The food was delicious. We especially loved the sashimi plate. It was tasty and fresh. The food was also suitable for our small children. It was extremely good value
Always have a great meal here. We will be back again and again. So many great dishes.
Amazing food! Absolutely felt like we were in Japan enjoying a delicious meal of yakitori and sashimi and everything else! Will definitely go back with friends and enjoy the banquet...
Interesting, tasty food, that was served in a friendly and efficient way. The restaurant is small, cosy, and atmospheric - and quite inexpensive compared with the cost of a flight to Japan.
Without question one of the best Japanese restaurants, in this price range in Sydney. Reminds me of the great little izakaya bars in downtown Yokohama by the river. Perfectly cooked yakitori, attentive service, good portion sizes, and the Happy Hour serves rarer Japanese beers at only $5-6. A must if looking around the Inner-West - plus finding a carpark is much easier than, say Newtown or Glebe.
Little neighbour gem...quite authentic and good food.
Love this place. Will be coming back soon. Authentic yakitori in a local setting.
Great food and service
An excellent friendly neighbourhood restaurant with authentic great Japanese food.
Yes, I would recommend to a friend but I would comment on the price. Food was good but value was not at all. I would think twice before returning
Nice food and good service, the place is really cramped and they gave us a really narrow seating area with tiny table to fit our food. They wouldn’t give us the big tables which were empty even after we left.
We love the food. But our seating position was awkward and the staff, while eager to please are not well trained. Our friends next today said they had upset tummies. We will return, just probably on a quiet night and without friends.
Had a wonderful meal here. Again! Took the kids and they were well looked after (we went early) amazing food. Great service. We will be back again
hall serving girl ( korean) was impolite. the restaurant wasnt full, but it was difficult to get served. i wouldnt go there again.
My favourite restaurant but always too busy , the table are too small, but food n service still great
Great food wonderful service
It maybe small but large in food and Sevice
Very disappointed foods.
The yakitori taste was terrible salty.
Karaage chicken was like a rock, hard and not juicy. And taste also salty. We couldn’t eat everything and left more than half.
Also i don’ t like sushi rice. It was blown colour. Normal white sushi rice is much more better.
I paid nearly ＄100 for salty foods !!
I never go again.
The menu is very limited, serving size was small for the pricing. Have had better experience.
The food was definitely amazing especially when it is so hard to find genuine Japanese food here.
However the one hour wait for a plate of assorted sushi after all the other dishes were served (all ordered at the same time), was not what we had expected.
We might not want to come back nor recommend this place to friends until the service is improved.
Friendly atmosphere with great food. Price reasonable. However the food took awhile to come out...
Loved it..everything is made fresh good service..proper Japanese Kirin...feels authentic
Great restaurant, good food and great with the kids
Beautiful food. Seafood taco and stuffed zucchini flowers are a must try. BYO is an added bonus.
Lovely but too noisy and 2 of our 6 guests had to sit on hard stools - may not suit some
Authentic Japanese Yakitori. Love the drink menu. Will definitely visit more.
Excellent service and food was delicious. Nice ambiance. Highly recommend.
Amazing and very much an authentic Japanese Yakitori restaurant. My cravings are always satisfied here.
Always have a great meal here! Great chicken skin and tender skewers - loving the larger menu now including sushi! Great local joint with nice people
Very disappointed. Booked dinner for 7pm. When we got there we were asked to wait outside and they sat down walk-in guests before us. Waited 45 mins to be seated then another 20 mins for them to take our order. We had to follow them up about our order as it took way too long...
The food was very good, and decor looked authentically Japanese, but the service was not up to cultural standard. Would recommend and return.
I was disappointed this restaurant.
Service was bad, food's over priced.
previous staff and recipes much better than now.
The food was excellent but slow to come.
The service was below average.
I’m a Japanese who loves Yakitori so got excited when I found that we can get yakitori in the inner west. Yakitori was good. I like that innerds were part of offering as any yakitori place in Japan would. Other dishes were also authentic Japanese. Downside was that all of the waiters were there to simply take orders and bring food and had some awkwardness in communication with the guests. The menu was confusing, not a lot of explanations where non Japanese would need and there were many spelling errors. Chef’s selection (omakase) assorted yakitori did not show breadth of the offering but felt repetitive. This restaurant is ok but I continue my search for a good yakitori place.
Average yakitori experience - omakase was predominantly chicken.
Excellent selection of share dishes, beautifully presented and prompt service all added up to an excellent first dining g experience at Jin
Genuine great Japanese food and best Asahi draft beer in Sydney. Been back twice in the same week and hope to fit in another visit soon.
Delicious, tasty and unique menu. Very friendly service. Very cool restaurant.
Can't wait to go back. Each meat or vegetable was grilled over the coals to perfection with little or no sauce. Chef highlights the essence of each ingredient. Masterful stuff. For a table of 4 including 2 bottles of BYO wine ($12 corkage per bottle), we ate like kings and came in under $60 per head. Outstanding.
Very yummy food, will come back again, service is good， already recommended to my relatives, kids loves the food too, the yakitori, grill rice balls, soup and the crabs rice are very delicious, as good as in Japan.
This place is normally great, but on this occassion the service was lacking. We ordered a rice dish but it didnt come, we then told the waitress and she advised they had forgotton and they were currently making us one so it would be a abit of a wait. We saw it being cooked in the kitchen, however it was given to another table. We asked the waitress again and she apologised while the other waitress laughed cause she incorrectly gave it to another table.
Not very satisfactory and a great let down.
