    Came with some friends. We had Snapper, meatloaf and mushroom and pork enchiladas. Food was good and unique flavors. Not your typical Mexican food. Vegetables were nicely done. Don’t recommend the meatloaf though. Too sweet and barbecue like. Nice atmosphere but between the live music and the crowd noise it was impossible to hear conversation at your table. I hope they put in some acoustic baffles soon. It really diminishes the experience.

    The food is delicious. I guess by telling us the restaurant is a high end Mexican Restaurant that means they don't serve chips and salsa. I have eaten at other "high end Mexican Restaurants " where that was not the case. Our server was friendly when we were finally attended to. The manager saw us sitting with no service and did nothing to remedy that. If they want to be known for high end cuisine, they need to have top notch service. We will go back because the food is very good.

    Our server for Sunday brunch was Aaron, and he was terrific. We were a large group (9) with two adult birthdays and 3 children under the age of 8. Noisy. A drink was spilled. Aaron did a wonderful job, remained patient and good natured. However, there was another server who was supposed to be helping Aaron. Every request for more coffee or additional silverware was met with an eye roll and an expression of extreme annoyance. When it was time to pay our bill and leave, there was considerable discussion about how to leave a tip that would only go to Aaron. The buffet was good. One adult ordered a la carte, and there were 3 kids' meals. One little comment: When there are 3 kids to keep happy, it would be great if their food came out first. We nearly had to lasso one hungry kiddo! All is well.

    We had been here before, but did not remember that it was this noisy. My food was ok-I had the trout but without the sauce because I am allergic to avocados. It was a little dry- needed the sauce! My husband had the red fish, which was hard to find, as it was overwhelmed by the crab concoction piled on it. Wine list was limited. We wanted Prosecco, which they did not have. The red wine we had was ok. Our server was conscientious and pleasant. All in all, not a great experience.

    So good. Always an amazing experience. Chris was awesome and did such a great job teaching us how to make shrimp tostada bites. Heather (Maestro Dobel rep) was amazing, and what a wealth of information about tequila and mezcal. They made our night so special. We had to hit the bar after to keep the good times rolling

    This is our second visit to this location. We went at Happy hour and the prices were fantastic! The food was delicious as always & service impeccable!

    Great service with attention to detail that I usually only see in much higher end restaurants. Food was very good. Highly recommend the beef enchiladas. Did by not have a chance to sample much of the menu as this was a lunch with young kids, but will definitely return for dinner service.

    Lacking on several fronts. We went to brunch to be able to talk with everyone at the table. I am all for live music but during a brunch setting it should be back ground level. Part of the issue is the design of the restaurant did not factor acoustics. Not only was the guitarist loud but every move of a chair echoed through the restaurant (chair feet pads are very inexpensive). The service was a bit off as well. Our toast came out way after our meal so the eggs were cold by the time the toast arrived and when it did was not fully toasted. Two of us had a garden omelette but one with jalapeño’s and there was no knowledge which one was which lastly the coffee had coffee grounds in the coffee. The food was good but the lack of the other items took away from the entire brunch. I would recommend the huevos rancheros That was an excellent dish!

    Not only is the food outstanding, the staff at Z-Tejas is as well! Everyone went out of their way to welcome us and make sure every need was met throughout the meal. This is one of our favorite places to eat in the Kyle area!
