Booked reservation and was lenient on tardiness. Was not a fan of the mermaid strawberry margarita - very syrupy with little alcohol for $20. Apparently it was a favorite. However, the pearl was delicious. Have to order an appetizer with drinks. We ordered the kettle chips for $10.. straight from a Giant chip bag. Very over priced, just for the scenery which is beautiful. Expected a little more effort with the food and drink given the great quality of the atmosphere.

View is incredible; food is subpar. Drinks are reasonably priced.

Worthless. Rude Host. Was out of over half the food menu items. You’re paying for the view.

Lovely cocktails. Only saw my server once, for our food order. I ordered my drinks direct from the bar and they were delivered to us at the table. Fully recommend a visit based on how scenic it was & I suggest you check the weather before you set your reservation.

Much smaller and much more limited than expected. Thought it was a restaurant but was more like a bar type situation with drinks and finger food. Seems to have a very nice outdoor space but wasn't able to enjoy it due to the weather.

Amazing staff and food. It's advertised as being all appetizers (which it is) but they are large portions and splitting the hummus and flatbread between two of us was the perfect amount of food. Moscow mule and manhattan drinks were 10/10, and the service was fast with a a=beautiful view!

Not what I expected. The website was not up to date. The menu on the website was not what was there. Of the 8 items on the menu they were out of 4 of them. On a good note, the space was beautiful and they had a pretty good bourbon selection.

Always a great time at Whiskey Charlie. The weather was nice last night so we really got to enjoy sitting outside w/ the amazing view. The bartender was good and the waitress, Lili, took care of us.

I do not think there is a word in the dictionary to explain how WONDERFUL our night was! It was pure magic. We started outside and absolutely loved the fire pits. We were too cold and moved inside. The food was delicious, the drinks were AMAZING, the atmosphere was SPECTACULAR & our server was just the right amount of attentive but distant. Whenever we are in town, this is our for sure go to spot. The elegant vibe was perfect.

The waitress at the frontdesk clearly had not read the reservation request. The servers were very rude with an unwelcoming attitude... They did not even try to accommodate one extra person with us after we requested it online DURING reservation and the place was literally half empty with an entire bench facing the sunset that was what we requested to be seated on during reservation but again, they clearly did not bother look at it. We ended being seated somewhere with literally no view with heaters that do not even work and a server who constantly comes to the table every 30 sec after you arrive to take your order so you feel very unwelcome kind of like "ok pay and leave" absolutely no manners or etiquettes! And worse of all is that no where on their website did it mention you have to order one of their overly priced awful food items (we mistakenly tried their pimento pretzel dip which is something you think no one can mess up) as part of their "new" regulations... NEVER repeating it again because it is not just an incident, it is clearly an actual neglect for customers esp since I had two visitors from out of state with me so that was embarrassing... There are so many other bars in DC with better food, comparable prices, similar views and most importantly, manners and etiquettes!

We had a great time, but there were no vegan options on the menu. We had to waste money on Kettle chips just to satisfy the one food item requirement, but other than that we had a great experience!

Not up to its previous standard. Limited menu, slow service. Staff overattention to time limits (reservations only cover 1 1/2 hours) means early seating (while awaiting others on the reservation) will penalize the group as a whole. Fortunately, the inattentiveness of the staff results in lack of enforcement of those time limits.

We love coming here to celebrate an event, show friends the wonderful view, and enjoy the great cocktails! We were very happy with our server and she was very accommodating to our needs (peanut and shellfish allergy). We were celebrating a birthday and had a wonderful time! The establishment is very clean, orderly, and well decorated. Will definitely be coming back here throughout the summer!

Forcing a paying customer out was not cool.

If you’re interested in just expensive drinks and mediocre service, this is the spot for you

It was an amazing experience. Great food, service and drinks. The view was outstanding

The view of the Wharf was great, and I really enjoyed the hummus and pita dish. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. However, the cocktails were really watered down and not worth the $17 price. Maybe stay away from the cocktails and order other drinks instead. Also, when we were seated, one of the chairs had crumbs all over it.

The view is very nice but this is also clearly a hotel bar that lacks any distinctive or unique character. When we arrived for our reservation we still had a 20 minute wait and the bar seemed understaffed. Service was pretty bad and the waiter was argumentative when we asked a question. Drinks were expensive in comparison to other nearby bars. It was also eerily quiet.

We had originally reserved a table for 715pm but since I am visiting, we had a change of plans and stopped by WC to see if we could get an earlier seating. The hostess was very friendly and seated us immediately. The staff and service were great. The drinks were amazing and the sunshine was definitely a plus!

Beautiful ambiance. Drinks were good, and food was good. Waiter was excellent.

Pretty good ambiance. Limited food menu but still good. Only issue was finding a sit inside after reserving for inside dining. A little wait but we got a table inside. Twas a cold night in March. Overall 7/10.

Wonderful time! Sad that they were enforcing the 90 minute seating rule though. Could have stayed for three hours.

My opinion is based on my pre-Covid experience. Definitely not the same now. The food nor the ambiance.

Food and drinks are good but unnecessarily pricy. Service was fine but felt like the mission was to upsell.

The glasses of our drinks were sticky and people were walking right Infront of our table and view taking pictures, not what i was expecting at all when i found this bar online!

Manager Maureen is awesome! I appreciate the care she gave to us.

The ambiance was outstanding. It makes for a great date night or a night out with friends. The best view of our great city I’ve seen in a long time. I can’t wait to go back!

The customer service was disappointing to say the least.

Great atmosphere! The view was amazing even on a rainy night. Staff followed COVID protocols so very well. I’ll definitely go again soon.

Went for dinner and drinks, gorgeous view outside. Food was delish & waitress was kind.

Didn’t like my food but maybe that was just my preference. The waiter was super nice and took all the food off the Order and comp’d a drink. Overall the ambience is nice with beautiful views but I would say it’s a drink spot more than a food spot.

Didn’t realize it was just a hotel bar but the service and drinks were great. It was pretty empty so a little boring but cute for a nightcap. Beautiful views and outdoor heat lamps

It was my first time being at whisky Charlie and it was absolutely beautiful and I really want to thank the manager on Valentine’s Day for being some helpful and delightful towards myself and my guest. Can’t wait to go back!
