The atmosphere was very underwhelming, too quiet. The decoration is also not great (curtains)
Inside looks a bit run down and in great need of refurbishment. Food fantastic , but decoration chipped tables and seats, dust on windows spoiled the great service and great food. Would try the Italian next time which was extremely busy and Chinese was empty. I suspect due to inside.
Enjoyable pre Disney on ice lunch including a 6 year old👍
Excellent food and surroundings.
Great value for money.
Went here for a meal before a concert at the Hydro. We were given the pre-concert set menu. I had the prawn soup it was luke warm at best then sweet and sour chicken balls with egg fried rice. The chicken balls tasted floury and I had to send back the rice as it was undercooked. Very overpriced for what we were served up £18.95 for 2 courses!! The staff were friendly enough though. I don’t think I would eat here again.
Too many servers came up to ask us the same questions and felt rushed while eating meal
Excellent food, great service and very good price. Highly recommend
Firstly far to expensive. Starters. Everyone one knows what soup and spring rolls are but what about the rest after being asked if I was ready to order I said no as I didn't know what was on offer, and tried to ask the waiter but he went away as I wasn't ready, when he came back I said I was ready to order but asked what things were. But unfortunately as he spoke it was hard to understand him and I felt rushed into ordering. The mains, it's the first time I've ever seen the chicken being placed floting on top of the curry sauce, . There we a few mains that came with no sauce , mix this with rice made the meal very dry. I would like to see your menu improved to allow customers who like to try something different a better idea of whats in your meal
Went before a show at the Hydro...
Only available menu at 4pm was a two course set menu with limited choice at £18.95 each....
Food was below average, drinks expensive, even a tiny bowl of mediocre Chinese curry sauce was £3.00 extra....
Bill was over £50.00 for worse fayre than a standard Chinese lunchtime menu... Poor show.... Wouldn't return, nor recommend.
Went for lunch before going to Hydro. Good gluten free menu. Service was spot on and food was lovely.
Great service and good quality food. Nothing was a problem. Easy parking and so convenient for hydro. Would definitely recommend.
I had been before with my mum and the meal was very good - I brought my partner this time
And the meal was satisfactory he didn’t enjoy his meal chicken was over cooked and very chewy which ruined his experience as he couldn’t eat it such a shame as it’s not a cheap place to dine out
The food is good, service and atmosphere could be better, third visit and will continue to visit.
Excellent service, food was lovely very good value for money
Meal was lovely took a little while to be served and where our table was it was too cold as there was a draft coming in from the window
Food great and service perfect. Pre show meal and definitely a place to return to.
I would recommend it to friends but only after 7pm. The fact that the pre show menu is more expensive than the alacarte menu is very poor.
The food was very good and was worth it and if the pre show menu was no more than the ala carte then it would have been a near perfect meal.
It was alright, didn’t realise we were in for the pre theatre time slot, would have preferred a more relaxed, not rushed dining experience. Food was decent. Good value for money but just a bit of a let down being crammed in and rushed.
Second time to restaurant. Service not quite so quick this time but, there again, we weren't in a rush. I think it was just busier this time. Enjoyed food again. Would go back again. Plus it is so handy for the Hydro/SSEC!
Very annoying that you had to have the pre theatre menu. Food was not great, very greasy and definitively not worth the money.
Restaurant need a bit of refurbishment
I love this place & the pre-theatre deal is fantastic value! The food is delicious & portion sizes are great! Definitely recommended!
Good food, great service and the pre-show menu had loads of choice.
gyoza was deep fried and very hard(don’t know if this is normal but any dumpling i’ve usually has was steamed with a grilled bottom)
beef and black bean tasted of fish
told server and nothing was done about it.
won’t be back unfortunately
Pre theatre menu was exactly what we were looking for after an afternoon out. Hot, spicy, tasty and plentiful. Staff were friendly and attentive.
Lovely staff and food was outstanding. Visited before a concert at the hydro and enjoyed it very much. Will book again in the future!
Food was excellent and service. Staff very friendly.
Seating was the only let down
Lovely restaurant and good atmosphere. Staff were very friendly & service was fast. Food was good, good size portions on the A La Carte menu.
Food excellent and well presented . Service staff a little abrupt . I understand that at pre theatre times tables have approx 1.5 hrs time limit But I felt very rushed by staff , taking plates away when one guest finished instead of waiting till whole table finished eating .
I would recommend this restaurant to a friend, the food is lovely but it is a little over priced. I tried to book a table for 3pm on a Sunday and was told that I couldn't have a table until 4.30pm but when we arrived at 4.10 people were finishing their meals and the place was half empty. Funny how the evening menu starts at 4.30pm and is more expensive than the lunch time menu!
Great location for attending events around the SECC. Portion sizes are generous and staff are very attentive.
We had the pre theatre menu but the choice was extensive and all the food was delicious. Would highly recommend.
Great selection on the pre-concert menu, fabulous value for money too. Will definitely be back.
Yet again service was poor Arrived at 4pm as we had a concert at 5.30 By 5pm main course still hadn’t arrived but did shortly after complaining.
We had a very good meal at Yen Oriental. Service was prompt and the food was very tasty and piping hot. Our meal was a late lunch, pre Hydro event and the restaurant was busy. We had a table by a window but the window didn't close properly - the weather was awful outside and so it was a bit draughty! Otherwise, we had a very good experience!
We showed up a little early and we were still seated! The food was amazing and prepared quick and we weren’t chased away even though we may have been eating a little slower as we were enjoying our food so much
Disappointed in the choice and food was not upto the previous visits only had main course but paid for two
Food was really good but service was slow, we had to ask for a dessert menu and once we got the bill we were left sitting with it for a while had to go up and pay it.
Had ribs for starter, the best I've ever had..delicious. Followed by King Prawn curry with fried rice, also delicious. Prawn crackers & chips too. Nice, relaxing atmosphere with a nice view of the Clyde. Will definitely go again and would highly recommend.
Arrived when the restaurant was really busy, staff were still very efficient and friendly. Food was excellent and fast service, we will definitely be back!
Late for our booking due to heavy traffic. Despite being busy we were seated quickly and without issue. Food order and service prompt.
