All five of us ordered from the Restaurant Week menu and the food was excellent. I also enjoy the quiches on their lunch menu. Food and service have always made Vitea one of my favorite PV restaurants.
One of the most consistent ,high quality dining experiences from the service to the food.
Food was good. I would avoid the steak but the Pork Tenderloin medallions were delicious. Fun spot for people watching. Lots of energy.
best shrimp bisque in puerto vallarta (or maybe anywhere i've been). we spend our winters in pv and eat here at least a few times. i like that they offer both a small and large portion size option for their entrees. moderate ly priced.
The dinner was delicious! My friend had a wonderful birthday dinner at Vitea
Hands down the best dinner meal we had in Puerto Vallarta this trips. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone. Prices were phenomenal and food was even better
We had a wonderful evening at Vitea. We shared a squid appetizer then everyone had the red snapper. The meal was perfect. Service was excellent and the ambience was warm, friendly and relaxed. Perfect evening with friends. Highly recommend this restaurant. Great for people watching along the Malecon.
One of PVs best restaurants. Excellent food and service. You will not be disappointed in any selection you choose.
One of our favorite places in Puerto Vallarta. Great food with something for everyone. Service is excellent.
Met some friends for an impromptu dinner - Vitea was able to change our reservation from 4 to accommodate 8 at the last minute. The atmosphere was great - our server was awesome - and the food was outstanding, as always!
We loved our meal. Our service was excellent!
Always a place to go for good food and a fun place to "people watch". A very nice evening.
Valentine day and service was very slow. Food was good when it arrived.
Alejandro - our waiter - was exceptional. We went for Valentine's Day menu - we ordered each item - and they were all excellent. We look forward to our return visit.
It was a favorite, even last year...but seems to have gone downhill. Bad greasy food and bad service.
Location of the restaurant overlooks the bay and has a beautiful view of the bay. My wife and I went to dinner with friends. I had the chicken Parmesan and my wife had the same dish the food was excellent other people in our party were able to have half portions. That is part of their menu. The service was a little slow but efficient I would recommend it to anyone who wants to have a nice meal at a nice location.
Reliably good. Great view. Love the olive rolls. Good place to watch sunset.
We have been to Vitea many times and it has always been a delight. Today we were able to share the experience with our son and his family. Lovely Sunday Brunch. I would have liked to see more vegetarian and vegan options.
Food was good, as always.Service was slow. Our book group likes the place. Personally, I never rate food 5 stars. This is one of the better restaurants in Vallarta and I go here as often as anywhere.
We enjoy Vitea year after year. The Penne Carbonera is the best I have had anywhere between here and Chicago! Service is always professional. We love the atmosphere, inside or out.
To be clear. This has been our favorite restaurant for at least 8 years. We noticed some slipping last year, but hoped it was an anomaly. Not so. Food less tasty than in years past. Spotty service by several, Although our main waiter, Louis, was doing his best. Perhaps the main complaint was the noise level. Street noise was intolerable. The guitar player, part of the restaurant ambience, could not be heard. And he’s good. Overall a bad evening and a terrible value.
No more. This is a review of Sunday breakfast. We had a questionable dinner on Friday night and wanted to give one last try because this had been our favorite for several years. Sunday breakfast seems to be the worst. We’ve tried it several times. Even with a reservation at 10:45, it seemed as if they would rather not seat us. They offered us a table in the upper area which was had a couple of screaming children. Able to find us a table up front after we said no. Even though lunch did not begin for well over an hour, it was obvious that lunch was the focus. Never did get napkins. We had to beg for water, coffee, and pastries—always a trademark—informed “that’s all there is.” Really?? So few left at this hour?? Chilaquiles, soggy and cold. Victor seemed rather put out to wait on us. Obviously we were in the way today. Overall, the Vitea experience has gone downhill since they began serving breakfast. Always our favorite up to then. Kept trying because we wanted it to be even a bit good. Done now. Off to the River Cafe., which has been consistent and very good.
Excellent service very good food ,large sharable appts, Alejandro excellent waiter had califlower app amazing n pork tenderloin main excellent. Great thing is main courses come in two sizes So I got small portion for me. Dh had chicken parm just ok but all else very good. Good value , right on beach.
Great service and huge portions!
The location on the malecon makes for interesting vistas during the dining experience. Reception, seating and service were all done efficiently and with courtesy. We were able to select our table. Fresh breads and accompaniments were served. The menu had a selection of seafood and pasta dishes, as well as steaks. We had calamari appetizer. The pasta dish was fresh and the shrimp prepared perfectly. Followed dinner with coconut pie and coffee. Not inexpensive, but a fine dining experience. I would visit again.
Vitea Oceanfront Bistro was the venue choice for my friend’s birthday dinner. I requested a birthday cake, which was the most delicious chocolate cake we’ve ever had. The staff was professional and friendly and really went out of their way to make my friend feel special for her big day, even singing to her when the cake came out, lit with candles. The chef came out and thanked us for coming, which was a special touch as well. The food was absolutely delicious. I couldn’t have asked for a more special place for this particular event.
This was our first visit to Vitea and we loved it! Our waiter, Antonio, was first class. The food was outstanding, and we loved the quiet atmosphere. Highly recommend!
The service is always friendly without being intrusive, big smiles from the Service Staff and attentive to our needs. The food is excellent also. We live in PV and choose VItea often when we have guests. Plus, the location is terrific for people watching and enjoying the malecon.
Favourite place to have dinner and hand out candy to kids on Halloween night. Wonderful service and delicious food - thank you!
Great food. Do not miss the he Greek salad
Great waitstaff, excellent menu options, fantastic food!
Great breakfast and Sunday Brunch! Located on the boardwalk in Puerto Vallarta with a nice ocean view. Dining outside was great and you can dine inside also. The Breakfast included authentic Mexican dishes, and U.S. breakfast favorites. The French Toast and pancakes are excellent. The staff, food, drinks, and service were great! I took my wife their for Mother's Day Breakfast, and it was the best breakfast we have had in Puerto Vallarta. My wife is Mexican and I am an American(Ex Pat). This was the first restaurant where we could get a great Mexican and American style breakfast in Puerto Vallarta.
The Sunday Champagne Brunch is to die for!! We will try to go at least twice a month, and eating breakfast on the beach is wonderful.
You can't beat this location at sunset. My meal was good and service was excellent. I want to say the food was excellent however there was a bit too much oil on the salad but I did eat it. Fish and shrimp fish is very good and dinner portion a bit more than I expected but again I ate it all. Overall very good experience.
This was a fantastic place for a large-ish group of 11 to go for dinner. We had two people in our group who are vegan, and they were easily able to find something to fit their needs. The rest of us had amazing dishes across the spectrum - seafood, steak, and more. The food was fantastic, the staff were very friendly, and the view (oceanfront) was unbelievable. The only slightly offputting part was all the "entertainers" who came through to perform and ask for money. But, it's Mexico and that added to the experience more than it took away, I think.
Great food & great service! Right on the Malecon with a beautiful view. Never disappointed :)
Good food, service , and location, which is in the heart of the boardwalk. Free entertainment i.e. people watching.
Great spot for dinner and it has a good local feel. They do allow dogs in the dinning room and personally I am not a big fan. The wait staff is very friendly, the service is prompt compared to other places we've dined in Puerto Vallarta and the prices were very reasonable. Overall I was happy we chose Vitea for dinner.
Everything about the restaurant measured up to our expectations except the wait staff. This is a common complaint of ours through out PV but we expected much better from Vitea.
The staff seem far too rushed about getting our orders both for drinks and the main courses. We were meeting friends who we hadn't seen for a long time so our friend was in the middle of a conversation when our waiter actually interrupted her to ask us what we wanted to drink. I said nothing but held up my hand (in a Stop gesture) and he backed off but such rudeness should not be evident nor should it be tolerated in a restaurant such as yours. I assure you such level of rudeness would NOT be tolerated in any other country. It was the only complaint on an otherwise lovely evening but it needs addressing as it is totally puts people OFF.
