of us were delighted. And the Cauliflower soup is not to be missed.
Yes, it's a bit pricey but you'll have a lovely evening.
excelente servicio, buena comida y un experto sometieron
We have been enjoying Zumo for over 3 years. Tonight we had our last visit. The service was slow and disinterested, the soft shell crab salad good but the sea bass and salmon entrees were boring and flavorless.
We preferred it in the past when there was a serious passion for the food and the menu changing with the season and ingredients.
It’s not inexpensive and the other choices in SMA are a better option.
This is advertised as upscale fine dining and I didn’t feel it was either. We arrived for our reservation and told to sit wherever we wanted. A waiter brought drink menu and wine list, but offered no welcome. No explanation of anything. We had to ask for food menu and still no explanation of anything. The tuna tartare app was ok but a little to much sauce. My duck was bland, my wife had a salad and salmon that was just okay. It’s a great view, but for the money there are better choices in San Miguel
Top notch food, although very pricy. View is spectacular, menu is small but well balanced. We had reservations, got a great table and enjoyed reading the menu and soaking in the ambiance. Not a full restaurant even in Sat night, but service was spotty to the point of ignoring us. Our waiter was very professional, friendly and got initial orders done quickly. Lamb chops were probably best we ever had. Waiter asked us if we wanted some still water and brought us a three quarter full, open bottle, label said mineral water, but just tap, and added insult to injury, charged us 80 pesos. REDICULOUS Hate to say it really put frowns on our face after a very good meal. Also he was attending to other tables and basically just forgot us, so we never got the dessert we so very much craved. Sorry to say we came away discouraged. Not sure we will go back.
The roof top terrace is beautiful. The restaurant was very noisy due to a group of wedding party celebrations. The music was loud and all you heard was the drum of the beat. It felt like we were in a discoteca. We had hoped for fine dining in a pleasant atmosphere. The food was definitely not gourmet as we had expected, it was at best average. No reason to come back. The service, however, was impeccable.
Great service and location; food presentation was lovely; overall quality of food was average.
Una sorpresa de sabores, presentación. Extraordinario.
Muy grata sorpresa. El lugar es esepcinal en una terraza con una vista espectacular
We did the tasting menu. Seven courses. All were well done. Very good, but not spectacular. Pricey. Close to U.S. prices.
While the view is spectacular, there are so many more restaurants that do a better job than Zumo. We were seated quickly but then had to wait 45 minutes before receiving our drinks and then another 30 minutes before the meal arrived. I ordered steak and it was undercooked, fatty and cold by the time it arrived. We would not recommend this or go there again.
Chef Alex was so amazing my wife and I went there for dinner. Asked the chef to create something for vegetarians please. Oh my it was wonderful and delicious! He is a master at cooking. You can taste the soul and love in every dish. Looking forward to going back soon. Thank you chef Alex for an amazing date night with my wife.
Beautifully designed. Beautiful view and food and service lived up to surroundings. Ate there twice while while in San Miguel. And they have an elevator which most rooftop restaurants don’t have!
We dined on the tasting menu with wine pairings and it was wonderful, best meal of the trip so far. Great view and a fun band with an extensive playlist. Owner Stewart was very hospitable.
Go for the view with low expectations. At the prices it is hard to not expect the best. More expensive than our dinner at the Rosewood. In fact most expensive meal we had in San Miguel over the month we visited. I never expect fast service on Mexico, but this was just disorganized. Given a cocktail list upon sitting down. Not a dinner or wine list. Had to ask for the wine list, first two selections were not available. We didn't have a beverage of any kind for 30 minutes. Please note we were one of perhaps 6 tables as we were there early, 6:30. Finally a beverage, was able to place a food order about one hour after we sat down. Burrata appetizer, delicious, arrived 20 minutes after we ordered it. Main entree arrived about 5 minutes after the appetizer. I ordered a steak, medium, arrived extremely rare, cold in the middle. My husband, seafood risotto, two shrimp, two pieces of octopus. He finished his meal before I could get anyone to notice that my steak was not prepared correctly. Both mains were okay, not exceptional. All in all meal was equivalent to $150 usd for one bottle of white wine, one appetizer and two mains. Can;t say I would return with so many wonderful restaurants in San Miguel.
Muy buena atención y la vista espectacular pero como todo en San Miguel, excesivamente caro
La comida deliciosa, pero el servicio fatal.
De las peores experiencias que he tenido en ese lugar.
Six women have breakfast together every Monday morning. We go to various restaurants around San Miguel. There are only a few we'll return to. Zumo is on our return list.
The setting is rather spectacular, with a nearly 360 degree view of the city, including the Parroquia and the beautiful mountains. And the room is cheerful, with lovely yellow upholstered chair on rollers and a wooden floor! I'm a small person. There are a lot of wonderful restaurants in SMA with chairs that are heavy and difficult to maneuver over tiled floors. Zumo was a welcome change.
The food and coffee were good and the service was attentive and pleasant.
I make note that you have to go down the stairs parallel to Quebrada. From there, the entrance is marked as Villa Limon. At our most recent visit, February 11, we were assured the elevator was just days from installation.
We are all agreed we'll return to Zumo. We've had lovely experiences there.
Amazing food and service. Lovely rooftop with beautiful views.
My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Zumo. Our dinner was on Super Bowl Sunday so the restaurant had set up multiple large TV's for viewing. They had a special menu for the game however we were still able to order off of their regular menu. The views were spectacular, the service was great, and our meal was wonderful. We will definitely be back again!
Gran sorpresa, buena comida y excelente trato.
The food was great, service was a bit lacking. Good location.
I celebrated my 60th Birthday at Zumo with my husband and 3 other couples. From start to finish the meal and experience was exceptional. The food was outstanding and the service spot on, not to mention the atmosphere and view! Thank you to Zumo for making my birthday more special and memorable that I dreamed of. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAUARNT!
I was dining alone but I was treated well. I had an excellent cocktail as the sun set, a fois gras dish followed by a curried broth surrounded by muscles. All of it was delicious. The manager came over to check on my meal and stayed to chat for a while. It was a welcoming place with excellent food.
