Wildfire - Tysons
Jose provided excellent and attentive service without being intrusive. Tableside house salad was a nice touch. All of us had the Filet Wellington special, and it was cooked to perfection.
Another evening with my partner at one of our favorite spots. Another great experience. Since my last visit, I have converted to being a pescatarian so I had to check out the menu for options but I didn't even feel need to be worried. Upon our arrival, we checked in and was greeted with great service as we are every time. Our waiter was a very pleasant gentleman who met all of our expectations and was just a "at the right time" type of guy. Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable of options and the daily menu. He read it right off the top of his head. Now for the food. Again since I am now pescatarian, I knew which parts of the menu to look at and that helped me narrow down the selection even more. I chose to go with the jumbo coconut shrimp. I don't think they are actually called that but the shrimp are actually of nice size. I personally do not like coconut shrimp but always try them to see if anyone can pull something off differently. Till this day I have not found anyone who can make coconut shrimp like Wildfire does. I will always recommend the coconut shrimp and will try them again because they have blown my taste buds away. The shrimp also came with a special sauce that complimented them very well. The shrimp by themselves taste amazing. They don't leave that overbearing coconut taste or that string coconut piece that I'm always fighting with later somewhere in my mouth. My partner had the crab cakes. Now for her, she said that they taste undercooked, and they could have been cooked a little longer. Taste like wildfire pulled them out of the oven when only top and bottom of the crab cake was finished. Wouldn't try again. Now one thing that is always a hit for the both of us is that great corn bread. We were served an initial basket when we arrived and an additional basket as we were eating. The cornbread is so delicious that we even grabbed some to take home! Thats like the best desert they have lol. Still our great place to eat, and we will be back.
I will suggest more food options . I dont have more comments. Thank you
Birthday dinner was good.
We were given a very nice private booth to dine in which, in my book, is always a plus. The waiter was very attentive and efficient and the food was delicious. I really enjoyed the corn chowder. It was made from super fresh corn and cream and was very good. I’m never disappointed with this restaurant no matter what I order from the menu.
My husband and I normally don’t go for brunch on weekends but wanted to experience it because we had lunch a week back and the food was so delicious.
I ordered steak and eggs and the steak was soooo tough and unfavored that my husband and I could not eat it. The eggs although plan were ok and the potatoes were pretty good. We also had a mimosa flight that was not that great and French toast that’s was room temp and tasteless( plain bread with powdered sugar). The syrup wasn’t even maple- so although we didn’t complain we were so let down with this experience- glad this was not our 1st visit or it would have been the last. Kind of bad when the best part of this breakfast are potatoes-
We reserved bar area seating for 8 pm and pushed back to 8:30. We also opted to use $10 Open Table reward.
Upon arrival, hostess said there was no bar seating available. We informed her of our reservation. She said she can’t help how long people stay at a table and that people sitting at table reserved for us have been sitting there for over an hour since they ate.
If that was the case then even our original 8 pm reservation would not have been accommodated.
Needless to say, we lost the $10 reward as the reservation was cancelled and we at “at the bar” vs bar booth. Bartenders’ were excellent... made up for rude host.
Great service! Food was good, though not outstanding. Definitely will go back though.
second time dining here at it was dissapointing. Of the five diners, only two had decent meals. Corned beef was very fatty, hamburger overcooked, ribs tasteless, french dip prime rib was dry. house white wine was so mediocre, left half glass behind. Service was slow. Will not be returning for a while...
I have been a loyal customer at Wildfire for many years. We usually celebrate our daughters birthdays and ours at Wildfire. Usually the service is exceptional but Saturday I was served my margarita on a glass that was chipped on multiple places on the rim. I told the waiter and he took my drink and transferred it’s contents to a different glass. I would think the protocol for this type of situation would be to serve me a new drink because you don’t know when the glass broke if there were chips in the bottom of the glass. My husbands martini glass was also chipped at the rim but decided not to say anything. I thought the server had lack of experience, he did not even apologize but giving me a chipped glass that could have cut my lips. I didn’t want to say anything to the manager because I didn’t want this to seem like I wanted a free drink. I was disappointed to say the least because Wildfire is our favorite restaurant for all our events.
Made last minute reservations. Everything was great!
Great as always - I'm always alone, and they make it comfortable.
Birthday. Kindly gave us flourless chocolate cake for dessert.
This was our first time there and we will definitely return!
Everything was great as usual. We always enjoy it.
Excellent service and great food. We were more than 25 folks seated at 2 tables. Not a single mixup of food or check.
All around fabulous!
Best salmon ever!
My wife like me enjoys salmon out and said this was the best she had ever had. Hers was maple wood grilled and was super moist and succulent. I tried the French dip beef which was great as well. Both very satisfying!
Almost always a great experience and good food. My server was a great guy and great sense of humor - takes a little ribbing well and very quick witted. Room was a bit louder than normal and mainly because the restaurant was packed.
Nice meal. Great place to meet for lunch. Not a fan of the salmon the past few times
The steak is so good I tried it ones and Now I go there usually
Fabulous food & service!
Great place for a nicer business lunch. Terrific service, quality food, something for everyone.
I have been coming to Wildfire for years, and it seems to get better and better. I will keep visiting.
Great meal! Our server brought a great desert for my daughter, without being asked! Superior service.
The wildfire grille is usually excellent and this time it was no different.
After moving away, this was our first time back at Wildfire in a while. Unfortunately, the visit wasn't one to encourage us to come back anytime soon. My wife and I had ordered filets (medium and med rare, respectively) which came out crunchy and burned on the outside. Our friend ordered a Romanian skirt steak, but asked for a smaller portion than 14 oz ... the waiter brought her a petite filet. Upon pointing this out, he loudly proclaimed that no, she had ordered the petite filet.
Overall the service was slow and the food very under whelming. The lone positive was the patience your staff had for our small children, which we are quite appreciative of.
My only complaint is that it was my sons birthday and even though we anticipated ordering desserts, we also expected he would be brought out the lava cake on the house. That dessert was not brought out before we ordered desserts but brought out AFTER I brought it to the waiters attention. At that point, the “free” dessert was excessive. I would have rather had the waiter simply give us one of the desserts we ordered on the house. Just a suggestion.
Good value fir $100. Nice wine flight. Sunday turkey dinner is our go to.
The restaurant was fine; my only negative comment is our semi-circle seats were across from a man not wearing shoes. His large bare feet in the aisle spoiled the atmosphere and appetite.
Meal and experience was good and as expected. Service, food and ambiance well done.
consistently good food and service - nice atmosphere
Going to Wildfire you are usually assured of having a very good experience. This time was just ok. We’ve been dining there for many years. This was our first time having brunch. Avocado toast breakfast was good not great. Bacon was served under done - way too under cooked for 3 of us. Eggs Benedict was just ok, too. Gave the impression of extreme portion control - not too much ham, not too much hollandaise. Kind of like having a sub made at subway where the meat and cheese is weighed and prepackaged so they don’t give too much. Seemed stingy and definitely not as good as other places we’ve had it. Breakfast potato portions were generous. Waiter could have been more attentive with the coffee refills. Also waiters foreign accent was so thick it was extremely difficult to understand him.
It's my favorite restaurant. That's why my name is on the wall!!!
As always excellent food and service. Beautiful! Our server was outstanding. She was professional and delightful.
It was our first time dining here and the food was delicious! We will definitely be back.
This has gone on my short list to never return. Went for my bday and my husbands tonneau was sent back 5 times! 3 different steaks, asking for medium. Always came rare, then returned and came back well done. It was rediculous! The last steak that was well done, the chef made the ‘manager’ come back with the steak cut along the bone showing a drop of pink and tried telling us it was medium. The rest of the steak was brown, no pink! The mean by the bone should be rare if the rest of the meat was medium. Hubby wound up having a sandwich. Meanwhile, my ribeye was really tough, but cooked correctly so I just dealt with it.
They not only lost our family dinners but my husbands lunch meetings.
The server seam to be new so she didn't seam to understand some request but overall it was ok.
Great service. Food is well prepared ans served . A must if you are in mall area and want an adult atmosphere when dining
The Wildfire Restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Northern Virginia. The atmosphere is great, the staff is incredible and the food is outstanding. Priced right, the food portions are large, always enough to take home in a doggy bag. If you want an enjoyable meal in a great atmosphere then lookno further than The Wildfire Restaurant in Tyson's Galleria. Tim is our favorite server but every staff member makes you feel as if you are their only customer . . . . Bob Namejko, Great Falls, VA
