   This was my first experience dining at Whiskey Cake. My companion has eaten there several times with her family, so she suggested we have appetizers. Each was excellent, from the deviled eggs to flash-fried Brussels sprouts (what a sauce) to garlic hummus. Ample portions left us content, but we had to try the whiskey cake at least. The description is sticky toffee cake, bourbon anglaise, spiced pecans, and house-made vanilla whipped cream, and it did not disappoint. Shout-out to our friendly and helpful waitperson, Will.

   The food and service are good, but my only complaint is the wait to be seated. This is our second visit, and even with a reservation, we still had to wait, despite the restaurant having plenty of empty tables. I'm not sure if we will return, as there are better options around Austin.

   We had an exceptional 15 year wedding anniversary dinner at Whiskey Cake. From the hostess, to our server Jasmine the experience was amazing. Rob the manager made sure that we were taken care of as well. Jasmine did a wonderful job and made our anniversary special. The food was delicious and the drinks were on point. Highly recommend

   Food is always incredible! Service was unbelievable. Everything Sky recommended to us was 100% spot on. And of course no meal is complete without a Whiskey Cake! Always great, a guest for life!

   Fun lively place, drinks were weak, food so-so, server was great, whiskey cake dessert is fantastic.

   Little noisy but it was Mother’s Day - very busy. Made a reservation, showed up 15 minutes early and was seated within 5-10 minutes of arriving. Service was great!

   We had a reservation and were seated early, and our waitress came over quickly for our drink & app order. The fried green tomatoes are amazing! We ordered the Dutch sandwich & the Hot Hen with a side of millionaire bacon. It was all so delicious as it always is! They were super busy with it being Mother’s Day, but, everything was served hot, quickly, & with care.

    We had nine for Mothers Day. Our request for table location was honored. We hoped being outside would be less noisy, but it wasn’t. It took a while to get our drink orders and one ordered wasn’t delivered. I think because of Mothers Day they might have been short staffed. So maybe that was why our waitress wasn’t attentive. We got our appetizers that were good. When our waitress finally took our order, it took a while to get our food. We needed some additional items (gravy for the chicken and waffles and salad dressing) but our waitress never came by. Most of the meals were good, the beet salads barely had beets and were dry and mostly spinach. The chicken and waffles were fine, but the chicken had so much batter it was hard to find the chicken. The farmers breakfast was great, except the eggs were requested to have no runny white and they came runny, waitress made excuses but they remade the meal. The Hash was great and the short stacks also. The adult beverages were great. All in all, it was fine, but won’t do Mother’s Day there again. But we visit Whiskey Cake regularly on non event days and always have a great time.
