Very good food! Place was quite hot though!
Very good 👏👏👏
Great eclectic menu. Wonderful atmosphere and service. Loved it
Not kid friendly unless your child is adventurous. Chic setting, but extremely loud. Great food, but not a great value.
Always fantastic! Ate here when they opened and many times after. Food is beyond great! A tad noisy but energy is awesome.
Great food, great service.
Absolutely loved their $25 menu! We got to try so many things and the quality and taste of the meat is on par with the ones I had in Greece! I'm a fan of Jose Andres, so a great experience was expected and achieved. :)
Food, delicious. Noise level, deafening!
We have been happy patrons of Zaytinya for a long time and it never disappoints. One of us is a vegetarian and the other eats meat. The vegetarian menu offers a range of delicious options (but we do miss the lentil patties). The lamb is consistently excellent in its many forms. This time we brought relatives who do not live in DC. They loved the food and the ambiance. They had lamb but shared the falafel, which, to their surprise, they found delicious. The service was outstanding--helpful, quick, and very friendly without being intrusive.
The food and service are always amazing. The spreads are fantastic. Best babaghnoush I have ever had. The Shish Taouk was good too. Always an excellent meal. Our waiter John gave us fantastic recommendations. Will go every time I am in DC
In DC for business conference - our contingent of 7 made reservations for dinner and couldn’t be happier with Zaytinya’s. Convenient location to the Grand Hyatt Hotel, beautiful setting, wonderfully gracious and patient wait staff, delicious food and drink. Great seating arrangement for our larger group. Get server all meze plates to pass and you won’t be disappointed! Will definitely return should the opportunity arise.
Delicious! Must go
We sat on the patio. The food was delicious, the presentation beautiful and the service superb. This place is a gem!!
We did the Zaytinya experience, which was absolutely fantastic. You start with two dips and their fantastic pita bread. Then, they bring you the salad course (we had a watermelon feta salad that was superb). Then we got three kinds of seafood dishes - including grilled octopus and shrimp. Next came the meat dishes (the lamb shoulder was EXCEPTIONAL). By the time dessert came around, we were so full, but they were totally worth the extra effort. It's a LOT of food, so if you're getting it, keep that in mind. Also highly recommend the rose wine flights. On the negative side, the service was a little slow to get started and the servers sometimes spoke way too softly given how loud the restaurant was. Still, it's a 5-star experience for us.
Excellent choice for a pescetarian and 2 meat eaters. We all left happy and full. Can't wait to find an excuse to go back.
Nice modern feel. Excellent food and service. We loved it.
The food here is amazing! Slowly becoming my favorite restaurant in DC.
First time customer after wanting to dine here for some time. Food was exceptional, different and beautiful. Looking forward to a future visit (soon) and will definitely take visitors from out of town here, truly a cool place.
Just a delay in getting our table - because of a prior party that only had the space until 10. A friend in our group of 9 put pressure on the manager and after that she did tell the there party that the table was reserved. nice server / great food.
Great service and food! I had booked a reservation for a party of 6 --relatives from out of town. Another couple asked to join us. I called and was easily accommodated. More impressively was that when we arrived, the restaurant was extremely busy and there was a very, very noisy family reunion happening upstairs. The noise, frankly, was deafening and severely impacted our ability to speak to each other. I inquired about moving our table outside and the staff was able to once again, accommodate. Although I would have preferred to be inside because of the heat and humidity, I was happier to be outside to have a conversation!
My only hesitation to return would be only say that this restaurant is so popular that it does get very noisy--so be forwarned. It's probably worth it though--the food is excellent!
We had an awful experience at this place all the workers were very unfriendly and felt like they did not want to be there when we asked them any question they answered very rudely we ordered ketchup and it's yet to arrive we did not even finish our dinner and left .
I do not recommend this place to anyone .
Visit with my sister from Miami.
We arrived close to closing and it just seemed the wait staff was inattentive and edging to close up. Apart from that the food was excellent and everything else
2 of us for dinner. Very busy restaurant so it's very loud. Most of our dishes were great. The chicken kabobs were our favorite. Service was outstanding.
First time visit on a Friday for dinner - great food, accordable prices and speedy service. I ordered Dolmades, Lamb Bahar and Turkish Delight. Presentation and taste were amazing! I will definitely be a returning guest in the future as I wish to expand my horizons and try other items on the menu.
The food here is always amazing, make sure to order from the seasonal menu! Can get a bit noisy around happy hour time but the setting is open and service always great.
Lunch; with a colleague. As always, delicious food in a pleasant setting and very helpful wait staff. Zaytinya is my choice when I'm in the area.
Honestly, it lives up to the hype. Everything was delicious, including the cocktails.
Unfortunately we had to wait 25 Minutes for the table despite the reservation. That was unpleasant because we wanted to celebrate a birthday and that nearly spoiled our mood
Service and food were excellent. I will definitely be back!
Top flight food. One of DC’s best restaurants
Unique menu with excellent service. Acoustic are a bit overwhelming but nicely decorated.
First time back for dinner in a few years, and the food and ambiance are as good as ever. Impressive range of dishes, all well executed. Service was inconsistent -- water glasses sat unfilled for too long, and there was a noticeably long unexplained wait between the first wave of plates to come out and the rest. But overall that didn't detract from a nice night out with friends. We'll be back.
This has been a standby for me for several years and it's natural that there would be some visits that are better than others. This time I noticed the food was good, as usual, but maybe not outstanding. The mushroom and couscous was a little extra gooey in a not so appealing way, although the flavor was solid. That used to be a fan favorite...but...something was a bit off. Everyone liked the bronzini. The brussel sprouts were solid but could have used a bit more pizzaz in the flavor department. I'll keep this on my standby list, but this visit was a little hit-and-miss.
The top notch service was matched perfectly with the delicious food! Go hungry as the portions are big! The pita bread is delicious and bountiful. We went for lunch and were in and out in an hour.
Great food and good selection.
Loud inside but nice night and relaxing atmosphere outside!
Excellent food and service. Good value for DC dining.
Great octopus, brussel spouts, and squid!!! My mom liked them even though she normally doesn’t eat them.
