The Valley Restaurant brings a European feel to Niagara dining. Tucked away on a quiet street in north St. Catharines close to Niagara-on-the-Lake this trattoria style restaurant serves homemade Italian inspired cuisine. Everything is made in house from the fresh baked bread, fresh pastas and sauces, gelato and incredible desserts. The menu includes veal, seafood, steak, a variety of pasta dishes including gnocchi, lasagne, ravioli. There is a full cocktail menu and fabulous wine list including local and imported selections. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with a large fireplace, intimate tables, white linen tablecloths and impeccable service.

Their Italian food is authentic and all homemade. Although, the bread is basic but served with olive oil and balsamic. We experienced five meals which were superb... Veal, chicken, eggplant, lasagna and alfredo. Nicely decorated and good atmosphere in a renovated home. Parking is very much a challenge when the restaurant is busy. We found a couple of open parking at 5:30. We will definitely go there again.

Excellent service but food is barely 3 stars. Mussels were not tasty at all. No flavor except overpower with “wine”. Bread for Italian restaurant should be a lot better

great food, great service. we were not rushed and had enough time to completely enjoy our dinner. We would recommend this restaurant to everyone you will not be disappointed. if you have never been you must try it.

First time at Valley and wow!! Great atmosphere and super friendly staff. The staff couldn’t do enough for you and the food was amazing!! Highly recommend Valley Restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal!

This is a great restaurant. My favourite! The food is always excellent. Service is great. And the staff are very attentive. I really like the comfort and coziness of the restaurant. A great place for a great meal.

As repeat diners, who usually have a perfect experience at The Valley, this time was a bit of a let down. My sister and I were celebrating our annual Christmas luncheon. We have only dined at The Valley for dinner previously, and it is one of our favourites. Our lunch experience was a let down The timing of the salad and appetizer: We were 2 mouthfuls into our salad when the hot appetizer was delivered. Although we then rushed through the rest of our salad, to get to the hot app, the stuffed mushrooms, were at best, lukewarm, with the cheese, completely clumped. Tasty, but, definitely not as enjoyable as hot. We did tell our server, who offered to redo the app, but, by the time she asked, we were finished it so, too late to adddress. The ravioli was excellent, a bit small in portion, but delicious. The shrimp pasta dish was disappointing. Although tasty, yhe shrimp were so over-cooked, they were like rubber. The server was very good, although she seemed a little over-burdened with waiting an abundance of tables. We will certainly return, but, perhaps not for lunch, as the quality of timing and food wasn't up to par with what we have previously experienced in the past at the dinner service.

First time to this restaurant. Super good food. Vibe is cozy and friendly. Staff is very friendly. Definitely a five star.

My wife and I went to Valley Restaurant to celebrate our 15th Anniversary, and we couldn't have chosen a better place. Not only is the ambience inviting, but the food is delicious! It's definitely one of the best Italian restaurants I've been to since moving to Canada 9 years ago - or ever. Also, the service is spot-on. The lady who served us was extremely friendly and caring naturally and spontaneously. Needless to say, I'll come back over and over again in the future.
